I have been using Bristol and Taylor for four years now when I moved to the area. I took a chance on them not knowing anything about their history serving the Bensalem area. My first service was a basic oil change on my dad's old car.They did a great job and spent time explaining in detail what they did. They were prompt and very reasonable.Since that oil change I continue to use Bristol and Taylor for all of my car needs.These guys Steve and Pete are honest and reliable, and I would not trust my car with any other auto repair facility. A close friend from work suggested I go to Bristol & Taylor to have my vehicle inspected, based on his assumption that they were "fair and honest, and provide excellent mechanical service." I was up until today a fervent and dedicated consumer with my local Toyota Dealership. I found the staff, (Michelle, Steve and especially Pete, along with the unknown mechanic who performed my vehicle state inspection), to be above board as far as friendliness. Very courteous, engaging and informative!! In my loyal eleven years at the dealership in Bensalem, I had never had such an experience. Everyone was friendly including other customers. On my way to work, my 2009 Ford Escape lost power and the check engine light came on. I spoke with Steve and he asked me a few questions to identify the cause of the failure. After diagnosing the situation, he called and informed me the water pump seized up and failed. He was very clear on what was wrong and how to correct the issue. Steve promised me the vehicle would be finished by the end of the day. I received his call at 3:45 PM and said the vehicle is tested and ready for pick up. The shop did an incredible job completing the service thus preventing me to rent a vehicle for travel. I am very grateful for the level of attention and service Steve and his team provided. The Fuhrs provided quick, excellent feedback to my level of understanding. Their concern as I looked to buy a used car was to tell me the exact condition of the vehicle. No beating around the bush with these guys. Great, responsive customer service. Definitely a family business environment but they get the job done and care about giving real value. Steve helped point out a potentially disastrous purchase of a vehicle that the dealership said had no defects. He explained the situation clearly and picked up the phone multiple times later that day to answer my questions as I further investigated at the dealership.
