My SO and I frequent Armistice Brewing Company as it is a close walk from our place. They always have a good selection and rotate their beers so there's always something new to try. They have a food truck outside if you want some food. They also have Mexican food across the street as well that's worth a try. They also have a hard seltzer and a smoothie beer usually on top for those who don't drink beer. Honestly all their IPA's are great and they make delicious hazy IPA's as well. Had a comfortable stay meanwhile Sienna was there but as soon as another host took over named Joyce the whole mood changed. She was rude and saying the kids weren't allowed at the bar area when the place clearly says kid friendly. We felt uncomfortable and decided to close tab, and she continued to show aggression and make sure we knew she was the manager and was nothing we can do about it. Been to many breweries and this is the worst so far just due the management. Update on my review.... I just got kicked out and I'm sure it was due to the review. The manager herself asked us to leave right after the review. When we asked why all she could say was because my kids were running around having fun with no warning whatsoever that they were being disruptive, how coincidental. read more

Ambiance is a plus but service is so so. I walked in and was greeted by the bartender and he gave me his recommendations and they were good. Shifts changes and the other bartenders arrived. Not once since their shift started they asked if I would like another beer but we're serving and asking everyone else at the bar and they pour themselves beers to cheers with each other. My wife and I have visited Armistice Brewing Company a handful of times over the years. Each time that we've gone, we've been able to find beers off the menu that we enjoyed. While their menu generally leans pretty heavily into IPAs, on our most recent visit, they had a fairly well-rounded set of beers available on-tap, including an Imperial POG hard seltzer, a raspberry smoothie sour, and a CoCo Crisp light ale. The only beer style obviously missing from the menu, that I would have really loved to see, would have been a stout or a porter -- even if it were a guest tap from another brewery. I tried two Hazy IPAs last night -- the Salad Bar and Meat Parade, and I really enjoyed the intense flavor of the Citra hops and the thick mouth-feel of the beer. Armistice definitely knows how to make a great hazy IPA. Outside of their beers, it's worth mentioning that Armistice don't serve hot food: only small bags of chips are available for purchase at the bar. There may be a food schedule posted somewhere that I missed, but on our visit, there was a "Curbside Kitchen" food truck parked right outside, offering Filipino-inspired items. I can't say for sure if this truck is always here, or if there are other food trucks that the brewery cycles through. Overall, if you're looking for a place to hang out over beers, Armistice is a great spot in this part of Richmond. The brewery is dog friendly and there's no shortage of seating both indoors and outdoors on their patio. Definitely would recommend stopping by. read more

I've been meaning to give Armistice their much deserved major props! Great hidden gem in Richmond Marina with chill folks that serve some innovative brews, a cool social scene with karaoke, trivia, movies, etc., and ample indoor and outdoor space. I had my baby shower here last year and shoutout to Josie and her team for making the event planning process smooth and efficient. We were able to rent out some of the inside and front outdoor space, bring our own food/decor, purchased some drink tix and it turned out to be a blast! Highly recommend having your next event here. Plus, they have a food truck (Curbside Kitchen) posted outside that sells some tasty Filipino fusion grub. Armistice is my fave East Bay brewery, and leme tell you why. They're dog, queer, and family friendly (they always give treats to my dog, and now my dog knows to go behind the bar to beg for some yummies). Plus they have strong wifi, clean restrooms, and indoor PLUS outdoor seating. I love that their space is huge, great for big groups, and there's always seating. Lots of parking spots too as they're kind of located in a commercial plaza with other random stores/offices. They're cool with BYO food, and they often have food trucks especially on weekends. They also host a bunch of awesome events, like you never know what's happening until you get there. One time I paid a visit and they had queer wrestling, it was dope. All of the taptenders are friendly, welcoming, and so knowledgeable. I've been here twice already, and surprisingly my faves are their delicious IPA's and sours. Most recently I had Ipina (delicious pina colada DIPA) and Flannel Island (smoothie sour collab with Great Notion). I love that they offer flights so you can get your tasting dreams satisfied. Unique beers and great pours. Keep it up, brew team. You know when yo uwalk into Armistice, you'll have a safe and delicious time. Their tap menu is always changing, and it NEVER gets boring. They're not pretentious but they know what they're doing in the tap room. Go get you some Armistice brews, and if you're loving it, scope out their fridge and take some cans home. read more

I've tried many times to like their beer. The location is walkable from the cribbage. They have great indoor and outdoor seating. The staff, is pretty chilled and helpful. Even a food truck perpetually parked out front. They have these Thai roasted peanuts that r to die for. If you like Belgian style beers great! I'm a Pilsner dude, aka Bo, (east Brothers) Stella ( as in Artois) Amstel, Pilsner Urquell, Heineken, Trumer. Even their light beers are too bitter and most others too hoppy and or bitter. The fact they create an endless list of limited edition and specialty beers, is really cool, creative, and Fun. But that's all lost on me. Beer for me is definitely social, but if you can barely down one; nursing it as if it ages in the glass is somehow going to change its bitter bite, or the alcohol will dull the sharpness of your palate. Yeah who goes to a brewery and has 1 beer??? It is essentially the local marina bay social spot. All my neighbors go there, and that's a lot considering the neighborhood continues to grow and flourish with new housing etc. I really want to love this place. Family Therapy is now one of my all-time faves and for the dark beer line-up Frunkel Uncle, Dunkel Uncle -- I'll have to check the site-- it was excellent. I think we'd be there a few times a week if we lived in the area. We sat outdoors in the late afternoon, this is the time of year when it's a little chilly at that time. The sense of community and the real artistic flair the owners have is apparent from the location. Don't miss the secret room upstairs! Whenever I'm in the area, I like to stop and have a brew at this brewery. If you haven't been here for a while, you will be surprised. They've expanded quite a bit. They took over a few other units in the center, so it's now a long busness. They've added tons of tables of course. Additionally, they have a big outside area with lots of picnic tables as well as other places to sit. They also have outside heaters for those chilly nights. I discovered to my pleasant surprise that Mondays are $5 beer day. So my Kolsch today was only five bucks. Hard to beat that. I wish the bar counter was longer. It just has room for a few stools. They provide a clear, laminated brew menu right at the bar counter. I found it to be quite helpful. There is a chalkboard showing the "Buy a friend a pint" gifts. Feel free to buy me a pint. I'll be your best friend if you do. I've always had a good experience here. Definitely one of my favorite breweries in the East Bay. Plus, just nice people. Cute little local brew co. Everyone there is always really nice. They have a food truck outside the brewery so you can get some food while your there. Nice dog friendly outdoor patio with a fire pit. Service is really good. Staff is very friendly. I really like their seltzer beer that they have. All of their beers are on draft which is cool and they brew everything themselves obvi. There's so many little gems in Richmond that we don't know about and this is one of them. We don't know much about beers so it was cool to get a flight and try some. My girlfriend was asking me if I like IPA's and I was clueless, I didn't know. I like beer but if I'm at a party I just normally grab a beer from a cooler and just drink it. I love sweet drinks so I figured I'd love the Ipiña or Violet Swirl. Surprisingly, I loved the Richmondish beer, an IPA. To me the other sweet beers were good and had a light sweet taste but I loved the one with a kick in it. It's awesome you can actually take beer home with you. It's a cool casual vibe here. There's board games at the counter of you choose to play some with your friends. There's a nice outdoor area with a fire pit, just ask for it to be lit up. Everyone was friendly here. Great place to pass through. Beer is decent m, staff is as good as you can expect for Richmond. They claim to be allies but it's just not true. They are for them dollars. I used to be a regular but on a karaoke night I was there with my husband per the norm. Another patron brought friends from Alaska, cool right? Nope I literally touched my husbands leg during a song and they gave me and him the stank eye. I brought it up to Evee and be other other attendants there. They said I was drunk and cut me off. Whelp now you get to deal with a 1 star review. I wasn't drunk. I wasn't being emotional. I wasn't being irrational. I was voicing my concerns with that being a space to be free and not feel judged. This is one of the more standout breweries in the East Bay area. Stopped by this trip to stock up on some styles I just can't get in the middle of the country, specifically their Raspberry Coulis. My whole trip out west was worth it just being able hit them up on the release weekend. They usually have several styles available and I can't say I've ever had a bad beer from here. Plenty seating inside and out when it's allowed. This place located in Richmond not far from the highway. They usually seem to have the Russian Soul Food foodtruck out front with their excellent grub so if you're looking for a great place to spend an evening drinking excellent beers then Armistice Brewing is the spot. read more
