The renovations looked like they were done as cheaply as possible, ESPECIALLY the bathroom. The room was okay. The finishes look rushed. The worst part was the water pressure in the bathroom....both the sink faucet and the shower barely had any pressure, which made washing up or showering pretty frustrating The parking was a joke. Charging $15 a night to park in a lot where you have to worry about your car getting broken into or your windows smashed is ridiculous. If you're going to charge for parking, at least provide a secure lot or some level of security. Thankful I only stayed here for one night as I saw 6-7 cars wish windows smashed. there are much better places to stay for the price. read more

Came down to San Jose for work meetings. This hotel was very close to the venue. Check-in was very smooth and efficient. Breakfast included for the next couple of days and very close to some great local dining. The guest room I stayed in was awesome. Two queen beds and very spacious. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Love the huge shower! Also, Ivan at the front desk did a great job! We were on the 6th floor & I like our room, but didn't love it. I think the bed should've been more in front of the tv instead of the "closet". I couldn't see the whole screen from my side of the bed (the right side). And I love watching tv when I'm in a hotel since I don't have cable @ home so this was disappointing. I did love the sofa lounger, it was comfortable!!! The toilet was very low 2 the ground. And I feel like the shampoo, conditioner, & body soap should've been @ the back wall of the shower, not the side wall. Bed was super comfortable & slept really well!!! My family and I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott for a brief 2 day stay. The hotel has lots of shopping within walking distance with the Pruneyard on the same side of the street (which has a movie theater and lots of shops and restaurants) and Shopping area with a Wholefoods. There is parking near the hotel which the hotel charges $15/day. The hotel has an outdoor pool, exercise room, laundry room, and a very nice lounge area in the lobby. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Since we had 2 young kids with us (8 & 10) we got the suite which was spacious. The room was updated and modern and the beds were very comfortable. The room also had a mini refrigerator and a microwave. Overall our stay was great and I would recommend it. read more

I stayed here during a recent business trip. The front desk host was courteous and the check in process was fairly smooth. The parking was also easily accessible. The rooms however were not up-to the mark. The rooms were cleaned but definitely look old and not up to the Marriot standards. They have a good breakfast place and like any other courtyard their breakfast isn't included in the nightly rate. Given the accessibility in this location I might try a different place next time. read more

This is a typical Courtyard. Nothing fancy or memorable but it's a place to rest your head. I appreciated that when I called, they let me schedule a late check out days before my arrival as sometimes they will only confirm upon check in. My room was not the cleanest. There were some stains on the rug. They had full size toiletries mounted in the bathroom shower for eco-friendliness. The gym was decent but they didn't restock the towels the second day I was there. The gym had a water dispenser for convenient bottle refills. Not sure if this is typical but I had a lot of trouble getting an Uber at this location. Without a car, there are not many dining options close by. read more

I am a lifetime Gold member. Yet the front desk staff would not add my husband to my reservation even though they know the online reservation site doesn't handle this. Every other Marriott handles this at location upon call or chat function. Tyler refused and insisted my husband had to pay for a new reservation. My friends arrived early Saturday morning, flying in internationally. They went to the front desk to see if it was possible to get their rooms early, as they are staying there the whole week. Guy at the front desk was beyond RUDE. I get it, chances of getting checked in early are slim, especially if the hotel is at 100% occupancy. But don't be rude. I think this is my 2nd or 3rd time to review a hotel experience. First was in Paris. In terms of distance to restaurants and to Mystery Spot, we chose this place. Last minute booking is expensive at one night of close to $232. The lobby hotel employees are welcoming - though we noticed the bar is closed on check in at around 430pm. Same goes when we went out and arrived at night. It wasn't that lively place I guess that people may lounge around. From lobby to the room assigned was nice though. read more

I'm convinced all the negative reviews on this place are because of a personal experience/vendetta, not the actual location itself. This is a beautiful venue and true to the Marriott brand. Ramone made sure to put me on the floor requested when I checked in. He could have been more cordial but I'm used to getting that treatment due to being a minority. What really made me give this place 5 stars was the fact I left my ring and the next day after checking out, Ricardo answered and made sure to take care of my situation with urgency! I've stayed at plenty of hotels and the integrity of this place truly wowed me, the room was beautiful and we slept great, downstairs is just as amazing, sad that I missed out on breakfast and Starbucks, both which looked lovely! The only negative thing I saw was chipping wood on the bathroom. They inform you of paying for parking when you check in so you can't get mad about that. Ramone almost forgot my parking pass due to worrying about other things but we made sure to retrieve and place it where needed. I'll be back! Update: I came here during the health scare only to have another room where the heater didn't work, I'm convinced it's a central engineering issue now. Requested blankets ahead of time through the app only for them not to be there. Woke up sick due to the temperature all night, got food to-go from the bistro on my way out only for it to be overpriced frozen food. Nothing craft like the menu portrays. Becoming an outdated hotel that doesn't fully represent the brand. (Knowing from being a rewards member for years). This place needs some maintenance. The shower in our room had serious issues. I reported this to the front desk. Maintenance was not called and no offer to move us to a different room was made. When staying at a hotel one of the things most people want is a nice shower this was not possible. Our room was also noisy, didn't get much sleep. I will say the room was clean but like I said, needed maintenance attention. Front desk staff didn't seem to know their job and really could care less about their customers. Seriously lacking in the customer service department. Lobby, restaurant and bar area look really nice. We decided to eat dinner at the restaurant. We ordered burgers which were just sort of sloped together, terrible presentation and no condiments offered. We ordered ice water to drink, a refill on our water would have been nice. Sadly I do not recommend this hotel or restaurant. read more

I recently stayed on sunday night for my 60th birthday and it was fantastic. They were so accommodating and friendly..especially Ray. He was so helpful with all our needs and had the best smile to greet us! The beds were comfy and the suite was big. They had a mix up about the bill but immediately fixed it no problem. I was here for a 2 hour event. The EV chargers in the parking lot would not work because the administrator has denied access. There were at least 8 ChargePoint EV charging stalls, all EMPTY, and I couldn't use any of them. The administrator clearly doesn't want to support a sustainable future in California. read more

This was the second visit to this hotel. I was disappointed actually. Our room was clean but rundown. The bathroom had a rust spot under the sink and the faux wood paneling in the sink area was coming off. I asked for another set of towels, a blanket and more coffee but had to ask two more times before I got it. Most likely won't be staying here again. read more

Best experience in a very long time! Not only were because of staying at a bad hotel the night before but also our trip was extended cause we were stuck in Tahoe due to storm and we finally got out but needed a place before flying out of SJC. The hotel was comfortable and quiet. Wallie specifically helped us and was extremely nice and went above and beyond for our family to feel welcomed! My daughter loved the sticker her offered her too! Another colleague was very welcoming and was so nice to our toddler daughter and offered her a snack, it was such a sweet gesture. I wish I got her name but we definitely appreciate all the staff we encountered! Thank you for turning our extended trip to better ending than we anticipated and making us feel welcomed and comfortable! Highly recommend this hotel. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable! I normally don't leave review unless it's really good or really bad. Unfortunately this is going to be a negative review. With the price of $259 per night, I would expect some hot shower and good water flow. You turn on shower, five mins went by, no hot water( not even warm) and you crank up all the way to the max then you wait another five mins, finally some warm water came out however the flow is so tiny that you can barely take what I consider a nice relaxing shower and it only lasts about 15 mins and then my boyfriend had to wait another 20 mins to even take a not-so-hot shower This is just overall bad experience and probably won't be back read more

Ok. First off: parking. They charge you $15 ...not sure if it's per car. Parking is not close for anyone with a handicap secondly. Double bed rooms are hella small yet the shower is HUGE. So wtf they tryin' to encourage, hmmm??? Lastly, and this was hilarious because my friend swears that Marriott hotels are so nice and all that. I was curious where the Bible was since I've never been in a hotel or even a motel that didn't have one. I noticed a space above the linen closet and to my surprise not only did I find the missing bible, but a USED crack pipe hidden in there. I think they need to check for things upon cleaning because who knows what else can be hidden in there. Parking alone was my reason for never going back there. These guys are really good and have continued to impress me on successive stays. The positive: 1) Reasonably priced food itess and breakfast until 10am. 2) Free Wi-Fi. 3) Spacious rooms, big TVs. 4) Very friendly staff. 5) $1 on-site laundry machines. When my clothes didn't dry all the way and I was in a huge hurry, they comped the second dry which saved me a lot of hassle going back to find change. Only $1, but very helpful to me. The negative: 1) I was going to say location, but honestly, it's close enough to the action. Pruneyard Plaza is walkable, and Santana Row is a 10-minute drive. I just have to say that this hotel is outstanding in every way but greatness only happens with incredible employees. 2 outstanding employees Ray A. and the general manager Jorge are just amazing. Ever since we had my daughter's rehearsal dinner in the bistro eating area of the foyer years ago, each return visit has been nothing short of top notch service. The staff is always welcoming and accommodating. Rooms are always clean n ready upon arrival. If ever I need anything or have an occasional special request, I'm always accommodated. They have a wonderful cafe and bar. Breakfast and dinner items available daily. Although they are closed for lunch, there are many locations within walking distance that serve lunch. I just can't say enough about this Campbell Courtyard as I stay here frequently. They get my A+ grade and continued patronage. read more

The rooms are large and have all of the amenities for business and staying connected. There is a nice gym with pool and hot tub. Just had a training session this weekend and I must say that staff were all friendly, soft spoken, and nice. The conference room that we held our training was sufficient and relatively accessible but the one thing that irritated me was that there isn't a clock in the room. We did ask for one but nobody got back to us. If you make arrangements to have the hotel cater your conference, training, or meeting be sure to ask them to supply enough beverages. We had 19 people in this training but at lunch there were like 10 carbonated drinks. There were pitchers of iced tea and iced water which was great. Lunch on day one: ham and cheese. Everyone complained that it was dry. It is but I think it was just the bread that was the culprit. I wonder how they store the bread. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and crisp. On day one, the sandwiches were cut diagonally in half and inside the plastic containers contain one packet of mayonnaise and one packet of mustard. Lunch on day two: I did not opt for it but my colleague that I did this training w/ gave me his turkey and cheese however, the sandwich wasn't cut. The chocolate chip cookies were good but maybe they could hold off on the chocolate sauce drizzle on the plate as that made a plate sort of mandatory when eating it. We also asked for lunch to be served at 11. They originally came and told us that they couldn't meet that time. They did in the end which was great but it wasn't brought to our attention until we walked out. We were conducting this training based on the breaks and lunch because we needed adequate time to complete our modules. + Restroom facility was clean. + Parking wasn't an issue (for me). - The temperature in the room fluctuated often. + Tons of power outlets in the room. - Doors to outside patio is locked until you ask for it to be unlocked I enjoyed facilitating but no more weekends (hopefully). read more

Let's start with location, conveniently located near in Campbell and Silicon Valley. Price was expensive, $220 a night, even after my military discount. Hotel check in was incredibly slow, 8-10 guests checking in, and only one, friendly/polite, staff working check in. After 25 minutes, finally our turn. As we get to the room, it a modern but shows wear and tear. Ice maker broken on 4th Floor, and no joke, the towels are thinner and crunchier then the ones I use to wash my car. Horrible. Ugh. :( Here for four days and three nights. And during our stay, not one time, was our room cleaned or re-stocked. On the morning of day three, about 9:00am'ish, I stopped by the desk and specifically asked to have room cleaned etc... get back that night about 8:00pm'ish, and the room was as we left it. Room service was MIA. Went to lobby to inquire, again waited, thankfully only 7-8 minutes this time, but they had no answer as to why room has not been cleaned, etc,. Front staff check in wen tans got her manager, Lana, who's only response was, "We'll check into this in the morning," left me with that. This is your pathetic attempt to solve your customer service problem...!?! So I say...Lana...you can check your one star Yelp review in the morning too!!! I have been here multiple times...have...I'd say, because there will be no future stays. You have chosen to lose my business. Nighty nite!!! read more

Location wise you can go up to the left to Menlo Park or Sunnyvale. Or drive up to the right side to Fremont or even Livermore. I agree with Genevieve's review! This Courtyard by Marriott is awesome!! This property has an asian feel to it. The lobby is open and airy, nicely decorated, and business seems organized. Away from downtown however close to shops and public transportation, this property is located right off the freeway. 3 miles away from a nice mall on San Jose St. and just minutes away from the Campbell Park and old town shops!! Walking distance you will find a Trader Joe's, Marshall's, Barnes & Noble Book Store, a pastry shop, and other restaurants surrounding the hotel. Took a morning run to the Campbell Park which was a good mile away. The Park has an awesome 4 or 5 mile trail that is fairly busy throughout the day. Campbell seems like a great community and the people seem friendly! I enjoyed the entire weekend up here, my stay at the Marriott made it all the more pleasurable! read more

We had rented a room just to hang out, drink (although, I don't drink since I'm allergic), and chill with each other. We are all of age to drink, but we didn't want to go to the clubs or anything like that. I brought some Jell-O shots with alcohol that I made and all. Something fun and secluded where we could be together. It was a fun experience, memories created, and something you cannot forget! Just walking around.. I found that the hotel rates are fairly priced, the accommodation is good with the services and amenities, gym room, and meeting rooms. It was over a hundred degrees in the Valley and I was-not-having-it. Seeing as it was Independence Day, I thought I'd give myself a mini-fakation and rent an air-conditioned room nearby. This was the cheapest respectable place within thirty-minutes of my house, so I called and booked a room. The other nearby hotel was more than double the price and offered half the amenities, so I thought I'd give this place a try! I was shocked to find a brand new hotel, practically empty, stocked with almost anything I could want for a quick trip. The front desk employee, Candy, was a great help in getting me set with all the things I needed. There is a bar-lounge downstairs, which doubles as a breakfast post in the morning. I tried the chocolate blueberry muffins and the Morning Meal Deal, which is an egg/sausage croissant + orange juice: both were just okay; don't get the muffins. The room was your standard Marriott Standard; it wasn't anything luxurious (no bathtub), but it wasn't sketchy. There is a pool & jacuzzi, gym, and snack bar (no microwave in my room) on the first floor. The elevators are a bit slow for an empty hotel with only seven stories. I stayed here on 4th of July and could see fireworks from my room on the fifth floor! The parking lot was weird, and made the place feel like a step-down. However, the staff was friendly as well as helpful during the times I needed them. Overall, I would recommend the hotel. You can't beat the price for what you're getting. This is a terrific new hotel in the San Jose silicon valley. Fantastic location! We used this hotel for our guests attending a family event. They created a web link for registration. Jorge Linares was very responsive and made the process really smooth. The hotel: Brand new.... The lobby is really nice. Rooms are ok. I wasn't a guest but everyone I spoke to liked it.
