Wow, great place! We are camped across the street and walked over Friday evening for drinks. Despite the inside being packed, we found space at the bar and enjoyed chatting with our stool neighbors about local things to do, places to eat, and so on. Very attentive bartender. I looked up their website and found they have daily specials, and on Sunday it's shrimp and grits. My husband HAD to have it. We ventured over this morning right at 11:00 and sat ourselves at a high top near the bar. Our server Morgan came by promptly. Their version of shrimp and grits is unlike any you have had before. Very rich and mildly spicy cream/cheese sauce with shrimp, grits, spinach, mushrooms, and okra. The sauce was made with smoked gouda. Huge portion but he ate it all. I got a grilled grouper sandwich. Absolutely delicious. Morgan was delightful and talked with us about her career plans. She was covering the entire indoor area during our visit so she was really running. We can hear the music from our campsite, but they pull the plug at 9:00 pm so it's not too noisy late. There's alway a place anywhere you go that proclaims "it's where the locals go" - in my opinion Patches Pub is definitely that place here in PCB. Although there's an expansive outdoor sitting area complete with a band stand we chose to sit inside the crowded, cramped main bar area and what a great choice that was, the locals were extremely friendly and inviting, quick to toast a drink, share a story and tell a joke or two. The bar side is definitely the place you want to be but good luck on landing a stool there, we were fortunate to grab a two top window side next to the exit to the patio, come to find out it was great and we couldn't have been happier. The staff here is hopping, friendly and attentive there's a lot of spaces to cover and they do an amazing job. We were looking for a dive bar and found it - what a fun time, no pretentious people or food just cold beer, good pours and fresh made bar food. We shared an order of pork rinds, wings and chicken tenders no complaints the food fit the venue. If you're looking for a good time in a social setting this place will make you smile... read more

We decided to come here for a late lunch. I had been here before, but it had been several years. This is definitely a hole in the wall type restaurant. There are many TVs here, so this is definitely a good place to watch the game. We came here on a Sunday afternoon and seated ourselves. There are a bunch of dollar bills on the walls with people's names on it and lots of patches as well. We started off with the cheese fries appetizer, which was really good, but the cheese could've been a little bit more melted I ended up getting a pizza while my boyfriend got the burger. The burger was very big as he got a double patty. The pizza was good. I probably would not get it again. It seemed like our waitress had too many tables, but she was doing her best. Patches was one of the best restaurants! It was busy, but the severs were very nice and tried their best to serve everyone! The food was really good, and didn't take too long to come out. The food was very good. Went on Monday night for chicken wings 1lb for $6.99. Our waiter was handling several tables and still took great care of us. We were able to take our dog and he was given a bowl of water and some milk bones to keep him happy. We enjoyed the live music. read more

We sat outside and although it was very warm, they had a fan blowing, which was really, really nice. The server came over, took our drink orders and let us know that she was busy and she was going to take ardor and quarters in the table next to us.And then come back and take our actual food. Our friends ordered Pizza. We ordered the tater tot loaded thing, and that was really good as an appetizer. The queso on it just made them so awesome. I also ordered the tuna tacos, and those were fabulous. The tuna was perfect and the tacos were fully loaded and stuffed, very well. Two tacos, and it was very filling. The only bad thing was that we all had our food and our friend who ordered a Pizza. We're still waiting, and that seemed to be the norm, based off of what the waitress told us. read more

We found Patches Pub open late on a Thanksgiving night when most other restaurants were closed. The place was packed as this is a popular hangout for locals. The waitstaff was friendly as were the regulars around us. The tasty cheese curds were a good starter and since the table next to us recommended the wings, I was all in. The habanero sauce was not really hot, but it was fine enough for a late night meal. Wifey took on the burger and gave a thumbs up for the choice. Throw in salads for sides and overall was a nice surprise for a dive bar. Parking lot outside is a bit small, but we managed to find a spot near the front. Next time we are in town, we will be coming back when looking for another late night snack or just a place to chat with the locals. read more

We came in to watch the UFC fights, and as expected, the place was absolutely packed inside and out. Despite the crowd and the chaos that comes with a busy fight night, Dani provided outstanding service. At one point, an older woman at the bar became belligerent because she was upset about having to wait for her pizza. She loudly cursed at Dani and repeatedly belittled her. Through it all, Dani remained calm, professional, and incredibly gracious. She never lost her composure, kept a smile on her face, and handled the situation with a level of class that was honestly impressive to watch. I also want to recognize Gus, the bar back, who tried to help de-escalate the situation and calmly reason with the woman. Both Dani and Gus handled themselves with patience and professionalism while being subjected to behavior that no employee should have to endure. Another customer even stepped in and tried to calm the woman down before staff ultimately had to remove her. Throughout the entire incident, Dani conducted herself with patience, dignity, and professionalism. Customer service is easy when everyone is happy. The true test is how someone handles difficult people, and Dani passed that test with flying colors. She deserves recognition for the way she represented your establishment. We can't say enough good things about how she handled herself that night. We will keep coming back due to the excellent staff!! read more

Have been wanting to try for several weeks and finally caught a Monday I could go for their "1 pound" wing special for $6.99. The server was running the inside by herself so service wasn't very good, not her fault though. Took maybe 90 minutes to get our food which was just a couple orders of wings. The wings were excellent even though my biggest disappointment was the special is 1lb of wings and it's really 6 wings. It's more like a half pound. Very misleading. Ordered blue cheese with the wings and they brought ranch and with the lack of staff we had to just go with it. Probably won't go back, they should change their special to 6 wings and not advertise a pound. read more

We had the absolute worst server that exists, Deena was so incredibly rude. She was too busy taking shots at the bar to pay attention to her tables. Food was cold by the time she decided to do her job. Drinks were watered down because she took so long. Not sure how she even has a job there, guess they hire anyone. We won't be back and we heard great things, guess we got bad luck being stuck with a terrible server. Deena was THE WORST server we have ever had. read more

I'm usually pretty high on Patches, but tonight was a final straw. Decided to have dinner, was able to find a table, server took drink order because we sat a table with someone that was closing out their tab. That's when it went downhill. Received our drinks, but no one came by to take our food order for almost 30 minutes. We've should have known when the customers we sat with satiated their server disappeared. Order was out in incorrectly. I ordered 6 wings and server out in 10 wings. When the wings were delivered I questioned if it was my order and server stated guy who took my order out it in wrong. Instead of saying we'll make it right and just have the wings, she proceeded to say do you want the 10 wings. I stated I ordered six, and that's when she removed the wings and probably threw 4 wings away. The bill was correct but I was just taken aback by the lack of customer service. Since this place was purchased by new owners it just has kit been the same. Tonight was my last visit to Patches. If you like them, good for you, keep going but I've had more bad experiences than good. read more

During our stay in PCB we were looking up places to have some great food in a relaxed beach feel environment and we found Patches Pub. The second you walk in you understand the name - there are patches (motorcycle, police departments, fire departments, military, aerospace and TONS of other groups) from all over the US and probably further. There are also hundreds of dollar bills on the walls where people put their names and where they are from and they get put on the walls also. Even the ceiling tiles have decorations! Very cool vibe. We are eating Carnivore right now and their "Patches signature double bacon, egg and cheeseburger" looked delicious. Had the bun left off, and WOW that plate of meat with the egg on top and perfectly cooked bacon on the side was amazing when brought out. The patties were thick (probably 1/3-1/2lb each patty!) and juicy, covered in cheese and a over easy egg on top. The flavor of the meat was fantastic- could not stop until it was done. If you're looking for a casual dining (indoor and outdoor seating) with a very cool vibe and delicious food, give Patches Pub a try. I know we'll be back. read more

Not a trip to Panama City Beach without stopping by Patches at least once. The drinks are always cheap, the wait staff is helpful, and the music is always good. We sat on one of many picnic tables available and had a great night with family. The Lemon Drop shots were great and went down easy; the 30A was also a great grab. Will be returning soon! A really busy place in a really busy town. We say outside, I normally don't like this, but they had fans to keep the air moving and it was quite comfortable. We started with the totchos, nachos made with tater tots, we chose pulled pork for meat. These were excellent. My fishing buddy and I were both indecisive about the same 2 burgers so we decided to get both and split then. We got the Bleu cheese burger, which had slices of Bleu cheese. It was loaded with flavor and cooked perfect. The other burger was a barnyard burger. Bacon, egg and all the fixins. This was also very good but it preferred the Bleu cheese. They were very busy but the server was attentive and visited our table regularly. They added an 18% gratuity to our order because there were 6 of us. This is a bar, I really didn't expect this. I usually tip 20 percent or more but when forced to tip a certain amount, that is all they get. Good food and service but the tip thing is such a bad practice. read more

So, I've read some reviews and not sure how anyone would give this under a 4, but to each their own I guess. We definitely didn't have an experience less than a 5 star. Staff were great along with the food. Even had a guy singing live outside. Took a couple patches from my Department and let my daughters put them up. Food - patches patty melt was freaking fantastic! Wife and one daughter had the fish tacos and my daughter had hers down in a heartbeat. Other daughter had chicken strips because she's weird. Cheese curds were really good, just felt like there wasn't that many. All and all the food was great. Best sweet potato fries I think I've ever had. $3.50 for fountain drinks is pretty dumb, but we kind of expect higher prices than what we are use to in Kansas. Service - wish we would have gotten the waitress name, because she was awesome. Super friendly and she worked hard. Food was quick and hot. She was super nice to our daughters Ambiance - I think this could go either way depending on your style. The burger I had was a nice size for the money but for me, I ordered it medium rare and came out well done with and no juice left in it at all. The toppings on the burger were top notch quality and the burger was served with delicious seasoned fry's.. I also tried some wings that were plump and juicy with a nice outer crispy skin. I ordered them with the dry rub, but I felt the rub was very bland or under seasoned, but would definitely would order them again, but with one of the sauces. We live in PCB and have been going to Patches for over 9 years. Based on the food and service today (from at least 4 different staff members) it will be our last time. Poorly trained server, very dry patty melt, barely warm fries, and inability of the kitchen to assemble the hot dog special without onions. We arrived around 11:00am and the restaurant was not busy. We were the only ones in the indoor dining area. The bar had some customers. The drinks took almost 10 minutes. Total time to receive the food was almost 20 minutes. The local charm of Patches is sorely missing. read more

Cons: Drinks were not very good for the price. Overpriced for a casual sit yourself on picnic table place with no view. Portion sizes lacking. Cole slaw was horrible. I have no problem with 18% gratuity being charged but on top of that was a $10 service charge that I have no clue what it was for.
