    Pulled Pork

My wife and I went to Brine on the Bay while we were visiting Panama Beach City, FL. I love barbecue so I was looking forward to eating their smoked meat. I ordered the brisket while my wife ordered the pulled pork. I got cabbage and fries while my wife got mac and cheese and collard greens. The side were very good. My brisket came differently than usual and was cut thin. It had a good BBQ sauce and was really good. My wife's pulled pork was better. She got a ton of it and it was really good. I talked with the owner, a really nice guy and we discussed his brisket. He said some people did not care for it cut thin. I explained how we normally get our brisket. Maurice, the owner has the flavor down. He is still working on the presentation. I would rather support someone like Maurice than a chain restaurant. If you have a chance, try his BBQ, it's good.

Beverage cooler. Canned coke, Pepsi, red bull, assorted beers, juice and water.

We were quickly greeted as we came in shortly after opening. We ordered a few dishes. I went with the rib plate. I wanted mac n cheese and greens but she said the greens werent ready yet. Opted for cabbage instead. The ribs were tender, although they were probably cooked in an oven and not actually BBQd; the mac n cheese was okay; and the cabbage was a little on the firm side which is fine. Just kind of feel like I could have made the same meal at home and it would have been more to my liking. But it was a decent meal in a pinch. We also had ordered some orders of wings with some baked beans and slaw. Beans were the better of the two sides. Also had a pulled pork plate with mac n cheese and tater tots. They ask how you like your tater tots, regular or crispy--which is nice. They have a beverage cooler with a decent selection of non alcoholic beverages and beer. There is also a shelf with a good variety of hot sauces and BBQ sauces. All in all, the food is okay--made from scratch for the most part which can be appreciated. The decor and ambiance of the place is welcoming and comfortable. The view and location is nice. The staff is also welcoming and attentive. We also came back later in the evening for a few beers and sat outside listening to the music next door.

Brisket, ribs, mac and cheese, tots and baked beans.

Friendly service, fresh delicious food full of flavor. Great view and close to the oaks by the bay and great shops. Ribs were so juicy, and seasoned perfectly. Mac and cheese was to die for. Baked beans had amazing sauce. Even the tots were seasoned perfectly and better than anywhere I've had!

Pork BBQ sandwich and potato salad

Hi there!! Another review from Panama City, Florida. Today, we ventured to Brine On The Bay for some BBQ! It's just a little place on St Andrew's Bay. Absolutely beautiful scenery. 2 gentlemen enjoying each others company told me it has the absolute best sunset views! I believe it. The pork BBQ sandwich was really good. It had a wonderful smokey flavor and their sauce definitely added to it. Potato salad was yummy and the seasoned fries were good as well. The 2 young men working it were so nice! We will definitely try the chicken BBQ next time! Thanks guys for a lunch to be remembered....

From the moment you walk in, the vibe is warm, colorful, and welcoming--think beachy charm with a touch of artsy personality. The staff are genuinely friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which sets the tone for a relaxed, enjoyable meal. The food is where this place really shines. Breakfast and brunch are standouts, with creative twists on classics. The French toast is thick, fluffy, and perfectly sweet, while the omelets are loaded with fresh ingredients and cooked just right. Their baked goods--especially the muffins and pastries--taste homemade in the best possible way. If you stop by for lunch, the sandwiches and wraps are equally impressive, packed with flavor and generously portioned. Coffee lovers won't be disappointed either--their brews are rich and smooth, pairing perfectly with the menu. Everything feels thoughtfully prepared, not rushed or mass-produced. Whether you're a first-timer or a regular, you can count on great food, a laid-back atmosphere, and service that makes you feel like part of the community. Unfortunately, this was a really disappointing experience. We came with a party of 12 for brunch,…read moreso we expected it to take a little longer, but it still took about 50 minutes for our food to come out, and we ended up being there for nearly two hours. The food was very hit or miss. My grilled cheese looked like it had been smashed in a panini press, but the cheese wasn't even melted, and the bacon didn't add much. The fries were honestly the best thing on my plate. The chicken salad sandwich was incredibly dry--more like a brick of chicken salad between two slices of bread than an actual sandwich. The grits were by far the worst part of the meal. They were watery, the grains tasted undercooked, and the texture was just awful. My mimosa was basically orange juice with little to no champagne, and using pulpy orange juice made it even less enjoyable. To be fair, not everything was bad. My mom said her eggs Benedict were some of the best she's had, and my sister's BLT was okay, not terrible, but definitely nothing special. Overall, aside from the fries and the eggs Benedict, the food was disappointing, especially considering the wait. We left wishing we'd gone somewhere else.

The host was very hospitable and seated us immediately although the table we were seated at was a little wet and sticky. My wife and I both ordered iced tea with lemon. Tea was ok but was not served with lemon. I reminded the waitress and after 5+ minutes we got our lemon. We both ordered the 1/2 pound burger lunch special, hers with a cup of shrimp and lobster chowder and I had a Caesar salad It took ~30 minutes to get our food which seemed like a rather long wait for 2 burgers a cup of soup and a salad. My wife absolutely loved the shrimp and lobster chowder and the Caesar salad was fine but could have used a bit more dressing. The burgers were absolutely not amazing. I'll go with a solid "meh". I'm going with 3 stars because of the slow service, so-so burgers (I have had tastier burgers from Costco), but these negative points were somewhat mitigated by my wife's glowing review of the soup. I don't expect we'll be rushing back here anytime soon. Total came out to $36.30 including tip.
