No negatives whatsoever! Five stars, but should be six! A wonderful cuppa Joe that I had about four of! Three over medium, kielbasa, and wheat toast. They asked if I wanted potatoes, and I said no... sign of a great diner is when they listen to you... they did not put any potatoes on the plate. What more can you want?! Very clean, old school feel, comfortable, the staff are all great and friendly, and the prices are spot on. Plenty of parking and easy to get to. Again, no negatives whatsoever! The home fries are mushy, half are burnt to a crisp and some are raw. Not sure what the big deal was. We were the third couple to complain that day alone. The corn beef was putrid. You must like canned foods if you like their corn beef hash. Eggs are super easy to cook and we're over cooked and dry. Chorizo hash barely had chorizo and tasted like tumeric. We came with high hopes due to reviews, but no we know those people who enjoy this place probably eat Spam out the can. Try their home fries and you'll see for yourself. read more

I have been eating at Carl's Oxford Diner for about 10 years now with my sister and her family. I live about 1 1/2 hour away but the drive is definitely worth my stomach getting happy with the food. My favorite is the bacon (whole pound) eggs (3 of them) and potatoes. Usually take some of it home because just can't eat it all. The food quality, quantity, services, and atmosphere is also the greatest. You will never go out of this place hungry and probably would skip your next meal. I can't say enough about this place cause it is awesome and glad my nephew told me about this place. If there was one thing to improve upon it would be to expand the building for more seating. Haven't been here for several years as I moved out of the area. Still the same most amazing breakfast place. You won't leave hungry. Same formula high quality products huge portions awesome friendly service! The special Billy's biscuits and gravy was so awesome grilled biscuits big chunks of sausage in the homemade gravy. My fiancee and I stopped here for breakfast, and were less than impressed. They do give gigantic portions, though the food was average in quality. We both liked the coffee but they should consider serving it in larger mugs, since they don't have the time nor patience to refill it. Our main complaint was the rudeness of our server "Billy". He would just throw our food in front of us, only asking once if we wanted more coffee. I politely asked if they took credit cards; his response was an disgusted "Visa or Mastercard, no other weird s---!"
