I walked in for stitches around 6:30 and walked out close to 8 Pm, all stitched up! The staff (this includes everyone I met there or even saw in the hallway) were so friendly and supportive. I told the person that was with me that I felt like I should be wearing a crown! Really, if you are in a situation where you need to be at a hospital, you owe it to yourself to try this just once. Then she said that she wanted me to leave her office. Wow! We hadn't even had a conversation. I think she was angry about something else and took it out on me or she was prejudiced. She is a Haitian psychologist who judged me before we even had a conversation.

Also, they will try to hold you prisoner and not let you leave. It was a terrifying place to be. If you say you want to leave they will NOT allow you a phone call or ANY of your belongings, including your cellphone. They say you are free to leave, but that means being kicked on the street in a VERY bad part of town with NO Way to call for help. They will also try to threaten and intimidate you into staying. They will also drug you with medications to sedate you without your knowledge or consent. It's very scary. I was also told they have a "negotiation " with the local police department, and they would call the police on me if I didn't comply. I now have AWFUL PTSD from the intimidation and terror tactics they employ. Please do NOT send your loved one here. It will do irreversible damage.
