I am a frequent business traveler and ended up at this hotel - and not a national chain - as I was trying to manage my expenses. While the hotel is not at all glamorous - any illusion of it being cost effective disappeared when I was told that there was a soiled towel in my room that the hotel 'had to throw out' and I was charged an additional $100! To be clear, there was a facecloth that was dirty - NOTHING that a simple washing in any kind of laundry would not restore it to its former 'glory'. Frankly, the towels and linens in this hotel are of poor quality - and one should be able to outfit the entire floor for $100. While I fully intend to fit this specious charge - it is a hassle and something I would not need to do at any reputable hotel. NEVER again! read more

I Stayed at the Bristol for a month for business. I was very pleased with my first impression. The hotel has character not like the new modern sterile hotels, more like a bed & breakfast - modern victorian. The room was spacious and inviting. The bathroom was huge and had a separate private toilet. The free breakfast buffet was nicely arranged and had plenty of options - defiantly a bonus. They also have a first-come-fist-serve computer for there guest. I am happy to say they did not charge for log-on time like other establishments do. They have free WiFi but as I do not have a laptop this made my stay less stressful. The staff was very accommodating and personable. Extra thanks to Nicolette who made my work days more tolerable with her kind helpful demeanor. I would absolutely stay here again. read more

The hotel has a certain theme about its decor, which is kind of neat (if not a little creepy with all those old paintings where it feels like the eyes follow you). However, my room was in a pretty run-down state. The door latch to the bathroom was almost completely broken, ready to fall off the next time somebody tried to lock the bathroom. The bed was the worst part. It sagged deep in the middle, and that made it pretty difficult to get a good night's sleep in. The blankets on the lopsided bed were also rather tacky and uncomfortable. I'm sure there are better hotels in Campbell. But, your mileage may vary (my wife didn't mind the bed at all). The Wifi is free, there's free coffee 24/7, and complimentary breakfast in the mornings. read more

This hotel is very basic. There is only ONE staff if you check in anytime after 5pm and the lady was nice and all but she is not too bright when it comes to the basic information that I was asking about. They do not have anyone to help me with my luggage and no in-room service. They actually have a 3rd party hospitality service that is over priced and takes over an hour to get your food delivered to your room. The room is definitely dilapidated, I placed a water bottle on top of a side table and it almost toppled. The statues and paintings are very eerie but its ok. Stained carpet and the TV and air conditioner are very old. Breakfast is bland as expected. GO TO ANOTHER HOTEL. I could not cancel my reservation since they will charge my account for the night's stay that's the only way why I kept my reservation. Poor Hospitality. YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN without service when you stay here. Did I mention the rough towels?!! THIS HOTEL IS IN NEED FOR A MAJOR RENOVATION. Stayed in a suite for a night. My expectations weren't high after reading mixed reviews and getting a fantastic room rate from Hotels.com. I got it after searching AirBnB first and not finding any good options for the date and rate. Staff: The hotel was under-staffed, but they were very responsive and extremely helpful and nice. Deco: Although all the art and sculptures are cheap knock-offs, they actually pull off making the halls really nice, bright, and enjoyable. Room: Spacious and nice. A few lights didn't work, but there were plenty. Bathtub plug didn't work, but we used our tried-and-true method of a washcloth under the drinking glass with a little weight on top. Nothing we couldn't work around and haven't experienced in other hotels. Food: Breakfast was great, although the selection grew slim quick. Get there when breakfast starts to enjoy all of the items. Area: Eh. Not great. Not scary. We didn't tour much and simply drove in from the South-East end of San Jose from Monterey/Carmel and drove out to Santa Cruz. Bed: Comfy. Pillows were okay. Wi-fi: Fast. *WARNING: Most bad reviews seem to be the regular rooms, which I didn't experience. So, maybe the suite is different, maybe experience varies. This past Saturday we stayed at this hotel because it was referred to us on Hotel.com. This was not the best experience we have had for the price that we paid which was with tax $139.00 for the night. First, the free wifi is not very good and I finally figured out why it was free- Whoever was holding the wires got tired and dropped them. The internet was spotty at best. The King Size bed was horrible and had no support. When my wife got into the bed I had to call San Jose Search & Rescue because she disappeared. Literally there was no support. Now the full breakfast buffet they advertise is not very good at all. The kitchen staff only cooked the minimum and when you asked for more they did not break any records attempting to get food out. Over-all not a very good place to stay at and I would not recommend this hotel. read more

Good stay for the price, although a bit out of the way perhaps. If you're heading to that part of town though, it's not a bad location. Keeping this short - the bed was really comfortable, the breakfast was not a restaurant but way better than a "continental" you'll receive other places, and the hallways were entertaining with their design and artwork, in addition to the offset nature of them which breaks up the long hallways which might remind you of every other hotel you've stayed in. ;) Bottom line, I like that this hotel is just above the standard so-so bed, uninspiring breakfast and the not so boring standard hotel layout (is that worth money? probably not.). Okay, first of all, we booked 2 rooms at this hotel via a travel website, and nowhere in the process did it mention anything about the hotel requiring a $150 deposit upon check-in, and the girl at the front desk was very pushy toward us when we had to transfer funds from one bank account to another in order to cover said deposit. The room my friend and her boyfriend stayed in was okay, except for there being cobwebs in the chandelier and no light bulb in one fixture. The room my boyfriend and I were in, however, was a different story. First of all, the door to our room did not close completely on it's own, even though it sounded like it had. You had to pull REALLY hard to get it to close all the way. The rest of it I will just list here instead of going into detail, because I don't want this review to get too terribly long: - The decorative braid on a lamp in the entryway of our room was noticeably falling off. - The tv remote did not operate the tv. - The tv did not get reception on any channels. - The phone on the bedside table did not work. - A lamp in the room had a broken fixture in it. It leaned to the side, getting precariously close to the lampshade. - There was a large stain on the bedspread that looked like blood, and the bedsheets were on inside out. - There were beer bottle caps and other garbage in our room, and NOT in the trash can. Finally, we delayed our departure to wait for the manager to come in, but he or she never arrived. The girl at the front desk said, "Well, she doesn't have a set schedule for when she comes in. I mean, she's the manager." What kind of manager doesn't come and manage their property on some sort of predictable and regular (if not daily) basis? And what kind of hotel doesn't have a manager on the premises at least from 9-5? If you can stay pretty much ANYWHERE that isn't here, I'd suggest it. read more

I really like this boutique hotel. For about the same price as the local Motel 6, you get a clean, convenient, and eclectically designed hotel with a passing feel of European pensions (even comes with a really big oil painting of Helmut Kohl in the breakfast room). Rooms are big, quiet, clean, neutral smells, and also decorated in that same style. Cokes are $1 from the vending machine (yes, I drink Coke Zero, so shoot me), staff is very friendly and helpful. I've put up my senior parents here for the last 10 years when they visit and they always look forward to it. We stayed at this hotel because it was only 10 minutes away from our destination, the Winchester Mystery House. A great find for us! In all honesty, I wasn't too sure about this place, but once we arrived I have to say that I was very pleased. Check in at this hotel is at 3pm and we arrived at around 1pm. I thought I would take a chance by entering the lobby and asking if it was possible to get our room early. When I entered the lobby it was beautifully decorated and I immediately felt welcomed. There was a young lady behind the desk who warmly greeted me and asked how she could help me. I explained that we had reservations and was wondering if she could get us into our room before the 3pm check in time. She said that we were in luck and that there was a room available. That was music to my ears since we had been on the road for the last 6 1/2 hours. She checked us in and we were set. Upon entering the room I checked out the bathroom to ensure that it was nice and clean. This is always the first thing that I do upon entering a hotel. Everything was perfectly clean as well as updated. There wasn't a hair dryer in the bathroom and I contacted the front desk and the front desk reception had a hair dryer sent to our room immediately. There was a single complementary robe hanging in the closet. I thought it was odd that there was only one, but I didn't feel the need to make a big deal out of this. Other hotels usually provide two robes. The room was modern and included a microwave and fridge. There was two bottles of cold water in the fridge. We didn't drink them because I didn't know if they were complementary or not. Besides that, we had our own water. The only thing that wasn't appealing was the concrete wall view outside of the window. No big deal as this could not be helped. The bed was a bit too soft for my liking and the pillows were horrible! They use the tiny /half sized pillows instead a full size pillow. Not sure why some hotels are using the smaller pillows now a days. I would suggest that you bring yoru own pillow if possible. The free breakfast was great compared to other hotels. The breakfast room is located on the 2nd floor. Breakfast is buffet style and there is both hot and cold foods to select from. Cereals, oatmeal, bacon, sausage, potatoes (tater tots) two styles of eggs (Sunnyside up and scrambled) pancakes, fruit and a variety of breads/bagels. They even have a toaster set up so that you can toast your own bread. There was coffee, orange juice, milk and cranberry juice to drink. As far as local restaurants go there wasn't anything to rave about near the hotel. There was a few fast food joints around the corner. You can request a list of local restaurants from the front desk. After visiting the Winchester Mystery House the following day, I realized that there was bigger restaurant chains in that area. Again, this was approx 10 minutes away from the hotel. If you are looking for a place to stay with a swimming pool this is NOT the place for you. There is no swimming pool located on this property. Hotels in this area are very expensive. Booked this through Hotels.com as it looked unique and on the reasonable side by comparison. The decor leaned Roman with statues and Artistry with painting everywhere. Also, the hallways seem to go every different direction. Not bad just a little difficult to find my room, the first (and 2nd time). The breakfast was nice. My biggest criteria is always cleanliness and this place was great. Only one complaint and that was, I couldn't get internet in my room. The new manager said they were analyzing where they needed their routers/boosters. read more

This happen at the beginning of 2018. My email to the hotel which i never heard back. I don't know where or who do send this to. First, I was really bothered by your customer service. When I arrived to check in this older Filipino man take a while to come out and help me. It sounded like he was watching TV in the back. Then he proceed to check in me stating that I was there for some hair clinic. I found that to be very offensive because I do have some hair loss but i wasn't there for this "hair clinic." Even after I told him I was not there for a "hair clinic" he keep insisting that I was. His reason was because it said in the system. I don't care if the system said it or bbut if I was there truly for a hair clinic I wouldn't like your front desk share such personal Information where every could have heard. Then I ask the guy what time is checkout he says 11am and I told him the email confirmation says 12pm. He kept being rude and rising his voice said it's 11am. So when I tried to ask for a 1hour late checkout he said you have until 12pm that is it. Being that I was super tired I just went to bed. The next morning I went to the front desk again to try to see why checkout was at 11am when the confirmation email said 12pm. The manager comes out, an older white gentleman, dressed very unprofessional with T-shirt and shorts. He also took a while because it sounded like he was watching tv. Nevertheless, I ask him what time checkout is because I did believe the first guy that checked me in. The manager states that checkout is at 12pm. So when I ask him for the 1 hour checkout before I could even finish my question he replied, " he checkout is at 12pm you have to be out by 12pm we are booked" he was so rude. That's not how you treat your customers/guest. If check-in starts at 3pm and I checkout at 1pm I'm sure you can manage to get the room clean between those 2 hours. Anyhow, finally after arguing with the manager I ask for his general managers number, Victor, I get it and no answer gave me a busy tone. By this time I was so frustrated that as a customer and guest of your establishment I was treated very bad. I've traveled so much for work and this is the first time I have encountered this type of customer service. It is rude and honestly very unprofessional. Like I was going to say finally the manager an hour later asked what time I wanted to check out at I said 1 pm. He said okay that is fine I will put it in the system. I wanted to share this experience with you because it was a horrible one. I would not go back to your hotel again at least not this one. By the way, I think you should send those people to training where they can learn some customer service because that is not how you treat your customers/guest. read more

Very expensive hotel for it's size. Over $100 to stay there per night and its not even close to anything historical. Management sucks and the house keepers steal from the guests or dont reamaber where they left items found.....weird huh. I had an uncle stay here for a couple of days. What a wonderful Hotel. The art and furniture are just beautiful. The statues and art work are beautiful and just made me feel immersed in something regal and inviting. The desk staff were all so welcoming and polite. Rooms are very spacious, beds very comfortable, WiFi good and free water appreciated. This hotel was a delight to stay in. It was very decent, comfortable, and spacious. We booked a double bed during the weekday for a graduation from SJSU. Good location and ample parking for customers. The room was quiet , never had problems with loud noise and it was a place where you could bring guests to hang out. We were only able to catch breakfast one day out of our stay but definitely don't skip out on the eggs and pancakes! Coffee is available 24/7 in the lounge room, or Berlin room, which happened to be next door to us. There's coffee available in the room as well but only two small individual packets. What can I say?! I will definitely stay here again! It was super "cozy" and my family loved the interior design! read more

So my fiance and I decided get away for a few days, but didn't want to go to far so we could still do our normal routine during the week. So, I did what I normally do, I researched the heck out of the areas close by and weighed my options on convience. So... Let me tell you why I chose Bristol Hotel instead of let's say Residence Inn which is only but a block or so away. Given the area I'd say this hotel gives a lot of bang for the buck. Believe me, I checked. Both the rooms and the bathroom are very generous in size. The beds are soooo comfortable, and to top it all off, the decor and theme is European, even their breakfast is European style meaning that they serve pancakes, eggs, bacon, potatoes..... on top of your standard contental breakfast that every hotel out there serves. YUMMY RIGHT! They also have happy hour Tues-Thurs, that includes live music and wine for all you wine lovers. The Pianist, Rich is a nice guy to talk to as well, so don't hesitate to request a song or anything. I'm not really into wine or anything, but the music was very nice and the setting was peaceful. The place is like any other hotel, it still has a few kinks to work out, for example they don't have microwaves in the rooms, though if you need to warm something up, don't hesitate to ask the person at the front desk, they are so nice, they don't mind it because they know the lack of microwave is a little inconvenient for you overnight stayers. They also have a good fitness center that is great for cardio, I only lasted thirty minutes. Overall, a great place to stay when you're in town, they are close to a lot of restaurants, minutes from Valley Fair and Santa Row and the Winchester Mystery House. Imax Movie theaters are pretty close too. So overall, it is a great place if you just want to get away, the place is soooo quite, especially if you are like me and have a ton of people living in your ity bity apartment. Somedays you just need to get away if only for a day or two or three... even if it's just a half an hour away. read more

If you decide to stay at this hotel, check your credit card statement when you get home. Here's what happened to us. Leaving aside the shabby, tasteless decor and truly bad statuary all over the place, our room was not up to par in so many ways. There were numerous large stains on the carpet, musty, yard-sale quality furniture in need of repair and lights that didn't work. The bedding was nasty and smelly, there was trash on the ground outside the window and the bathroom, while spacious, was not very clean. It looked like someone had just wiped it down with a dry paper towel. But the thing to beware of is your credit card bill when you get home. Disclaimer: Never stayed there, but this is about the experience trying to book a room. My mom made the calls, but she's not on the Yelp train yet so I'm posting. My mom called to try and book two double rooms on a Thursday night and referenced the Yelp offer for $99 a weeknight or $79 on weekends. The woman on the phone said she didn't know where she got the information about $99 rooms and that it wasn't a valid offer. My mom told her that it was on the Yelp website and the woman kept grilling her really aggressively about where she got this idea. The woman went on Yelp on her own computer and saw the offer. She went to talk to someone in the office, came back, and said that they wouldn't honor the offer. This kind of behavior is not only exceptionally rude to potential customers, but compromises the integrity of Yelp offers. I have no idea how good or bad the accommodations are, but based on the experience of trying to make a reservation, I'll never be checking it out for myself. read more

My wife just had her worst hotel customer service experience with this hotel - worst in a 50+ lifetime, that is. After staying there for 4 nights, and accidentally leaving some possessions in the room that she was hoping (and expecting) to get back, she was dealt with unhelpfully at first and then outright abusively by one of their employees (Effie). Left on hold for 10 minutes, then put on hold multiple times, and then even rudely hung up on. Very helpful if you are out of town and have no way to return... I heard both sides of the conversation and my wife wasn't even allowed to finish sentences. Holy cow - never in my 50+ year lifetime, either, have I witnessed such horrible customer service - it was unbelievable and completely senseless. This has long been our favorite choice for multi-day stays in the area due to its combination of price and location, and to the niceness of some of the other/prior employees, but this over-the-top horrible experience flipped us: Never again we will stay there, and we would also strongly advise any/all others to look elsewhere for accommodations. Apparently customer service has recently been crossed off the list of things that matter there. read more

We stayed here for one night before we flew out in Thursday. I chose this hotel because of their pictures online and price. Upon arrival at 3 pm we were amazed at the fancy Victorian decor. The staff was friendly and the check in easy. We carried our luggage to the room only to find that it wasn't cleaned! We toted the luggage back to the front desk and informed them of the situation. We were given another room and off we went again. Thankfully the second room was clean. The room was very large with a small dining table and sitting chair. The chair was old and it's cushions worn thin making it uncomfortable. The king bed appeared to be cozy but upon lying on it we found the mattress extremely old and too soft. So soft that when we both laid in it were almost rolled into the middle! The air conditioner made a clanking sound when turning on and off. The carpet was a medium shag, green in color, and also show signs of wear with multiple stains. The walls were not super thin but every time a door opened or closed in the hallway it could be heard easily making sleep difficult. This hotel is in need of upkeep, new furniture, and mattresses. The decor can only help so much. The Victorian style is wonderful but if basics like a nice mattress is missing then they serve little purpose. read more

My business partner and I spent the night of December 10 at the Bristol Hotel. Prior to our arrival, a one night reservation was made for a "Deluxe 2 Beds Accessible room. When we arrived in the room we found the room had one king bed. The desk attendant insisted the booking was for a 'king, non-smoking room'. When he brought a roller bed to the room and I showed him a printed copy of the reservation, he told me "You can speak to the manager in the morning". Plus, the roller bed mattress was exceptionally thin, soft and uncomfortable, even by typical roller bed standards. It's time for a replacement mattress and it's time for a new night desk clerk. A cordial email bringing this lapse to the attention of the hotel was sent the morning of December 13. As of today, there has been no reply. read more

We had a LOT of problems with this place in the few nights we stayed. First of all, the decor was so off-putting. It was like trying to be ultra-elegant and regal in a place that just wasn't. It was over the top and weird. There were paintings of creepy looking people staring down at you everywhere and the statues were super weird too. Second, the bed was just the worst. The mattress was hard, the ONE pillow was like something you'd buy at the dollar store, and the sheets were like sandpaper. Speaking of sandpaper, the towels felt like it as well. Thanks but I don't think I need my towels to give me any extra exfoliation. Third, the freaking key to our room didn't work the entire time we were there so we had to be let in every time we returned. Everyone acted like they were going to get so-and-so to fix it ASAP and it never happened. Multiple people said that they themselves could fix it and never did or for some reason could not. It was just a really weird situation. At one point a woman told us she could make us a master key. Uhm. What? You're going to make and give guests a master key? Well, that makes me feel comfortable about sleeping here and leaving my belongings here during the day. We ended up taking our laptops with us everywhere, which was extremely annoying and inconvenient but it made us feel better than leaving them there. The breakfast was meh. It wasn't terrible, it was basically just a hotel breakfast, so I don't expect much anywhere really. Although I've definitely had better. The staff was pretty friendly but oh my god, get it together! It seemed extremely understaffed and everyone seemed super frazzled. read more

Are you tired of the same old business class hotels to stay in? Have someone lead you into this hotel with your eyes closed, then imagine you are in hotel in Vienna or Versailles or ? and open your eyes! Wallah, you have been transported to a place with mix of European decor with statues, glass chandeliers, and noble paintings. This morning in the breakfast room, I felt like I had been transported to a hotel I stayed in Wien (Vienna). I wanted to say "Guten Morgen" everyone having breakfast! The thing that made me realize I was not in Wien was a huge painting of "Mr. Germany". After I ate a lovely breakfast with fresh scrambled eggs, perfectly cooked bacon, fresh sliced melon and coffee, I wandered out the room where my attention was drawn to a huge canvas of Queen Elizabeth II! Then there are the not so modest Italian Greek type statues of men and women! The only thing missing was Gargoyles and Cherubs! Maybe I missed them? It certainly was stimulating to eye and mind from start to departure! The hotel front desk were welcoming, extremely polite and accommodating throughout my stay. Yes even they had a European demeanor that went with the charm of this place. One thing you do not see in hotels anymore are bibles. I am not bible person, but you know, I really sort of miss them in some drawer. When was the last time you saw a bible in a hotel? My only complaint is they have outdated TVs, but I guess it makes up with what seemed like a few hundred channels. So if you have the frumps about carbo bar generic breakfast, plain jane business class hotels, come here to treat yourself to a place that will bring a smile to your face. I say surprisingly good because I stay at a lot of business hotels that charge more and have terrible breakfast options. Glamour and upscale, marble statues, tiles, counters and paintings illuminated by crystal chandeliers is just a start despite being reasonably priced compared to more expensive places. $99 to $ 125 a night compared to nearly double or double at other local places. Close to where I needed to be in the morning to avoid traffic issues in San Jose. Great morning buffet, hot fresh food, friendly staff, free wifi, no hassles. I found the Bristol Hotel to be a pleasant surprise. Business has me traveling about 30 weeks a year so it's important to me that the place I stay is nice, comfortable and reasonably priced. This hotel easily met those criteria. The staff was friendly and helpful, the evening wine and cheese was tasty and their buffet breakfast was outstanding. Instead of the usual muffins, bagels and such, they served a real, hot breakfast. The eggs, bacon and potatoes (yes real potatoes) are things not usually found at a mid-priced property. My room was large, clean, stocked with nice toiletries and there were even 2 bottles of water (complementary) in the fridge. All in all, a great value for about a hundred bucks a night. I stayed at the Bristol Hotel several nights when work was being done in my home. The hotel is quite the find -- satisfying facilities at a reasonable price. The decor is Victorian (or something similar), which I didn't think I'd cozy up to, but I found it charming in its own way. The lobby is clean and spacious, as was my assigned room. Each double bed was comfortable, a bit more on the soft (vs. firm) end of the scale. The bed sheets and blanket provided the right amount of warmth. Climate control enabled me to adjust the heat a couple degrees higher for comfort. The bathroom was well lit and spacious. The operation of the shower was rather curious to me. There was no way to independently control the volume and the temperature of the water. High volume of water = scalding hot water; low volume = cold to warm water. To get a tolerable temperature, the volume had to be reduced to near zero, which didn't make for a vigorous shower. The toilet room included a phone, which I found amusing. Unlike many hotels/motels available on hotels dot com or booking dot com, the Bristol is in a safe, mixed residential/commercial suburban neighborhood, which I like. If you prefer a more active setting in downtown San Jose or near malls/lots of retail, the Bristol is not for you. The Bristol offers a complimentary breakfast (6:30 to 9:00 a.m.) that's more generous than continental breakfasts at many hotels. On the "menu": Various juices, water, milk, hot & cold cereals, eggs, bacon or sausage on alternating days, potatoes, toast, pancakes, danishes, yogurt, and fresh fruit (cantaloupe and watermelon). Staff, except one person* (there's always an exception to every rule!), was welcoming, warm, and friendly. They were also accommodating. For example, my and my guest's room entry cards kept losing their magnetization -- denying access to our room -- and had to be exchanged a total of 4 times in the course of 4 days. Never was my guest or I given any attitude by front desk staff. We just showed our photo IDs, and they issued new cards immediately. * The one exception to the contingent of friendly staff: At checkout, the front desk clerk said, "You're set to go," then just walked away. Geez. How about "Thank you for coming," "I hope you enjoyed your stay," or "Please come back"? There's generous, free on-site parking, although the lot starts to approach capacity later in the evening. Overall, my experience at the hotel was very positive. If I ever need accommodations when more work is done on my house, the Bristol Hotel will be at the top of my list. read more

Zal is the man!! I've stayed at the Bristol Hotel many times previously when I was in town and couldn't just expense it on my company and it was always a reasonable price and more than you'd ever expect for the price. I live in the area now and had an emergency and since The Bristol Hotel used to be my "go to" previously and I wasn't going to spend +$300 for the night I gave Bristol a call. Zal booked me in and hopefully this doesn't get him in trouble but he also let me use the microwave to warm up my meal I was hoping to eat at home.....Bristol is very old school, clean and just a great option. My husband and I have stayed here many times. It is in a nice location for Silicon Valley. The breakfast is great compared to most hotels. The bed comfort varies. They clean the room nicely, but the carpets need cleaning and the place is starting to look worn. They are large rooms which I really like. The front desk is really friendly. You get a better rate on weekends due to the business guests who are there during the week. WATCH OUT FOR THIS SITE WHEN BOOKING- : "BRISTOL HOTEL, BOUTIQUE COLLECTION" ... Call the hotel direct or use a good booking service. One time I used Bristol Hotel, Boutique Collection with the Bristol insignia. It looked like it was an on line service for the Bristol Hotel, but it isn't. You are sent a receipt later with an extra charge. At the bottom of a receipt I found a charge of $12.99 and the name Reservation Counter. I felt ripped off. It will never happen again. read more

We've stayed here twice now and each time has been very nice. its a "themed" hotel of like European decor. the staff is always very helpful and the breakfast is great. all the rooms have the same decor and paintings in them if you were wondering. the mattresses are a lil wonky with 2 this ones stacked on top of eachother. I stayed here with my family when they came into town a few weeks ago for a wedding, and I was absolutely impressed with the customer service, quality of rooms, and overall experience. To start, I came in to check the place out before making reservations for my family, and the front desk receptionist was very friendly and accommodating. The manager even gave me a personal tour of the hotel, including one of the rooms to see if I liked it. When i decided to make my reservation, they made sure that they put my family in rooms right next to each other (and away from the street since I said they would like quiet rooms). Checking in was a breeze (they even let us into our rooms a few hours early!), and the whole stay was easy and comfortable. The breakfast was to die for (especially the potatoes!) and the free wine reception was a nice relaxing experience. I only wish they had it every night! Overall, great hotel! Will definitely stay here again if i get the chance! read more

IS this the greatest place we have ever stayed in??? No... Is it a good value??? Absolutely Yes. My wife and I have stayed here twice and are stopping by this weekend. We have always found this place nice, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast that is served is very good. The price we have paid is very reasonable. The staff has always been very nice and helpful. I am not sure where some of the people who gave a low rating stayed but it wasn't here. I would highly recommend the Bristol Hotel. read more

This place is essentially in Campbell California which is a vey nice city. Buy my room was quite inexpensive considering how beautiful it is. Crystal chandeliers, lovely displays fine china. Very grand. Sort of a mid century European feel, I might call it. Room was also just as beautiful. Very clean and comfortable, with everything I needed.
