    Empanadas

Cute little empanada place. Homemade items. The beef empanadas were the closest to the Buenos Aires ones we had years ago. Stopped by this place every time we're in the area of WPI. A must try for a snack or meal. There are only a few seats with high tables. Most regulars do take out.

what a great find. I had some time to kill and heard about this place and had to stop in and check it out. It was easy to pop in; there's a convenient parking lot right next to it. The place is very clean and bright. they had display case loaded with beautiful goodies. it was a hard choice but I tried the chicken with béchamel sauce. It was most excellent. The nice lady behind the counter warmed it up for me. She really made me feel welcome and I sat at a table and enjoyed it. I will definitely go back.

Messi, fatay, spicy chorizo, criolla empanadas.

Empanadas weren't fresh. Was disappointed after seeing all the hype on social media. Service and atmosphere were mediocre.

Great variety of empanadas, for both the meat and non meat eaters. Prices are very reasonable.

Empanadas are made fresh and brought over from their Kelly square location so quality is still there.

We tried 6 empanadas between us and they were flavorful and fun. I was happily surprised that the three were enough for a meal-I was smiling as I finished them. The spicy chorizo had a noticeable slight pepper to it, the chicken mushroom was fun with bechamel and the beef with cheese and bacon reminded me of a great Philly cheesesteak. The spinach was surprising in its deep flavor and light flaky crust. Definitely worth trying! The kind woman who helped us was pleasant, knowledgeable, and promptly prepared everything. The ambiance is cute with the coffee cups having angel wings. If you are in the area, it's worth stopping by!

I called the restaurant immediately to explain what happened and try to find a solution. The person in charge was not interested in hearing any of it. He kept insisting I had canceled the order, blamed me repeatedly, and refused to move past that point no matter how clearly I explained the situation. He eventually got rude and hung up on me. Yes, he actually hung up. When a restaurant chooses to partner with DoorDash, they take on some responsibility for how delivery problems get handled, particularly on large orders. The right response is not to interrogate and blame the customer while a ready order sits on the counter. There was no attempt to help, no offer to make it right, just defensiveness from start to finish. We ended the night with nothing. A large group of people, no food, and an experience that left us worse off than if we had never ordered at all. If something goes wrong with your order, this is how Che Empanadas will treat you. We will not be ordering from them again, and I would strongly encourage others to think twice before doing so.

I like to try a variety of food and decided to try this place. I want to make it abundantly clear that this three star review has NOTHING to do with the service. The young man who cashed us out was incredibly kind, understanding, and explained every aspect of the food. He even offered to let us try a free empanada. Their service was 5 stars worthy. The food was not. I had the bowl and my significant other had the chicken arepa. He said the arepa itself taste good but was small for the price. My bowl was just okay. The rice was bland with some hard pieces, plantains were mushy, and the beef was a little stringy and I felt it was pretty bland as well. The black beans were the best thing in the bowl. My dish was warm at best. I'm disappointed to write such a low review because I wanted to like Sabrosa but ultimately I should have tried any of the other dozen options for lunch in the market.

It's got just the right mix of bounce, density, and butteriness, without being too greasy. Big, fresh blueberries (not the shriveled kind). Plenty of crumbly streusel on top for extra taste and texture. Their mixed berry has multiple fruit presence and more of it, minus the streusel. Also very good. Sometimes the muffins are warm. Sometimes a little long in the tooth. -- Cakes: That's their claim to fame, and for good reason. They're more expensive than most, but so dense, rich, and heavy that a small slice goes a long way. My favorite is the chocolate raspberry decadence (pool of raspberry atop a deep, dark chocolate frosting). Or maybe the strawberry snowflake, which is like the best strawberry shortcake you ever had. -- Cupcakes: These often feature some of the same ingredients as the cakes, such as that killer chocolate ganache. Great for the toppings and fillings, though the cake part (especially if chocolate base) is often dry. -- Cookies: Noticeably less impressive, EXCEPT for the Linzer heart. Great flavor and texture in the raspberry and shortbread. -- Coffee: Good stuff. Not elite, but good, in heavy mugs with good feel. Service is a little lacking. Not so much because of rudeness, but because they're perpetually understaffed for the amount of business they do.
