I had found a great shortage of beds in the area, and some places were down right rude, wouldn't call back, one even hung up on me, when I got persistent. Seaside was none of that. They immediately gave me a tour, and I found a warm caring environment. This is not easy in this profession. Coming up on a one year anniversary, with NO complaints. I would be happy to have a family member be a patient there. The Cedars is non-profit, and their focus on quality patient care shows. The bottom line is not about money. I was proud to work there, and I would work there again. It is a clean facility, with very caring CNAs who are very good at their jobs. The nurses are smart and caring. The PTs, OTs, speech therapist and therapy assistants have excellent skills. The Cedars have had the same staff for many years. Overall I really am impressed with the level of care they provide.

Boot camp classes are held on floors that are concrete and the instructor has them jumping. This is not good for anyone let alone people that are a bit older! Considering the gym is for the older or aging population and the majority of the attendees in the boot camp classes are 55 and older, some of the moves were too advanced or unsafe on the body. But how would a 20 plus-year-old who is teaching know better? The gym is dark and a bit dank. Locker rooms are clean and nice, but there is only glass separating two showers so you can see the other person's silhouette, which is quite concerning and uncomfortable if you have body image issues. The instructors are sub-par to say the least.
