It has a good variety of vendors for produce, meat, cheese, mushrooms, breads, body products, jewelry and more. There are a variety food vendors where you can get your fill of dim sum, burgers, Laos sausages, and a wonderful coffee vendor. I think you want to get there earlier than noon. The first time we went, it was about 1pm. We strolled up and down the aisle. By 1:30 there seemed to be little produce and a couple of vendors were starting to pick up. The second time we went a bit earlier. It is about a 20 minute bike ride from the Point so it is convenient. We walked around and saw the same vendors so I feel confident they will be there regularly. Great location with views of the marina and bay from the parking lot. There is a no pet sign but it was posted only at one entrance - and not the one we went through. It was warm and I couldn't leave her in the car. Because she was self-contained in her personal buggy, I didn't think it would be an issue. Still, probably best to leave your furbabies at home. The only negative I have is one vendor blasting music from their booth. I enjoy listening to music but it's so loud that I can't have a conversation with the vendor without yelling, so I move on. Quickly. When you get to the water end of the market, you are blessed with sounds of the bay and birds. Now, that's nice. The second time we rode our bikes from home. It's about a 20 minute bike ride from the Point so it is convenient and it was a beautiful morning. As we rolled up, we were greeted by loud music. Again. Sigh. There are a few tables set up at one end with coloring books and games, entertainment for both grownups and kids alike. You can also grab a bite to eat or something to drink, sit down and enjoy the vibes. Pleasant way to enjoy a sunny day by the bay in Richmond.

What is so great about The Richmond Farmers Market in Marina Bay is the space that is being used. The vendors at this market are very kind. You say hi to them and they start a conversation with you. It is a friendly Farmers Market to come to. I love seeing the people that attend the Farmers Markets. I have not seen anybody trying to bring their pets to the market which is not allowed. I do love how people come here on a Sunday Morning checking out the vendors. When I attended this market I only saw one vendor that had fruits/vegetables. Every other vendor were take out food or clothes. I am not disappointed that the market didn't have much produce vendor but it is still a market nobody if you call it a Farmers Market. The reason I come to this one more often is because it's closer to me in the East Bay. They don't have a lot of organic produce and the prices for all the produce is a bit high for what it is. There's a lot of different pastry booths and there's a Semi Freddy's Cafe close by. The Frog Hollow farm has great fruit and pretty good simple pastries. They also offer their fruit preserves on a discount that is much cheaper than in stores or online. Their apricot preserves is one of their best ones and has the least amount of sugar. I come here quite often to get lunch on the weekends. There's also a really nice rotisserie chicken truck that makes amazing rotisserie chicken for about $17 and they also have rotisserie duck and rotisserie pork. They have a lot of roasted vegetables that can come with their rotisserie meat but unfortunately, all their potatoes and vegetables are covered with animal grease so it is not for people watching their cholesterol. It's easy to pick up a whole rotisserie chicken for a lovely Sunday meal and have leftovers for work for a few days. It's better than any rotisserie chicken from the supermarket but will cost about twice as much. However, you get to see them roast your chicken so you know it's very fresh and the skin is crisp.

With a couple food trucks in addition to vendors, I've found this to have the most hot food dining options for those who go to the market to do more than shop. This market also has pretty much anything you'd need for a meal. One note, it is so popular that I've seen a tent and a food truck sell out before they close for the day so you may want to go early. There are a few benches that provide good seating, which can allow for taking this market at a bit of a slower pace than you might others. Only note, it can get extremely congested, as I feel this is one of the most popular markets in the Bay, if you want something more sprawling I'd suggest Old Oakland, but otherwise no complaints. Temescal is soundly in my faves!

The paste is not quite as smooth as other pistachio paste brands; however, it is ground finely enough so that you (barely) don't notice a gritty texture when you use it to make pistachio ice cream. There is just one annoyance: On the front of the jar, it says "341 grams", but you only get 292 grams. That's 14% less. Be sure to ask for a 14% discount when purchasing.

I stopped by this past Thursday and told him that I had chicken tikka masala once and that it was rotten so he apologized and gave me one (from his cooler). I told him that he needs more ice because his food is sitting in the sun. Well, when I hesitantly opened the new container, and smelled it, I almost vomited on the spot. It was spoiled, again. I kept dry heaving as I ran it to my outdoor trash can. It was so bad. I would like a health inspector to check his food. I cannot be the only person who has received spoiled food from that stand 2 times! Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, never a third time.

This is a hidden gem! We stumbled upon it on google and went to explore the farm to possibly pick…read moreapples. When we got there we learnt apple picking was not happening anymore but they have a huge property with alot of vegetables, a walking and tasting tour and a horse!!! First we met Ben, the magical horse who made our day! We got to brush his hair , feed him and just hang out with him. What a unique experience! Note- They host birthday parties there so the horse can play with the kids. Next we met the main farmer who took us on a walking tour of everything they grow. We tried the most unique flowers, herbs, leaves, etc. most memorable were the chocolate mint, fennel, quinine, edible flowers that taste like cucumber. We tasted alot more including their honey which was great! The farmer was funny, engaging and so knowledgeable too! They sell plants and dried herbs and honey along with veggies and other things. We bought a few things and some plants and had a great chat with the kind farm owner. She is just amazing and knew everything about everything on the farm! Highly recommend! Note- They have parking on site and carry cash to buy things!

So just like vegetation in your home garden what's ready and available vary! And nature controls things too, so it's ridiculous to expect they are fully stocked for specific items at all time! Be kind and reasonable! Anyway, we came here late summer last year for the first time and I definitely loved it! Everyone we met who worked there was very informative and friendly! We especially love their honey! Their bees work hard and it paid off! Definitely great especially to fend off allergy (especially if you're local!). The sweet therapy Horse, Ben is adorable, though be careful with his teeth, he is a sweet animal. There is also a cute small dog that sometimes roam around belongs to the sweet lady who works there. On my 2nd visit, I learned that "flowers" can taste like cucumber! No joke! It was fascinating and also rhubarb stalk taste delicious raw, dipped in a bit of honey. We love this little local farm and will definitely come back. A great place to bring kids and teach them to appreciate fresh fruits and veggies directly from the source.

My new favorite is Gigi's One Bite Wonder and it's always more than one bite. I absolutely love their filled-to-order arroz con leche doughnut ($5). It's light and not too sweet perfection. For balance, ferments at Min-Hee Hill Garden offer many varieties and sizes. Do stop by and check them out. Music is always interesting and a joy to experience.
