If not for Summerlicious, we wouldn't have known this phenomenal and underrated place in Etobicoke. A friend lives around the area so I decided to find a restaurant close by. Was a little bit skeptic that I will find a good restaurant outside downtown Toronto. And boy was I glad that we went outside of our comfort zone! Lume Kitchen & Lounge totally blew up our mind with its exceptional food quality, beautiful ambiance and outstanding service. We decided to get different appetizers to try but my fave was the Brussel Sprouts coz it's seriously good. Perfectly roasted and crispy brussel sprouts with creamy hummus and labneh is such a delicious combination. And with the addition of the sweet drop peppers and toasted walnuts - you know you have a winning dish here. For our mains, we ordered the Bolognese and Vegan Pappardelle Pasta and another friend ordered the Fish & Chips. The flavours in each of these dish were perfectly balanced and all ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. We were also surprised that they give massive portion sizes. Not complaining, but for the price we paid it was totally worth it. The New York Cherry Cheesecake is everything a cheesecake should be - rich, creamy and holy cow was sooo good! The Strawberry Romanoff is very refreshing and just the right sweetness - a tasty treat to beat the summer heat. This restaurant also prides itself in providing prompt and efficient service. Alma the server assigned to us was simply the best. She's friendly, attentive and checks up on us all the time which ensured a positive dining experience for us. We can tell she's passionate with her work since she genuinely enjoys interacting with her customers. Kudos also to all the staff especially to Chef Alex. Aside from developing delectable and unique dishes, Chef Alex also manages to interact with his customers which gives a personal touch to a customer's experience. We will definitely be back soon and can't recommend this place highly enough.

We went to Lume for drinks on a Friday night. The restaurant was not busy, so we were seated right away. We opted for the patio, which was very cute with string lights, lounge, as well as high top seating available. The inside of the restaurant was modern and well decorated. I ordered a French 75 cocktail; a variety of food options were also available for order.

Great food, even better service!! Come in and ask for Melissa!! Also, the tiramisu is FAB

Pan-seared Atlantic salmon with roasted squash purée, broccolini, and blood orange beurre blanc--this dish looks as incredible as it tastes!

terrible service the servers don't take care of you don't ask you for drinks then on top of that they don't get your order right look at you crazy when you correct them and the service is also very backwards we got our food before our drinks. the food was also not good i had french toast and it tasted more like toast then french toast. also i don't like how they took orders for people that came after us. the outside is also full of cobwebs. i would never come back here.

We came upon this delightful place on a hot summer afternoon and decided to try something new. Highlight is definitely the baked oysters which are remarkable (crisp texture of crumbs perfectly complemented by the buttery flavours). The chicken was roasted to a perfect degree of tenderness and infused with a harmonious blend of herbs. Staffs were so friendly and helpful despite us joining outside the usual eating hours. The dinning room is bright and lovely with a spacious patio. Looking forward to trying the steak next time.

I'll begin this review stating that I very rarely take the time to write restaurant reviews. However it would be remiss of me if I didn't take the time to share just how impressed our party was with tonight's dinner line up. We ordered the buratta, grilled octopus, olives and oysters. For dinner, some of us had the lamb shank and salmon. Hands down, we all agreed, that everything on the table was delicious! Like EVERYTHING. From the presentation, to the flavours, quality, including all of the accouterments. It was perfection. From the toasted baguette, the sauces the olives came with, the toppings for the oysters, the habanero sauce to the "fall off the bone" lamb shank, down to the churros and the cappuccino! Perfection. It's also nice to know it's right in the HumberBay neighborhood. We've been here a bunch of times before for brunch (which by the way is also a must try if you have not yet come... especially their eggs Benedict and French toast brioche... OMG). Friends of ours said to check out dinner and I am so glad we did. And to top it off... the service in this place is top notch. Exceptional! It would be really lovely to see this place continue to thrive for years to come. Thank you Lume staff well done!!! . FIVE STARS!! (Wish we got more photos, we were so busy enjoying the meal that all we got were the oysters! lol)

Very nondescript outside facade - no sign telling you what it is other than a small "BSC" (for Bovine Sex Club) painted near the door. Hard to miss though as the exterior is made up a punk rock style sculpture of rusted bikes & other assorted ephemera. The interior is similar, visually. Great sound system & chill vibes pervade throughout. Weirdly the stage is right in the entrance of the club, on your left, with a long bar along the right side, heading back. Great, crowd, great location in cool area with lots of restaurants & plenty of parking - both on the street up to 2 hours & extended parking for a flat-rate of CA$20 (~$14 USD) from 6:00pm until the next morning, just 2 blacks away.

Are the beer cans running out? It's possible. But, it's a dive in the way of the old dives. And the acoustics for bands are... not great. But they are a sign of what once was. Without attempting to try to present a front of a time long gone, The Bovine simply exists today as it once did in that time long ago, before Smokes stickers, before iPhones, back when people would just go to a bar to talk with those they didn't know the morning prior. Bring cash though, unless you're looking to make some big orders, because credit card is a minimum fifty-dollar spend.

Forreal though, the run Soho House had can only be rivaled by 2011-2015 Whole Foods. You really had to be there... but like any other prime, Father Time always catches up. I was set to do a full rise and fall piece on the Soho House right here on Yelp but in my research, I stumbled upon an article by Lydia Moynihan in the NY Post and she nailed it. I really didn't have much to add so go over and read that if you have a sec. Shoutout to Lydia. Instead, I'll just recap our experience here like any other boring Yelp Review. We came to this Toronto location before the Taylor Swift concert, and I was pleasantly surprised. It felt like prime Soho House. A beautiful, discrete brick building with an old school interior. Whoever designed this one needs a raise. I'm so tired of the cookie cutter half-assed modern architecture. The ones in LA and NY now feel like it is just a bunch of dorks trying to be seen by God knows who. There is no soul in those locations. We grabbed a drink in the lobby and went upstairs for our 5pm dinner. I domed a couple of negronis and we split a margherita pizza and a bottle of pinot noir before our mains arrived. I got the rigatoni, per the waitresses recommendation because she had a thick Italian accent. Big truss. She wasn't lying either, that rigatoni went crazy. I took like 30 pictures before a staff member came over and said no pictures, as I didn't know that was still a rule here... please don't beat me up. We closed dinner with a couple espresso martinis before setting off on foot to go see Big Tay put on a show. She really did her thing. Thank you Soho House Toronto, for giving me a taste of what the Soho House used to be in the states. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

They have a eclectic and faux rustic vibe going on with seating and sight lines set up so that you can watch who is in the room. Truly designed for today's busy d-bag to allow them to half listen to their guest over cocktails while they scan the room to see if someone more important has walked in. The food is meh and it feels like this place simply exists for indie film and local television producers to feel like they are a part of some scene. There are 200 better places to eat a short walk from here.

Sometimes you walk into a place and you instantly fall in love…read more Lonely Diner is just such a place. It's got this '70s rec-room basement vibe that I personally find completely irresistible. If I had a house, I'd want at least one room that looks exactly like what Lonely Diner's got going on. And fortunately, the drinks and food live up to the incredible atmosphere. I started out with the Haw Yeah ("Rum blend, amaro meletti, pernod, hawflakes, high octane black sugar falernum, mulberry grenadine, lime"), which is a delicious spin on a typical tiki drink. I've ordered it twice now, and it's satisfied me completely on both occasions. Another favorite for me is the Lucky Numb-er 8 ("Gin, pomello & lemongrass gentian, cocchi americano, dry vermouth, sichuan peppercorn tincture"), which is their spin on a white Negroni. It's so damn good. It's packed with flavor and definitely reminds me of a Negroni, but like better than any Negroni I've ever had. If that wasn't impressive enough, the food is terrific too. I tried one of their specials, the Wasabi Fried Chicken Sandwich ("Sichuan peppercorn battered fried chicken with a wasabi spiced caesar dressing and anchovies on a brioche bun"), on my latest visit and it's so, so good. The perfectly cooked and impressively juicy chicken is accompanied by an incredibly flavorful assortment of accouterments. I inhaled it, pretty much. The servers at Lonely Diner are super friendly and helpful, too. I love Lonely Diner. I hope it sticks around for a long, long time.
