I was emotionally in shock and my car was totalled . He drove m to the waiting vehicle before letting me report my horrific accident. I was instructed to sign the papers before I was able to report my accident. it was Friday of a long weekend. I am a senior and I was alone in my car. I attempted the following week to immediately return the car and they said they would charge me $1000.00 plus rent fees incurred for returning the car " early " They want all they could ge from my insurance and me. It is a total scam. After 6 weeks I was finally able to return the car because the insurance had settled with me. Another Friday of a long weekend I was instructed by the adjuster to return the car on Monday by 5 PM. I called over 100 times and the answering machine always said the ag were speaking to other customers. I called all weekend. I checked their website and nothing was said th were closed all the long weekend. I checked their site and it only said hours might vary! I was shocked to suggest improving customer communication in their advertising I was told well it is a long weekend. No one listened as I had never dealt with car rental companies before. I will never forget the extraordinarily poor service and attitude towards customers who are going through some of the worst e of their live. I could have been killed by the other driver. I wo never ever go back to this one or use a car rental service again if I can help it. Please be aware!!!

Amazing service, great value for the price and convince…read more I used U-Pack for transporting a container from Toronto, Canada to San Diego, California. Their services on both side were amazing. The container arrived on time, picked up on time and also great assistance if filling out the custom forms. On receiving end in California was a breeze for us. I would highly recommend their service as it simplifies a process that can be very overwhelming.

The assistant manager didn't give any explanation for the truck being returned late after business hours. There isn't a drop box for truck key, the rest of the staff is extremely rude. They tend to support their assistant manager, I explained to the associate the return policy after hours wasn't mentioned at all. Truck insurance is only for uhual truck accidents not 3rd party. For being late without the truck key dropped off, they charged for 2 days rental. I highly don't recommend this location.

Do not use U-Haul. Use literally any of their competitors…read more Went in on Sunday to rent a pickup truck to get a bed. They had 'technical problems' and we waited over an hour to simply receive the keys, and were directed outside. Wait outside for about ten minutes....no sign of the gentleman we are supposed to speak with to get the vehicle. Eventually I wander over into the shop area and see someone sitting on their phone. He takes the key and goes around the corner....and we wait another 15. So we get the truck, get the bed, drop it off, add $5 of fuel just to be on the safe side, and drop the truck off after a total trip of 19.6 km of the estimated 20. The same guy who got us the truck eventually makes his way over. Verifies no damage, the kilometers were less than the estimate, and the gas is at (or above) the level we received it. He takes a while using his computer and then tells me that a receipt is not available, but all is well, and we leave. The next day I get a call from U Haul asking rather pointedly when I plan on returning the truck. I reply that it was dropped off, after only about an hour of use. The person on the other end says 'oh ok', and we are done/ The day after I get an emailed receipt. The rocket scientists at U-haul had rented this truck out to another customer, and added that use to my bill. So the kilometers go from 20 that we actually used to nearly 100. A gas surcharge of $85 is added...and to top it off, they completely added another trailer we never used. Needless to say, I was livid. Called in, got bounced around between the store, head office, and the store again (getting 'cut off' once). Eventually after 4 hours and great frustration they agree to charge me only what I actually used the truck for. How generous! Considering the mountain of errors and great inconvenience a discount might have been added. We have used Uhaul for all our past moves because this location has always been slightly close to us, but going forward we will use any of their competitors. Ill buy a mule and haul everything piecemeal before using these clowns again

Absolutely unacceptable experience with CanaDream…read more Our family travelled with 3 other families -- all of us booked and paid for the exact same RV category. Yet somehow the other 3 families all received spacious RVs with slide-out extensions while we were stuck with the only small RV without one. Same price, completely different experience. Anyone familiar with RVs knows the difference in space and comfort is massive. Then CanaDream charged us for a bike rack, emailed us the NIGHT BEFORE pickup saying none were available, and still left the charge on our account until we complained afterward. What was even worse was the attitude from management. Completely dismissive, defensive, and more interested in hiding behind policy wording than acknowledging the obvious unfairness of the situation. Their idea of "making it right" was offering a discount on a future booking -- as if we would ever trust this company again after how poorly this was handled. CanaDream clearly has no issue taking full payment while delivering a noticeably inferior experience to some customers. We won't be returning -- and we'll be making sure others know exactly what to expect before booking with them.

I originally booked a…read moreUHaul, but realized there was no guarantee of a truck until a confrimation call the day prior, so I ended up cancelling UHaul and trying Penske. I really liked the idea of 24-hour rental so I could pack up the truck the night before my move. The truck was brand new (only about 900 kms on it), the staff was very helpful. It was reasonably priced, especially since it drove almost 100km. \there are companies out there that charge per calendar day, and thankfully Penske's is on a 24-hour basis. It's worth the extra money for the piece of mind of a reliable company. Thank you for a great experience!
