Great washers/dryers. Only drawback: PRICEY. Definitely will check out other local laundromats.

So I have my own washer and dryer in Bellingham, however at the moment my washer is out of service (currently waiting on the repairman and some new parts!). So as a household we were starting to pile up our laundry over the last week. Today me and my mom came to Brio cause we desperately needed to wash some towels and clothes, and the moment we walked in we were impressed with how clean and inviting this laundromat is. It is well lit, big windows, modern machines with a variety of washer sizes depending on how much you need to wash. The machines take credit card, so no need to save up your quarters, and the attendant made sure to come around frequently to make sure everyone found a machine for their laundry. It was busy, but thats to be expected on a Saturday afternoon, however my mom and I easily found an x-large machine to do our laundry and we enjoyed the free wifi as we waited. TL;DR: Don't waste your time going to any other laundromat in Bellingham. Hands down the best laundromat I've been in. read more

This laundromat is the nicest anywhere. If they sold coffee, I'd sell my laundry machines and come here to drink coffee, wash my laundry and relax. It's such a nice place! The usual experience when going to a laundromat is walk in while trying to avoid being shivved by the stabbing enthusiast that is loitering outside. If you've safely made it past the door guard you fight for a cart, have a machine or two eat your change until the grizzled laundry official notes that the machine has been out of order since the early 70s. None of this applies to brio. Coming here is a joy. It even smells nice inside. The staff are nice, the machines are new and text you when you're done. Everything is amazing. The only con is it costs maybe a buck more then the traditional place but if your life's worth it. Brio! read more

I like this place! Great place to take anything to wash and dry. The parking is tricky.... get there early, don't give up on the laundry place because of the parking. Lots of great technology to make doing laundry easier and you don't leave feeling like you wasted time doing laundry. Cool fancy detergents to purchase at the retail desk/kiosk. I've been here a total of 3 times and something was wrong each time. Meaning, a machine didn't work or the service person couldn't figure out how to solve the machine problem. The first time, there was water all over the floor from broken machines. I don't know why people like this place. It's close so I really tried to like it. The employees are probably not getting the highest wage, but they don't have to be rude. This is my last time here. It's worth the drive to go elsewhere. read more

Most laundromats have a creepy, murder scene vibe to them, or feel like you might get your clothes stolen if you blink too much. Not Brio. Light, airy, clean and full of friendly faces and high efficiency machines! I bought the loveliest detergent (Caldrea products and more are offered. Omg!) and a cute dryer ball. There are brio cards you can prepay for and get a discount if you plan to do lots of wash or return. Everyone is extremely helpful, and there weren't any loiterers lurking about. I had much of my belongings out in public eye- no problems. Yelp had a coupon for a discounted washer detergent, and my favorite brand was offered! They have natural products, and the air doesn't feel stuffy. This has redeemed every seedy laundry establishment in my mind, and I will never go anywhere else. Nice work Brio. The best laundromat facility I've ever seen. The cost for each load is approximately $6 - $8 and large dryers go for $0.40/min. There were plenty of baskets with rollers and table space for folding. The machines had a text system that will notify you when your laundry was done. There are plenty of places around the area for food and drinks while you wait. read more

Best! Laundromat! Ever! Sometimes, I wait until I have 4 or 5 loads of dirty laundry before I think about washing it. When this happens, I need a cheap laundromat so I can do it all at once and get back to my non-laundry-centric life. I got a tip from someone that Q Laundry had insanely fast and large industrial dryers that greatly reduced the time I'd have to spend waiting for clean laundry to dry. Little did I know that was only one of the perks of the Q. Here are others: * 3 different sizes of washing machines: normal, larger, and huge. * Clean! Everything is super clean! Floor, tables, machines, windows, everything! * Not expensive. They could charge more and I'd pay it. * All machines accept credit cards! * Wifi. At a laundromat! * Located next to Trader Joes. First time using a laundromat, did not have high expectations. Brio took everything I ever thought about laundromats and flipped it on its head. It was impeccably clean, cleaner than my own home. Not to mention it was oh so speedy I was in and out, in no time at all! I could have been in this place all day, I am thinking about coming here to get computer work done from here on out. They had plants all around and intriguing magazines, fun music was also playing the whole time. All of that being said they also have free wifi that I had no problem connecting to. Moving on from the physical space the customer service was top tier, the two ladies up at the front desk were so helpful with every question. Not only were they helpful but they were kind and enjoyable to be around. Another important to include was the price, everything was very fairly priced. I did not feel like I was being scammed out of one load of laundry. All in all if you are looking for somewhere to do your laundry in the Bellingham area. An easy five stars! They were so friendly and helpful that it made me search my closet for other things that needed to be dry cleaned. They have experienced knowledge and understanding of their field, giving me suggestions and recommendations about stains. They got the stains out of my comforter, it came back smelling of fresh lavender whith a HAND WRITTEN NOTE! I would give this place 100 stars if I could. Awesome. read more

I almost didn't share, because I would like to keep this gem to myself. Literally the best laundromat ever. They have three machines that wash AND dry. You don't even have to switch it out. $9.50 per load, but a regular machine is $6.50, plus at least $1.50 for drying time, whereas I can go to Kulshan, and have a beer until I get the text from the machine saying I have ten minutes left. They take cards. CARDS! Clean. Cute. Adorable. Friendly. There's a gear drying station. For reals. Such a stellar spot, too. Makes waiting for our washing machine to be repaired, tolerable, and almost enjoyable. I mean, there's a garden across the street, Trader Joe's, Labels, I think there's a spa near Labels (unless it's closed now), just so many options. So Fabulous. read more

Let me begin by saying that I usually dread doing laundry. Like many Bellingham apartment renters, we have a washer and dryer, but they are so inefficient that I would spend the whole day doing 2 loads of laundry and the clothes would still come out with a less than clean smell. The washer and dryer were also spiking our energy bill, so I decided I needed to try something different. I was not disappointed with Q Laundry. We went in to Q Laundry with two HUGE bags of laundry, probably weighing at least 50 pounds each. I asked the attendant which machine to use, and she directed us to their largest machines. We were able to fit all of clothes in 2 machines-at home, that would be at least 10 loads! The attendant didn't just point us in the right direction, however. She also stuck around to show me how to use their machines which are high tech, modern, and clean. Their machines take debt/credit cards, which is an amazing plus for me. Now I don't have to plan ahead to do laundry; I can just swipe and go. Once we started the wash, it only took about 30 minutes. While we waited, they had pleasant background music playing and free Wi-Fi. The laundromat itself is clean, warm, welcoming, and smells good. It feels more like a coffee shop than a laundromat. It did not have any of the sketchy vibes that other laundromats sometimes do. The washing machines also text when they unlock, so you are free to wander to nearby shops while you wait. Our clothes came out of the washer smelling clean and fresh. They provide new, clean carts to easily transport your clothes from the washers to the dryers. Since we had huge loads, our clothes took about 30 minutes to dry, but I imagine that less enormous loads would dry even faster. They have big folding tables next to the dryers to sort and fold your clean laundry. My favorite part of this experience was that they have a magic t-shirt folder (like the kind they use in clothing stores) to fold your t-shirts into perfect, flat piles. So, not only is my laundry clean and smelling fresh, but I now save a lot of room in my dresser because my t-shirts are folded in the most space-saving way possible. Q Laundry made me sincerely enjoy doing laundry, and I am even excited to go back! Q Laundry was so impressive to us that having a washer and dryer is no longer a requirement for our apartment search; I think that's the highest praise I can give! read more

This is by far the classiest and nicest laundry place I've ever been. Maybe it's been too long since I did laundry at a laundromat, but it seems expensive! It was $7.50 for me to do a load of wash in the large machine. I do love how we can pay with a credit card. That's so convenient. Who wants to carry around $15 in quarters?? read more

I don't normally need to use a laundry mat, but since my dryer is currently down I decided to check out this one since I've heard great things. This laundry mat was nothing like what I remember going to as a kid, it's so nice and clean, and the machines are so new and spacy. The attendant was super friendly, and helpful. I'm sure she noticed my struggle, with all the clothes I had, and my 2 kids. She asked if it was my first time, and told me about their brio card I could purchase to save some money, she even came over and added up how much I would need so I could purchase the right amount. I'm new to Bellingham and absolutely love this place. There's a laundromat in Portland similar to this that sells food and drinks and there is an attendant that gives out free scoops of soap (hint hint ;) My only complaint would be that ive been here 4 times now and I've never had the text when your laundry is done feature work. Double checked the phone number, even tried it on a friends phone with no such luck. But not worthy of downing a whole star. read more

This is probably the cleanest laundromat you'll ever use. Always staffed always friendly and helpful if you need help. (They also have a drop off service where they will do your laundry for you but it's expensive.) I think our only problem here is the parking. Though there are several laundromats closer to us we come to this one (depending on traffic, at least an hour round trip for us, compared to the one closest to us which is 15 minutes away) but I try to arrange it for when my husband can come to help carry the laundry if we have to park out a ways. If you show up very early or later in the evening it's not so much of an issue. Consider that it's a very good laundromat, so it's busy. As some have commented, it is more expensive but there are options to get discounts. The machines take cash, credit or you can purchase a reloadable Brio Laundry card which they will ADD 10% to it (discount #1) when you purchase that in any amount - you just pick your machine settings and swipe it to use it - very easy. Come on Tuesday's when the washing machines prices are marked down a dollar (discount #2). Or there is another day (Wednesday's?) when you can get discounts on washing (even free ones if I'm not mistaken?) but you have to show up early for that. I think it's one discount per machine for the day? (discount #3) (you should ask for clarification on that.) There are rubber ducks in the machines with discounts written on them. If you still think it's expensive consider what you're getting! They clean their machines every day. They seem to be well maintained and the place is bright, clean and not run down! Also the bathroom *for patrons only* is clean and well maintained. There is NONE of the dark, creepy/dirty, "need to go home and shower" feel you get from other places. They also have a wash basin with a hot/cold faucet and a spray nozzle, there is also a place to hang dry very large items such as outdoor gear (a small tent or some such thing, scuba gear maybe?) The washers are locked when operating so it's safe to leave your laundry - there is a Trader Joe's, a breakfast diner and a Pita Pit for eating along with some other businesses to browse. There's free WiFi for while you wait but I've not found it to work too well. There's plenty of magazines to read, a decent variety. There are a several comfortable chairs to sit in and a counter at the window with stools for sitting or eating. They have an overhead door that's open on nice days and closed if it's too cold or when hot, they turn the air conditioning on. Really nice having that big door open in the summer months! The owner is really nice and she welcomes pets. We've needed a laundromat for nearly 2 years. We hope to be done with all that soon but I am honestly VERY thankful for THIS place. It's made the chore of "going to the laundromat" not near the chore it would have been otherwise. I highly recommend Brio. read more

Super clean facility with decent lighting, seating and free wifi- the setup and decor are actually really welcoming. More than enough machines to choose from on a Tuesday night, including the large size machines needed for comforters. They even have a setting for deep cleaning pet bedding. The attendant this evening, Ashley, was incredibly friendly and helpful- she took time to explain the payment options and machine operation, as well as to check in occasionally. Ample parking, reasonable prices- definitely a step up from the last place I used in town. The rechargeable card option is a nice feature, with associated bonuses when you refill the card in-store. I've used Brio laundry service three times now. It costs about $40 for them to wash my king size comforter and pillowcases. Turnaround time is a usually a few days or less. The first time I went in, they explained I would receive a text message when my items were ready for pickup, and showed me a rack where the laundry would be waiting. They said my package would be marked with a 4-digit number corresponding to the one printed on my receipt. Great, this sounded easy and convenient. So I proceeded to use their service, and picked up my first two packages without issue. However, today when I went in and picked up my package from the rack, a rude woman stopped me and informed in a VERY condescending tone that I was doing it wrong. She berated me for not going up to the cashier counter to formally check out my items, and implied I was stealing. Extremely abrasive and accusatory. Okay, first of all, no one ever told me I had to check out at the counter. More importantly, I really don't appreciate being spoken to like a five-year-old who has "been bad." This woman obviously doesn't understand how to treat customers (HUMANS) in a small community. Get a grip on the attitude, then maybe I'll consider doing business with Brio again. Based on how I was treated today, it's an abysmal 1-star and I'll be spreading the word. read more

On the positive side, Brio did an excellent job washing a stained sail cover that I thought was beyond redemption. On the negative side they accidentally washed my clothes with an artificially scented product. I had made it very clear that it needed to be unscented because I have multiple chemical sensitivity. The only way to get rid of the chemical scent was too hang my clothes out in the sun for many days. This worked for the natural fabrics but the synthetic items had to be thrown away. read more

I have been around town here in Bellingham, did some Landry in a couple of locations. This will be the place I will be returning to, awesome location, very very clean, new washers and dryers. One of cool things about here also, it will notify threw text message when your wash is done... now I'm just waiting on the dryer. There is also a great coffee place at the corner, and a little diner type just a couple of units over towards traders joes. They except coins and credit cards... hope this helps anyone. read more

If you think $8.75 (wash only!) a load is a fair price for clothes that don't get very clean then this is the placed for you! The large machines did not hold what would be a full load with my home washer (also newer, front loading, eco machine). My clothes were not as clean as my home washer either. read more
