I've been using Ferndale laundry for two years. The humans are always present, always helpful and ALWAYS scurrying about keeping EVERYTHING swept and clean. It's always busy but never crowded and I've never had to wait for washers or dryers except for one of the two huge ones and that's rare. wow! I am still so shocked (5 hours later) about the prices going up here. Total was $50.50 for 2 medium and 2 small size washers! $19.75/medium size washer!!! that's $10 more! i will not do that again. im sorry but for what it's worth, this laundry mat is still the best in quality in services and cleanliness is 5 star. my overall star rating is mainly regarding the price increase. Take note that I am writing this at 9pm... I just left the Ferndale Laundry mat. I used to really like this place but the one thing that seems to be a continuous issue is the customer service of the workers here. I am fully aware of the 'last load in at 8' policy they have because my work schedule only allows me to make it in here just before that. Never once have I not made it out the door before 8pm but the assumption that I will take too long by the workers and how rudely they will treat you DUE to that assumption is just awful. Tonight the gal wasted more of my wash time explaining what I was already aware of because I showed up at 8:04! Not only that, bcuz I could understand if they wanted to get home and needed to be out the door with the key in the lock at 9pm....but this night there were several of her children with her washing the overnight drop off laundry. So they won't be leaving for a while still .... Not that I needed any more time then what I am allowed... But would it have hurt them if I was 5min over? No. Then I say "thank you!" I shoot the couple girls a kind smile as I walk out at 9:47... And the look of disgust on their faces was enough to make my blood boil honestly. What ever happened to customer service? Now don't get me wrong, this facility is very nice, the machines are excellent, and in fact there are one or two workers that are very helpful and kind. Though I felt strongly enough about how poorly I was treated tonight that I should at least let people know that they shouldnt expect service with a smile of any kind from here. It's too bad that people these days don't realize just how much being kind to someone can go. read more

Extremely helpful and patient when I asked at least 10 questions during the time that I was there. I juggled heavy items and had no clue how to use an updated laundromat system. This place has the best washer and dryers in Whatcom County. The service is friendly and inviting. The location is at a spot that is easily accessible so you are not carrying your laundry for miles. They offer great discounts. The new Speed Queen machines do take a little time to set up at first as you are encouraged to put the app on your phone, but for good reason. The staff is always there to help if you need. Once that's all covered, it's smooth sailing. The app allows many different ways to pay. It also gives you reminders of the time left on the machines. You can load money on the card and just swipe the card when needed instead if dealing with quarters or needing change. This is all done through the app. It also keeps track of spending and offers a rather nice discount with your services. Finally, a laundromat in Ferndale! Keep up the great work read more

Very good machines that are modern and offer a variety of ways to pay (cash, card, with employees at the counter). Only 2 of the real big washers, but we didn't have to wait so that wasn't a huge issue, handled our comforter just fine. read more

My washer went out on me and I do wash daily as we own a residential and commercial cleaning business. So happy to know I didn't need to drive to Bellingham to do my wash. Friendly service, pay and start machines from an app on your phone. Machines are so new, I've never seen anything like them! I ran across street to Rite Aid and I recieved a text and email my machine had 3 min til complete. I will never go anywhere else. Affordable and state of the art machinery. Don't go anywhere else. You know you live in a small town when you get excited about a landromat opening. This is probably one of the nicest laundromats I have been in. The people who own it are the nicest people, they actually really care about the customers. You can use an app to pay for the laundry and the prices are really good. My mom took some stuff in to get washed the other day. When she came back they had folded all the blankets and comfortors for her and even helped her take it to her car and load it up. Great Service. They have a TV, and also an alteration lady available for use. read more

I never thought I'd review a laundromat but I just wanted to share what a nice experience it was doing laundry here yesterday. The laundromat is so clean, the machines are new and have a mobile pay option. There are plenty of fold stations, a nice sink area and bathroom. But mostly I want to commend the staff person on site. She was friendly and helpful, recommending the right size machines, constantly cleaning and tidying up, and even gave me some crackers to calm my toddler. Thank you! read more

This place is amazing. All of the washers and dryers are brand new, brand Speed Queen, and can be controlled by an app from your phone. You can choose to use quarters as normal, or you can load money onto the app and start your laundry/get notifications when it's finished. If you don't want to link a debit/credit card to the app, that's alright too. There's a machine installed that allows you to scan it's code from your phone, and then you put your cash into the machine and it automatically loads onto your account! Took me less than an hour and only $12 to do all of my laundry and I had two tall baskets and one small basket. Loading $25 onto my app gave me a free $5 in rewards and you earn cash back on every load you do. Only 5 minutes from my house, officially never going anywhere else but here! read more

I used to drive from Ferndale to Bellingham to do my laundry but I am so happy Ferndale Laundry opened! It is insanely clean inside and the machines are so easy to use whether you download the app, or use coins. It is also significantly cheaper than I was paying before and the laundry machines and dryers take half the time of your typical laundromat machines.
