Carl's is a really great spot to go to. It's a classic small diner so I would recommend to plan accordingly if you're looking to grab a seat. The servers are very welcoming and kind. The food portions come in a fairly large size and is absolutely delicious. I got the breakfast sandwich and it was so good! If you're in Oxford and looking for a spot to grab a bite, this is the place for you!

Good things happen when you venture past the fast food chains and go a a couple miles in from I-390. Sure, this place isn't brand spanking new but, it is clean and well worth any wait you might have. Make a new friend, sit at the counter, and be prepared for omelets that are as big as the plate. Be sure to bring cash and be nice to the team, they are hustling.

Wow I love Carls. All my friends love carls. When anyone brings up carls the first response is I love carls. The chefs and host were extreme nice. The food was massive. 10/10 experience. Very very good waffle with strawberries and whip cream. Surpassed my expectations. 100% will be back.

Went here after several friends were surprised we have lived in the area for several years and never ate there. We looked them up and heard about the generous portions. My wife and I ordered omelettes. The plates had heaping loads of home fries, omelettes were huge. Coffee was a great diner coffee. Serve staff was excellent. It's a small car of a dinner. Seats at the bar or four table with high bar tables. There's a few reminders that you're in an old train car. Loved it. Has a great hometown vibe. Doors slide open like its heritage as a train car.

Classic American diner in Oxford Mass. HUGE portions that are tasty and hot off the grill which is right in front of you if you sit at the counter. Fast and friendly service. You might need to wait for a table or seat at the counter as this place is tiny. But worth the wait. Ask for a to go box when you order. You are going to need it.

Either way, you want an old coffee shop feel, a great baked good. And doughnuts that bring you back to sitting next to your gramps. Age ten, smiling ear to ear with your chocolate milk listening to him and his friends talk about their new toys. Just after getting done at the range. Yeah... go have a coffee and a doughnut.

I received the quote and brought it to a Camper's meeting for approval. It was overwhelming approved. We wanted to support a local business. The quote was higher than the local donut/coffee chains but everyone agreed that we would support a local business. I went and placed the order on Monday, June 29th. I ordered and paid in full for 10 dozen donuts, 3 dozen muffins, 5 boxes of coffee, in spite of a price increase on June 15th that I was originally unaware of and not informed of. At 4:30 on Monday, after placing and paying for the order I received a call telling me that they needed to charge me a $50 service fee because their bakers charge them an additional fee for large orders. I said that I'd be happy to get a refund and pay less at one of the local chains. Does that even make sense? I explained that I had gone in and asked for a quote on the prices and I had approval of the club to purchase from the even though the prices were higher. Eventually I was told they'd waive the fee. I picked up the order on Saturday. My ordered was stacked up on the front counter, all the boxes, coffee, etc. I took everything that was ready, on the counter and asked three times if I had everything. I was told I did. While there I purchased four holiday decorated donuts and asked for an additional American flag because I have four grandchildren and they would all want a flag. The counter help gave me an attitude and went in the back and asked for a flag. The person who gave it to her made a few comments and gave me a dirty look. I paid the $14.00 for my four donuts and left a generous tip. I got half way back and received a text message and a phone call that part of my order was left behind. I didn't leave it behind, it was not given to me and the person had an attitude when I went in to get the box that was left behind. I asked how did it get left behind, she smirked and said, it was on the back counter. Someone obviously put it there. I was also informed that all the boxes need to be returned. This means I need to drive back, yet again to drop off the boxes. Supporting a local business should be an enjoyable experience. This was not the least bit enjoyable. The donuts, muffins and coffee were good, but the attitude(s) and treatment leave a lot to be desired. As far as I'm concerned we won't be supporting this local business in the future.

I would like to formalize my extreme displeasure at the service (or lack of service to be more…read moreaccurate) regarding my family's New England Pizza at Veranda order placed online through Slice last Monday 12/23/2024. Part of that order was supposed to include a quantity of four/4 of the Chicken Fingers coated in Buffalo Sauce (costing $40.40 plus tax), but when the order arrived, the Chicken Fingers were plain, not coated at all, and only included one very small cup the size of my thumb with some buffalo sauce on the side, not anywhere near enough to coat even one/1 order of Chicken Tenders, nevermind the four/4 that we ordered. When I called New England Pizza to request that they provide the Chicken Fingers coated in Buffalo Sauce as requested, a very rude older-sounding man with an accent answered the phone, who deflected all responsibility to Slice, saying that's how they received the order from Slice, claiming I should call New England Pizza directly to place my order in the future (to bypass Slice). I noted the order was placed on their website (www.newenglandpizzaoxford.com), which makes no reference to Slice (except for a very small reference at the bottom-left of the webpage saying "Empowered by Slice"), that's it's their website for which they should be responsible, regardless of who they have generate/manage the website! That being said, the man I'd been speaking with refused to provide the Chicken Fingers as ordered (only offering me free sauce if I were to drive down there to get it, which I couldn't, and not how delivering an order properly should work), also refused to provide a credit/refund for the items they failed to provide as ordered, and then hung up on me, extremely unprofessional to say the least. I immediately reached out to Slice, and spoke with a representative by the name of Bob, telling him what happened when I called New England Pizza (with them deflecting responsibility to Slice), now asking Slice for a credit/refund for the $40.40 plus tax spent on that part of the order associated with the Chicken Fingers that were not provided as requested from New England Pizza. Bob said he couldn't do anything about what had happened, or provide any credit/refund, but would forward the information to a supervisor to call me back about this, which still hasn't happened to this day. Despite having spent hundreds of dollars with New England Pizza in the past, based on the unprofessional service provided by them, and the failure of Slice to contact me to properly resolve this situation, I feel the need to make this complaint, and note that our family will likely never do business with New England Pizza or Slice ever again. I would leave zero/0 stars if that was an option.
