The owner of this little shop has really ticked all the boxes for providing an enjoyable dining experience. From the meticulously decorated dining room, to the scrumptious pastries, you can feel the heart and soul she has poured into it to bring her dream to reality. And for this little backwoods town to have something like this, is a treat indeed! It's so difficult to get a successful business up and running here in the Mountains. But I guess she takes after her mom in tenacity, because she is off to a good start. The pastries have the taste and texture of true French baking. She has either watched a lot of of the Great Brtish Baking show or she's done her homework when it comes to technique. And we can't quite figure out what she's done to create such a spectacular doughnut. It's not a cake donut and it's not a raised donut. It's somewhere in between and three times as tasty. If she can just keep this pace going and keep up with demand as it increases (and it will) she will be a true success. I highly recommend that you try this little patisserie. I am looking forward to going back for some French Onion soup and a baguette sandwich. And, if you are a coffee snob like I am, you can get a strong fresh steamed cappuccino, to go with your sweet treat.
