Sadly, the same cannot be said of a Belmont office of Dental Town. (Norma ?? not sure of title / name). In November 2025 I visited the location to make an appointment. Norma disregarded my written insurance confirmation, stating she could not find it in "her system". She tried to raise her "insurance contact" on the phone, to no avail. I left without an appointment. She promised she'll call me but never did. On February 11, 2026 I called to see if the issue was resolved, as I received another insurance confirmation in the mail. To my surprise, I was told in a very aggresive and inappropriate tone, that I'm being "terminated" at your clinic and she felt slighted or some such, back in November, when I was waiting for 30 minutes for her to finish her searches. Later I received an unsigned, and astonishing in its insolence letter. Norma, an office worker, "informs" me that "DENTAL TOWN BELMONT is withdrawing from your further professional care immediately". I wrote a registered letter to the owner of Dental Town, Dr Sinan Razzak, DDS. I described the situation. I requested that at the very least I'd be forwarded with dr Gandoor' contact information, so I can continue seeing him. The letter was sent in mid-April. To date (5-20) I have not received any answer. Today I tried to contact Dr Gandoor by phone at the Dental Town location. I was refused and hang up on. Because of that I cannot contact my doctor !!

However, the rest of the office was fine. There is an adequate number of chairs in the waiting area. I didn't have to wait long to be seen by the receptionist or dental hygienist. As a new patient, you have to sign a couple of forms that takes about 5-10 minutes to complete. Each room had a smart TV hung up on the wall. I spent my time watching the Ellen DeGeneres show. Of course, she gave a car to the guest during that episode. There was a slight confusion on my x-rays being transferred to this office from my previous dentist, but they were finally able to locate my records. My dental hygienist, Samantha (Sam as her nickname), was very friendly and thorough. She wasn't too rough when cleaning my teeth and took time to walk me through the process as she was doing the cleaning. That was definitely appreciated. Dr. Philip Fidel was great with good bedside manner. He was easy-going and asked questions to get to know me. He also answered questions and addressed any concerns I had with my teeth. Get this...As a new patient, they give you a small gift bag of goodies that varied. My boyfriend received chapstick and gum. Mine had two Tazo tea bags and a bath bomb! She was wonderfully, compassionate and apologetic. I was basically assaulted in the chair while I had instruments in my mouth. I can in for a dental emergency, a cracked tooth that was giving me significant pain. The dental assistant was kind and gracious while taking the x-ray. The dentist came in, did not introduce himself, had his back to me most of the time and finally said, "you need a root canal", all of this before he even verbally acknowledged my presence. I was a bit nervous, well a lot nervous and my legs were shaking, his next response was telling me to stop moving, "because you can't hit a moving target", of course this left me perplexed because, I was curious as to what was he trying to hit, seeing that he had diagnosed me with the need for a root canal and said he'd give me a referral. The dental insurance is commonwealth HMO, my first time using the HMO because of a job change. Here's where things went from bad to worse, he started cleaning my teeth without asking me (this is where the abuse comes in), I've worked in health care operations for many, many years and I've managed multiple dental practices. Everyone in healthcare knows, that if you do not ask the patient for permission, when you decide to go off course of the originally c/o, it is assault, extreme but true. I came in for an acute issue and I was hustled. Very typical scam for Health care clinicians who pray on unsuspecting patients. It all happened so fast. Once I was able to say something, I then said, you are wasting my time, I did not stop him from doing the cleaning, I was so alarmed that he would take it upon himself to just start the cleaning when I came to the office for tooth pain and a cracked tooth. His response to me was " when was the last time you've been to the dentist... didn't they tell you that you had a hole in your tooth, I responded something like, "I'm not neglecting my teeth, had I know, I would have taken care of it". Another one of his responses was, "You have a lot of crap on your teeth and I'm trying to get it off", Really.... The only reason I was there was for treatment of my cracked tooth. He finally finished with the 15 minute cleaning job and walked away saying "I'm not trying to hurt your feelings" in which I had responded, "too late". On a positive note, I did hear him speaking nicely to another patient in the office, who had actually seen him at another location. One can only speculate why he had such horrible bed side manners with me. He was horrible before I had even opened my mouth. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS PLACE, and I made this perfectly clear upon leaving the office.

They are terrible at communication, do poor work on your teeth, and are downright shady. I scheduled a routine cleaning as a new patient. When I showed up, they didn't have my appointment on their schedule or my information even though I called to make my appointment and gave my insurance info over the phone. I had to wait for over 30 minutes while the receptionist got everything sorted out. I told them multiple times that I have extremely sensitive teeth due to gum recession, but the hygienists were still rough and repeatedly blasted my sensitive areas with cold water - it was the most painful cleaning I've ever had. On top of that, people are running around and yelling at each other in different languages the whole time. Super stressful and uncomfortable environment. Then the doctor tells me I need to come back to get sealants over old cavities. So I schedule another appointment for later in the week, and they schedule me for another cleaning in 6 months. When I come in for the sealants, the number of how many sealants I "needed" kept increasing. I was told at the start of the appointment, that I needed 3, and after my insurance it would cost around $70. As the dentist was working on me, she kept adding more, and by then end it was 6 teeth for $100 after their made up "discount." The dentist worked very fast and carelessly. I left with lots of excess material on my teeth that fell off into my mouth over the next week. At the end of the appointment, they tried to schedule me for my 6 months cleaning AGAIN - the first one apparently wasn't on their schedule. Then when I get the statement from my insurance, they billed for 12 FILLINGS. 12! I didn't even get 1 filling, I only got 6 sealants. So they've screwed me over, since my insurance gives me a certain $ amount of coverage per year. Plus, if I end up actually needing a filling on any of these teeth in the future, my insurance won't cover it. My boyfriend had an even worse experience here, I feel like I got lucky compared to him.

After 18 mo of being a Northside patient, they've diagnosed 0 cavities and confirmed the "root canal worthy pain" was from poor tooth shaping from a cavity fill at dentology. I get regular X-rays with Northside Shout out to my hygienist Pam who is always kind, easy to talk to, lets me know what's going on, and makes the whole experience pleasant.

There are so many other dentists offices in the area, including a couple along the same stretch of Lawrence between Elston and Pulaski. Any of them are more worth the time and energy than Grace.
