Receptionist was rude, on phone, very non-helpful, all visits. My uncle was a resident there, keyword was. He was admitted to the hospital with CHF while residing at Silver Creek Manor. My uncles doctor at the hospital was told by Silver Creek Staff that my uncle was simply "just was not given" medicine that regulates excess fluids. Which in turn, would explain the CHF that landed him in the hospital. I was on a mission to find out time / date he received it. The first nurse I spoke to was absolutely useless. In asking for a recent med list, the nurse was clearly confused as to what I was inquired for. I spun around in circles with him and I got absolutely no where. It was 4 o'clock when I had called & when I asked for the director, she was gone for the day. So was the unit manager. I left them both voicemails The next day I called throughout the day, being told my message would be passed along that I would appreciate a call back. I left a voicemail for the director and unit manager .... again. The middle of the third day, i still hadn't received a phone call back. Nor had my father who was also calling and leaving voicemail after voicemail each day. Finally i settled to speaking to the nurse, Patti, who couldn't tell me anything at all because "i wasn't listed as a contact". after arguing back and fourth that i am in fact a contact, she said she was going to get the unit manager, Cindy. I waited and waited only for Patti to pick the phone up again, and told me that I couldn't talk to Cindy because I was not a contact. Five days passed, (more than enough time for documents to be forged) and finally, once my dad was able to get a hold of someone, they were able to confirm I was in fact a contact all along. We were told he was given all of his medicine and no one knew why the doctor would have been told that the nursing home simply did not give him meds. He was denied his right to be outside when the 4th came. A 94 year old man has seen this parade for 50+ years. He has been so overwhelming proud of and dedicated to this country. Granted, as a family we should have put more thought into this. silver creek had a tent set up with chairs right on the parade route. when we asked if he can be brought out, the nursing home told us 1) there's no room 2) we don't have a wheelchair for him. throughout that whole 4 hour parade, he didn't get to go out for one minute. never, ever will i recommend this place, i wish i had the option to give no stars.

I considered just walking away from the extremely disappointing experience I had with Mark Alano,…read morebut decided I had to speak up to protect others with upper cervical UC issues. Please read his website essay about himself starting with "nestled in the charming seaside town... "If you are one of those patients "from bustling Boston or quiet corners of NH ", or the Maine lobsterman or Wall Street executive needing "top-notch care tailored to your unique needs", I suggest that you save yourself the time and trouble of the trip. You will get 7.5 minutes per session. Yes, I have it in writing. And if you bring in a half sheet of paper with three questions on it, you will be scolded. No time for questions. Not even: What are you doing for me today and how is it going? He says that's doubting him. Then he will use up most of your limited time talking about himself or doing a rant on Dr. Fauci. The next patient comes down right after you do and sits outside the door watching and hearing you. This is as unsettling as it is a blatant HIPAA violation. The worst part is I checked his entire testimonial of himself because I had sensed that something was off when I saw him with a toddler. He is listed as a pediatric and extremities chiropractor. So his practice is kids and anything non-spine like wrists, knees, and shoulders. I figured someone like him would brag about UC credentials if he had them. When confronted, he reluctantly admitted to me that he is not a UC Chiropractor as getting certified was too hard. But he claims he is one. It's all over his website. Quite unethical and potentially harmful to the patient. This should not be allowed. As for me: Long drive, visit of mere minutes, no meaningful adjustment, no dialogue, no kindness, no expertise in evidence. I cut my losses and sadly looked elsewhere for help. I would venture a guess that he did not answer my simple questions because he did not know the answers. Stay away if you have a serious problem with your neck. There is no upper cervical help here. He wasted my time getting pain relief from a serious neck misalignment. After reading his reply, I must say I stand 100% by what I wrote. He is very taken with himself. The three rants he angrily did on Dr. Fauci bothered me and I told him that. No joke there. But I'm not going to pick The reply apart piece by piece, but it is quite inaccurate. However, I followed my conscience and You have been warned. I did notice that there is another post below mine from Pete P of Bristol that you might want to read.

Excellent man and chiropractor. Dr. Alano truly cares about his patients and is an absolute expert.read more

When on the journey to find services and supplies that invest in your health and wellbeing, the…read morepaths may be unexpected, out of the ordinary, or uniquely different than what you thought you would find. One of those paths brought us to Sacred Path Reiki. I believe in self-care. I'm biased because I'm a psychotherapist, but it doesn't change the fact that if you don't focus on restoring yourself, you'll be no good for you or anyone you're trying to support or love or care for. What's the saying..."one cannot pour out of an empty cup" ? So a neighbor recommended we try Sacred Path, and boy was it amazing. When we got there, I was unsure if we were at the right place. I got the address from their facebook account, but it took me to the Green Grocer parking lot. There were other businesses but no obvious signage to tell us if we were there or not. Finally we opened enough doors that we found Jamie. We booked online, we took advantage of the 40% off discount for new clients, and said lets each do a one hour session. The location is simple, but the room she practices in is well-appointed, and very relaxing. Jamie has a way about her that is instantly calming, and I knew we would be in capable hands. She began by giving us a little bit of information about energy work and what could be expected from the process. Hubby went first, and he emerged looking very well rested and relaxed. I went next and all I can say is wow! I'm not sure what she did exactly, but I felt very much at peace following our session. Jamie gives the option of hands on or hands off, and the session includes aromatherapy, calming music, and cool temperature; all which add to the experience. I wasn't sure how we would feel afterwards, like after a massage you need to drink a lot of water, or after psychotherapy you might feel some unresolved stuff come up after. We both remarked that we felt great, and would like to return...perhaps to a shorter session next time like a booster 30 minutes or so. My neighbor who referred us also told us that Jamie does reiki for animals, and it really helped her dogs, which is awesome. Prices are comparable to a session of massage or mental health counseling, without the invasive nature of either. Regardless of if its placebo or not, Reiki with Jamie is something that I'm definitely going to be returning to, for its relaxing outcome. Worth the time and money, in my opinion!

Jamie has a true gift, her passion for healing through reiki makes for an incredible experience. I…read morehighly recommended booking a session with Sacred Path.

But staff morale is worn down & they are physically & mentally exhausted. Doing the work of 3 with only 2 aides almost everyday. One person in administration should have their job reevaluate. I cannot believe the advice she has given other members of the family & I just finished a phone call where they suggested my mother was probably making it up bc "no one on staff reported her fall today. I checked the log myself." I had to correct them that it had actually happened yesterday. And no staff was their to help her. It was further explained to me that because she has memory problems, I shouldn't listen if she complains!! I wonder if there are other patient complaints being unheard based on that administrators advice?

The staff was very welcoming, friendly, caring, accessible and attentive to my medical needs. They were in constant communication with my family; providing updates on my care, milestones and goals. The facility was immaculate, the food was good and the environment was very pleasant. The Administrator was always visible in the hallways, engaging with the residence and staff. The experience was much nicer than I could have ever imagined. It truly takes a village! God bless and thank you all again!
