First time here for the wife and I. We're waiting to pick up our dog from the groomer and figured we'd stop by for a quick bite while waiting. It was 2pm and not very busy at all. The host was very hospitable and seated us immediately although the table we were seated at was a little wet and sticky. My wife and I both ordered iced tea with lemon. Tea was ok but was not served with lemon. I reminded the waitress and after 5+ minutes we got our lemon. We both ordered the 1/2 pound burger lunch special, hers with a cup of shrimp and lobster chowder and I had a Caesar salad It took ~30 minutes to get our food which seemed like a rather long wait for 2 burgers a cup of soup and a salad. My wife absolutely loved the shrimp and lobster chowder and the Caesar salad was fine but could have used a bit more dressing. The burgers were absolutely not amazing. I'll go with a solid "meh". I'm going with 3 stars because of the slow service, so-so burgers (I have had tastier burgers from Costco), but these negative points were somewhat mitigated by my wife's glowing review of the soup. I call longhorn and spoke to a manager by the name of Joan, (17 Feb$) I explain to her the horrible situation of my order! I receiving a undercooked lobster, instead of a fillet steak, I got it receive a sirloin steak, no broccoli. I called and expressed my concerns to her, gave all my information and that was over a month ago. Yet, I have received no comment or a gift card in regards to my disgusting order. I do have pictures of the undercooked Lobster on my phone so if they need to, I can share it as well as the over cooked steak . It was not a fillet steak! As I explained to the manager, a customer complaint should be a compliments, allowing you as the manager to adjust to providing " outstanding Service"! read more

I took my son there for his 18th birthday. We were on vacation. It was supposed to be an enjoyable event. We even went to the restaurant during a slower time of the day. So, we wouldn't have to wait a long period of time, and the servers wouldn't be bothered much by us. However, We had to wait so long that, my kids who are normally engulfed in their phones, were wondering where the food was and why everything was taking so long. My kids are normally respectful and don't rush waitresses because their grandma was a waitress, but we waited a very long time. I had to go ask for our drinks. Later I had to go ask if there was a delay with the food. Also, even though I had asked about my son being sang to because, even though that was unwanted by him, it was supposed to be funny. I asked about that when we first arrived. They never sang to him or made it special at all. This place is terrible. The service is awful. We never got hateful or rude, but I did tell them that we didn't appreciate being ignored. The bill was high. Which was expected, but for being treated the way we were. It was ridiculous. That restaurant needs new management to say the least. Where we live the longhorn is great. That is why I took him to this one in the first place. I expected him to have a good experience. Absolutely terrible experience at LongHorn Steakhouse tonight. The restaurant was clearly short staffed, but the overall service and management were unacceptable. Multiple tables sat dirty and uncleaned for long periods even while guests were waiting and empty tables were visible. We waited nearly an hour despite open seating, and when we finally got service, our server didn't write a single thing down. On top of that, they were basically telling my friend what to order instead of actually listening to what he wanted. The whole experience felt disorganized, rushed, and poorly managed. I understand restaurants get busy, but basic hospitality and communication were completely lacking tonight. Definitely one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. We went in, waited for 10 min, got seated and waited another 10 minutes until two tables seated after us had a server come to them and get drink orders and then we decided to leave. No one even looked our way. The manager opened the door for us to leave and asked how our meals were. Wish we could have answered. read more

Been there twice since they opened, first time was about a month after they opened, they brought me a steak out that was triple seasoned, they can't even get a burger right, and ordered a Ceasar salad and I got a little bit of just regular lettuce and that was it, no parmesan cheese, no dressing, nothing. The burger was stone cold. The sad thing is, The people that work there. Don't Care, but they get pissed when you say something, so I just quit tipping, if I go back in there the next waiter is gonna suffer someone else's stupidity, if the kitchen is the problem the wait staff is gonna loose. The difference between this LongHorn Steakhouse on 23rd street and the one on Panama City Beach is everything. I normally would not go to a franchise steak house but was invited to a family dinner. Service was attentive and friendly. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Steaks cooked as ordered, fresh salads even the side dishes were really good. The Longhorn on the beach according to a few of my family was terrible. They couldn't believe how everything was so good at the 23rd street restaurant. If you want a family atmosphere with great service food and price this is the place. read more

Our waitress was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of. The restaurant is new so it was very clean, at least the parts we saw. The food, well, as others have stated, just too salty. I think the chef/cook at the grill has a very heavy hand when it comes to seasoning. I had the 7 pepper salad, the amount of spice was just too much. I like spicy food but the spice on the steak in the salad was too much. I also asked for 'medium' steak and it was almost raw, not pink but red in the middle. Spouse had a burger and it was too salty. I wish the manager would dine on a meal prepared the same way many of the reviewers have stated their meal was made. The food was like warm when it came out but we had waited almost 1.5 between sit down and good actually coming out so was just glad to have food. I had started eating my NY strip, it tasted nice but when I cut further into it was bloody too much for me to stomach and undercooked to what I requested. When the server came she admitted it was undercooked and took it away to be put back on the grill. It came back one very hot, it was charged on (bits of black crispy bit) it had shriveled up half in size and was swimming in oil and very greasy, it was disgusting, it was no longer edible, the oil has taken away the taste of the steak,even after usingy napkin to pat the steak, and the texture was no longer succulent and easy to cut, it seemed like it had been nuked in the microwave and the threw in a pan of oil and reserved. This location is absolutely awful!! Tried this place on 3 different occasions. The first time we had been waiting about 15 minutes. A family of 5 goes in and is sat immediately. We asked the manager what was going on and somehow they lost our check in. Second time, we waited and waited. Went all the way over to Texas Roadhouse at pier park and got seated. They finally sent a text saying our table was ready. The last time, we waited only about 5 minutes to be seated. The issue was, we sat there for 8 minutes before the guy came to even take our drink order. Then, once he took it we still sat there for another 15 minutes without drinks or our bread. There were people who came in, sat right next to us and had their drinks and bread in about 2 minutes. This place awful and I will never come back here. Hopefully, they shut down soon. read more

Wow. Showed up at 11:15 am for a birthday lunch with 5 of us. We were the first two to arrive. Others a few minutes out. Wouldn't seat us til half the party arrived? Restaurant is empty. Hostess said she had to ask the manager if could seat us. Came back, manager said no. Unbelievable. So we left and went to Outback. They seated the two of us immediately. When your policy overrides your common sense, you really need to re evaluate your management. Anyway, spending our money at Outback! read more

We ate here for the first time June 25th. It was my grandson's birthday. Our waiter was obviously a pro since he knew the menu and offered advice. We all ordered Ribeye steak. It was done to perfection and didn't take long to prepare. I was a bit skeptical based upon some reviews I read (about too much salt) before we went but none of our food was over-seasoned. The food was mediocre at best. I had a Porterhouse steak, the biggest and most expensive on the menu. The taste was poor even though the cook put butter on it. Perhaps he didn't clean the grill often enoug. The loaded baked potato had very little load. The ceasar salad didn't have enough dressimy. The server said they bring an extra cup of dressing, but didn't. The service was excelllent. We sat at the bar because the host said the wait w be 35 minutes for a table. The ambiance was good. Ordered a $30.00 filet medium rare. Took 25 minutes to get to me and it was well done. They literally gave me HALF of a sweet potato. Mac and cheese was good. If you want a good streak just run across the street to Publix and buy one. To have such horrible food for a single occupant at the bar on Saturday at 2pm is sad. food was good but the manager was so rude. we got a text saying our table was almost ready, the host told us it would be a couple minutes but he would grab us when the table was clear. no big deal. the short, frizzy manager in an olive green shirt came up and very snarkily said " I'm pretty sure we're trying to seat you but SOMEONE isn't checking their phone" we checked, there wasn't a text saying our table was ready. That's not how you talk to people. this was the first time I've tried longhorns since it opened, and you could tell she influenced the atmosphere there. Brand New Longhorn restaurant! Went out for Lunch, Other half ordered a Salad and Onion Soup and was satisfied. I ordered the Longhorn Cheeseburger all the way medium with fries. Our waitress, a prime candidate for assisted living was terrible. The place was 20% full and it took 50 minutes to receive our meal. Fries were cold, condiments old and the burger fell apart like Biden in the debate. If it were only mediocre I would not have complained. Some minion whom posed as a kitchen manager came out and looked at the Train wreck on my plate and didn't have enough common sense to comp the meal. You know what they say, you can't fix stupid and needless to say that's my last trip to the Horn. We did go during training when it 1st opened and the food was FANTASTIC!
