However, the meat was so dry and overcooked. We picked at the shashlyky, but the 'smoked ham' (ribs) were so dry as well as the chicken wings, which were inedible (and pricey). Wings looked to be reheated from a previous day's bbq. Have eaten here before and this time was so disappointing. Recommend sticking with traditional dishes (ex. borscht, varenyky).

Enter the door on the north side of the building, following signs to help you find the way to where their perogies are! I am not a fan of potato & cheddar cheese perogies - and I wanted to try their potato & cottage cheese one. But they were sold-out when I was here. It was around 4:30pm. So, I got the potato & cheddar. But surprisingly the potato & cheddar tasted great! Right saltiness. They bring out the best of potato flavor, fluffy yet creamy texture, with a hint of cheddar cheese - oh they were sooooo good. I felt that the sauerkraut and mushroom one was a bit too sour for my liking. I wished for more mushroom flavor in it as well. But the wrapper itself had character, natural, chewy and soft. Nothing goes wrong with this wrapper! Frozen perogies were a bit tricky. Unlike other store bought frozen perogies, they came in tin-foil container, and it instructs to heat in the oven n 20-25 mins. One container had 12 pcs, which is too much for my household (2 persons). I tried to boil a few, which turned out to be flabby leaking perogies. Then I tried to fry a few, adding a bit of water. Which was a huge success! Most impressive was Mushroom Vushka. Full of Mushroom flavor enclosed in this tasty wrapper. Addictive. I should come back for this again. I liked this place a lot, humble and truly tasty! Cannot wait to try more food here!

I really don't like tomatoes or cabbage, but there is something special about the cabbage rolls. I ate very bit of mine. The pierogies were wonderful. I usually prefer just potato and cheese, but honestly between those and the meat, I couldn't decide which I liked more. Both were flavorful especially with the sauteed onions and sour cream. My son's schnitzel was huge! He could only eat about half of it and when my son asked for ketchup (much to my dismay) the owner was very nice about it and commented that's the way her daughter likes it too. Honestly the food was absolutely wonderful and the service was great. It was very similar to what I had in Poland. If this restaurant was closer to my home I would visit often. We had no issue with parking. We were able to get a spot on the street right in front of the restaurant. Parking was also not too expensive since you aren't in the downtown area. The food is excellent, although they don't serve some of the specialties of the region where my family is from. I can make those myself, though, so no problem! Interesting fact: most people I know call it Baby (like the crying one) Point, but people who have lived in that area for generations call it "Bobby Point". Can anyone tell me which one is correct? Aside from that, if you are in the mood for some good, traditional, Ukrainian food, Baby Point (however you pronounce it) is a great choice.

Most notably are the freezers full of many…read morevarieties of pelmeni and varenyky (Ukrainian pierogies, which are smaller than Polish pierogies, but just as good). They're Grandma's Perogies brand which are made right here. I bought the cheese and potato pierogies and the Ukrainian pelmeni, which both tasted great! Compared to other eastern European stores in the area, they have a smaller selection, but carry some different items than what I've seen elsewhere. But overall I'd recommend the store if you enjoy Eastern European goods!
