They had one guest with a child requiring a high chair. The high chair would have been in the way the aisle causing safety issues for staff and customers. They were then asked to move inside and seated beside us. The group was a gaggle of ladies, loud, obnoxious and rude. The oldest lady proceeded to berate the staff for saying the set up inside created the same situation and what was the difference. The high chair was next to an empty table out of the way of foot traffic. The table kept insisting what the difference was for the set up inside versus their preference for seating on the patio. My fiance then got up to the staff counter and explained we have witnessed the insulting be behaviour of the table and that the staff operated appropriately. As a result, we did not want to be seated next to the group and wished to be moved elsewhere if possible. The restaurant was busy and the staff tried to accommodate. Shortly after, the young female manager came out to the the disruptive table and calmly stated the restaurant would not tolerate their behave and asked them to leave. The table was incensed and continued to be loud and disruptive until their departure. My fiancé and I were so pleased and proud the staff stood their ground to not tolerate that rude and entitled behaviour. I was rather embarrassed for the table particularly given the age of the woman doing most of the yelling. The next table over of young people also came over to us and voiced their displeasure with the table between us, citing he too he is in the service industry and the staff did not deserve to be treated like that. This is our review of the integrity, customer service and hard work that takes place at Sunny Morning, on the Queensway. Happy to support the staff and enjoy their food with a pleasant, friendly atmosphere and good food brunch! Well done to the store manager on shift, Aneesa our server and a couple other ladies who were subject to this poor display of civility yet they maintained their professionalism and cool highly recommend this place for great eats, fast efficient and friendly service.

For me the sausage had too much fennel spice & the bottom of the pastry was literally black (see pic). This was served to the table without an issue but I found it lacked the taste of a traditional English sausage roll. My main was the Sunday evening house special, Roast Beef. It was accompanied by mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables & Yorkshire pudding ($28.00). I asked for the beef to be medium/well. When it was delivered, the beef was WAY undercooked & the mashed were only lukewarm. When I returned the plate to the kitchen, it should have been redone & sent back to my table. Instead the beef was microwaved & the undercooked part of the original piece was simple left on the plate. The potatoes were then cold. I ended up sending the entire meal back & cut the dining experience short. This was disappointing all the way around. Our server "Dana" was decent & respectful & understood what the issues were. She was good enough to comp our meal & it was the right thing to do. We DID tip our server in spite of the kitchen issues.

A friend and I went for lunch, and what struck me upon entering was how clean it was and its stylish yet understated decor. Our server attended to us quickly and gave us a corner booth where I had a nice view of the entire restaurant. I ordered the wedge salad to start, which I've liked recently because I'm a big fan of crunchy lettuce and chopped bacon! My main was a Pappardelle Bolognese, which is quickly becoming one of my favourite pasta dishes and Lume Kitchen did it well! And to close is a desert I never pass up - cheesecake of the Bananas Foster variety. A decadent way to finish off a superb lunch. Can't wait for the next time I go to this Etobicoke eatery!
