Took my toddler in today for his first cleaning and my goodness, they were AMAZING! I would recommend this dentistry for any pediatric needs. We are so sad we didn't know about this place earlier in my daughter's life. We have two autistic children and my youngest comes here to see Dr. Mendoza. The entire staff is friendly, calm, and incredibly patient with the children here. They got us in on an emergency basis to assess a cracked tooth for my youngest child. They understand the importance of keeping up a good rapport with their kiddos and making sure every visit is positive. I don't know what we would do without them and am so glad we have them as part of their long term care team. I recommend for anyone with anxious kiddos and special needs kiddos. Brought my daughter here for her very first dental check up with a pediatric dentist and was pleased by the entire experience. The office is extremely clean, bright and modern. The staff is friendly and welcoming. There's a cartoon TV room for kids as well as a small play area with toys to keep them busy while waiting, which wasn't even long at all (5-8 minutes tops) Dr Mendoza has a wonderful way with children. My daughter never hesistated in allowing him to look in her mouth during the exam because he made sure to tell her what he was doing and let her look at and touch the instruments he was going to use on her. He said my daughter had beautiful teeth ( no cavities ! Hooray!)and put me at ease about her nighttime grinding suggesting warm compress massages to do on her before bed . Dr. Eltink displays poor bedside manners. Additionally, Dr. Eltink and staff blatantly displayed acts of unprofessionalism, incompetence, and inability to perform basic office tasks or orthodontic procedures. Poor sanitary and hygienic practices observed. Assistants failed to wash hands before applying gloves. Also, it was observed that assistants used gloved hands to touch doors, phone handles, sink fixtures, and other unclean spaces prior to using those same gloved hands to insert into patients' mouths. Staff became agitated when asked to don new/clean gloves. The office is a breeding ground for contamination. Examinations performed and records were collected but a consent form for treatment was never provided. Fees were charged for services that were not rendered. Records were collected but staff failed to provide copy of chart upon request. Violation of HIPAA policies observed as patient information was readily discussed/disclosed in open spaces. No confidentiality or respect for patient privacy exists. Unprofessionalism lives here. Incompetence lives here. Contamination lives here. Poor ethics. Poor bedside manners. I have been forced to purse legal actions to obtain my medical record as well as file a report of the HIPAA violations. My advice is to seek care elsewhere. ****UPDATE: The merchant responded and is sour about the review that I left and decided to post a response. The fact that the merchant utilized my legal name in responding to this review is further evidence of the HIPAA violations and patient privacy breaches that was alluded to in the original post. My review is 100% honest and speaks to the nature of my experience at this office. Furthermore, the merchant blatantly admits to breach of patient privacy and confidentiality when claiming to have discussed me/my care with "several other orthodontic offices". The merchant claims that no services were scheduled or agreed to. Well if that was the case, then why were fees charged to the credit card? Consultations are free. If no services were rendered, then why is there a patient chart? Liars and dishonesty live here. They have completely failed at their mission statement. read more

Took my 6 year old son to get cavities taken care of cause he's a very anxious boy and no one near us seemed like the right fit to help him out. He would be so scared to even have a cleaning done. I'm so so so thankful we found Chicago smile specialists. They eased my son's fears and my fear of possibly needing to put him under for his work. Dr Mendoza and his staff were amazing with him! He had a few cavities he needed filling and a couple crowns put in. They split everything up into multiple visits and only used the nitrous gas on him and everything went super smooth! Hello Eveyone I'm back again. I have said it once and it is my pleasure to say it again! The office from EVERY DOCTOR TO EVRY STAFF, are the best you can ever ask for. So my granddaughter had been playing with her cousin and nearly knocked out half of her teeth! And as usual it would be when everything is closed for the holiday, but I called the emergency number, and the one of there dentist called me right back. They advised me to go to the hospital, and they would someone there to take care of my precious grandbaby (age 9). The person they sent was a great resident in training, and took care of her. After that she seen Dr. Mendoza the following business day. Let's just put it this way they saved her from losing her adult teeth and cared for them as if they were their own children's teeth. They will not go anywhere else, and they love both Dr.Mendoza and Dr. Justin. They are above and beyond, and the girlies up front ALWAY have the real work and drama! God bless u girls too. read more

I was referred to Just Kids Dental by my dentist for orthodontic work. I was hesitant at first since I am an adult in my 30's. I also have had braces in the past and just came to the conclusion that my teeth were a lost cause. At my consultation, Dr. Eltink, was very thorough and offered a "plan of attack" for my teeth. He answered any and every question I had. I felt very comfortable with his easy going attitude and optimistic views. He is straightforward with the costs and gives you the option of a payment plan.
