I didn't receive bad service, I received no service. They do not wait on women. It's fine because most of their shirts are plastic. I did find a couple that were only partially plastic and intended to but them foe my husband but, since I was never acknowledged, I left empty handed. So happy I didn't support their rude behavior. I wanted to come in here to escape the heat and my husband came here for some swimming trunks. I told him to pack, but ... Anyway, he did find some shorts and they fit. They are filled with sharks but some are swimming upside down which is weird! So watch for the quality. But the people there were nice and answered his questions. Ok. This store rocks! They have so many cool products for all types. Shoes, to shirts, to hats. So much fun. When I was there, they were having a great sale on just about everything in the store. WOW...my eyes were opened wide and I has a kid in a candy store. The variety of products and sizes were excellent. The staff was so friendly and helpful. They took the time to work with you when you needed it, and left you alone to peruse. I ended up coming back later that day with other friends to show them the store and bought more things. My favorite clothing and shoe store on Palm Canyon as a local resident. Great selection of PS wear that has colour, style, and fashion taste. Shoe bargains from $29 -$39. Owner works during the week. Yes, he's very British and knowledgeable retailer. And if u like a symbol on items they have socks, underwear and even a mask with Union Jack. They have a cool logo/marquee. However, the items are not, for the most part representative of Great Britain. I was with a London native when I visited the shop. They mostly had cheaply made, overpriced Palm Springs "fun in the sun" style tourist apparel. Not what we expected to find. Quite disappointed. Hats are not name brand like Strata, Stetson, BullHide, etc. Their hats are "made in China." Again, not the quality one would expect. read more

I never fail to pop into this little gem of a store whenever we are in Palm Springs. I fell in love with some grey felt boots. At $45 bucks they can't be beat. This store always has a great curated selection of sexy casual and dressy clothes. My boyfriend bought a few pairs of shorts that were on sale. The staff was very friendly and helpful, as always. Great little store with some cool clothes. Prices are good, in fact saw a few items that were pricier just down the street. Friendly employee, with amazing eyes I might add, was helpful in finding a pair of shorts I saw displayed. The store has unique items I liked although the sweat pants I bought on sale had a defective zipper. When I called to ask for options, store owner was very gracious with offering a store credit discount because I wanted to keep the pants, I liked them that much, and they had no replacement in my size. A fun & funky men's clothing shop. A bit on the pricey side on some things but its Palm Springs so what do you expect. It is, however geared towards the gay men community. My British wife was a bit disappointed but I saw some shoes that I wanted but the wife said no to them. I might sneak in there and buy them anyways (sorry honey). FABULOUS store and customer service!! We were visiting Palm Springs for our sons wedding in April. We went shopping one of the days and happened upon the British Invasion clothing store. It was really busy and we were in a large group. Everyone working there was SO nice! They have a gorgeous location and a beautiful selection of mens and women's clothing and footwear. My husband bought 4 really nice summer shirts w/o trying them on. The staff was so busy, we just thought we'd get out of the way. We got home to Iowa and the shirts were too small. I contacted the store and spoke w Oak who put me in touch with Jerry, the owner in about 15 minutes. Jerry was SO accommodating! I asked if we could exchange the shirts and he said of course. I boxed them up and included a return shipping label to send them back to us and we got them within a week and they are perfect. It was no doubt a hassle for Jerry's staff to do the exchange, box them up and ship them back to us but they did it. We are really grateful. We can't wait to visit there again and spend more time in British Invasion. If you ever get to Palm Springs, be sure to visit the British Invasion. read more

The owner is always nice and professional but the other male employees tend to pick and choose who they wanna cater to. If you're young and good-looking, they tend to avoid you and if you're middle aged and look like you might have some money, they kiss your ass. No consistency at all. Not helpful at all. I think the owner deleted my bad review on Facebook after my last visit about a week ago. He asked me to inbox him and I did. He never followed up. I've been to this store at least 6 times over the years. I've gone there with friends and bought different things. This is what a loyal customer can get in return with British Invasion. It's a real shame considering I actually liked the store. Probably will not be stopping there again so I went to R & R and spent my money there instead. Boy, this is a tough one.....Dom and I went to the desert for a weekend excursion and I needed a belt and shirt for the night. So, we stumble upon this indie' store and they had an ok selection of mens / women apparel. The store tries to come across as a high end boutique w British inspired design...anyway, i wear a an XL and knowing how these clothes fit, scour for xxl. We found a few things and i decide on $90 shirt and $40 belt ( keep in mind both the garment and accessory are really nothing but cheap Made In China production that the store likely landed in the states at $4 for the belt and $12-15 for the shirt ). I pay the $130 and just happy to find an outfit. Now, i never tried the shirt on for 1 simple reason --- the dressing room has no privacy and if the shirt didnt fit, figured I'd bring back in the am and just wear an outfit i brought w me. The shirt wound up being too big. We went back sunday am to return, but they were closed. Figured i would come back during the week as i had to go to the outlets. I come back Tuesday. The owner is there - a bit snobby - but hey, i looked like a bum in mismatched shorts and an Adidas shirt - so definitely looked out of place there :) ( whats that saying about judging a book by its cover...) i told him the shirt was too big and would like another. They ran out. I then looked for something else and found nada. I asked for a refund. He refused. He said " independent retailers don't refund items and " it costs me too much to return goods" . I tried being tactful, eventually told h what i did for a living and would up angrily taking his pathetic coupon for store credit and walking out. I could go on this review, but will spare more detail unless he or one of his buds who has given +++ reviews refutes my 100 % fact. In summary 1) terrible pricing on low end production 2) rude ownership 3) bad store polices 4) takes advantage of tourists I am now stuck w this worthless coupon - which i'll probably throw out. My girlfriend and I are moving here from Florida and are opening up an Organic meal delivery business in the area and she had never been to Palm Springs. She was browsing a couple of stores down and I saw a cute top for her on display. It said $16 with a 25% off sticker on it. There was another sign that said 20% off storewide sale. I took the shirt up to the register and the young male sales assistant told me it would be $16 plus tax. I then said what about the 25% off and walked him out and showed him the sticker. He told me that it was there by mistake. I then pointed to the other sign that said 20% off storewide. He then said that that was only to items above $16. I asked where it said that? He told me that was his owners policy. I wasn't getting a real warm and fuzzy but I bought the shirt anyway. He rang it up in his iPad and didn't give me a receipt. I told him I needed it not knowing if she would like it. He then gave me one. I walked back to surprise my girlfriend with it. She walked out of the store she was in and tried it on. It was a one size fits all and she didn't like the baggy fit around her mid section. I told her to come look at the other styles they had assuring her she would like something. We went back and she tried on several items but found nothing she liked. She then told me to just pick out a pair of shorts. I found a pair I liked, tried them on and they fit great. They were marked $40. I took them up to the register to exchange them. I said ok, they are marked $40 minus 20% $8 off making them $32 minus the $16 I had paid for her shirt makes the difference $16 plus tax. He told me that there could be no discount on an exchange item. I said WHAT??? He than again said that's the owners policy. I shared with him I managed and was a buyer for a men's clothing store for 5 years. I have been in business for myself for 30 years. Recently I have been in conversations with the Robert Graham clothing line out of LA about the creation of an eco friendly men's shirt line. I told him in a polite way he was trying to rip me off and I wasn't very happy about it. At this point I was a little heated and asked for a refund. He told me he couldn't refund me because it was store policy again per the owner. He offered me a store credit. You can imagine how excited I was about that. I then said ok ill take the store credit. I'll then buy the shorts for $40 minus the 20% discount and use my store credit of $16. He said no all he could do was give me 20% off the difference. So basically I got a 10% discount. Karma is everything. My girlfriend and I have over 15,000 combined facebook friends and followers. She is not happy. I hope this warns future potential customers of the very shady sale tactics of the this store's employees and according to him the owner. ps we walked two stores down and spent $150.00 . The girl there was very honest and awesome. Palm Springs deserves more of the later. read more

Bought a pair of Jeans (on sale for $50.00) which completely fell apart after 6 weeks. When I called the store, they told me that sales items could not be returned, Keep in mind that 1/2 the store merchandise is on sale. I also found out that the Jeans were Chinese made (no country of origin on the label) and sold for $30.00 max elsewhere. This store is on the main strip and cater to out of towners/tourists.
