We paid for open swim (from 11-3pm $5 adults $3 child) and head for the locker rooms. Locker rooms were a bit small but did the job. They only had the half size lockers so don't bring anything long (coats, dress). Showers were clean and had soap available. The pool was wonderful. They dedicate two lanes for "open" swim and the rest of the pool is for lap (about 4 lanes I think). At 11 it was not too busy at all and we were able to have our mommy group space enough. We were not bothered and the life guard was right there the whole time. The rest of the facility looked great too. Might have to check out their gym or therapy pool/lessons another time. They do lessons as well.

Not to make light of the other reviews, or try to discredit them, but it's kind of why I put off writing this review. Just in case things went left, I hadn't already jumped out there with my review. Hopefully those reviews are the reason I can write this one today. We moved to this area 2 years ago, and were a little sad to hear that memberships at this pool were limited. We put ourselves on the list, and i'm not even sure how far we are down, but we are still waiting to become members. This summer my kids were sitting around bored. I mean we go here and there, but the bulk of our time is spent around the house. So we were excited when we got an email saying they were offering memberships for the summer. We quickly purchased the membership, and now when theres nothing to do for the day my kids have somewhere they can go have a good time. The staff has been friendly, and we have not had any negative interactions with anyone. It's great that our kids get to meet more kids from the community, and make friends. My wife and I have also gotten to know some of our neighbors, which may have never happened otherwise.

We did one season out at the glen burnie location, and were never allowed to move to the Annapolis…read morelocation. We'd show up for meets and our location coaches wouldn't be there, and the Annapolis coaches didn't really know our kids. It's a great place to swim if you just want to keep them swimming without doing team, but the competition experience was very uncomfortable. They had my son all season, yet in 7 weeks with the summer swim coach, they fixed all of my swimmer's problems that took all year with no success!! And these were things we repetitively asked how to help fix them! Our local coaches said they can never understand how Annapolis never has any openings, but their swimmers don't show as much improvement as other teams do. It wasn't until the last month of the session that the coach actually moved from the end of the pool! They'd say swim this, go and then they'd pull out their phones. We have since moved to another swim team but we felt like it was a whole year of wasted time and money. Funny thing though - you'd start the session with 20 kids or so. By the end? You'd get 5-6 that would show up on a given day. Word is only around 8 people have signed up for the fall 2016 session. People vote with their feet and their money. I'd look elsewhere before signing up at the Glen burnie location. In fact, had I known how it was, I was offered to be wait-listed at the Annapolis pool in the beginning. I probably would have rather waited than keep my swimmer in the water in Glen burnie.

They not only learned how to swim, but they found a passion for swimming and a love of the water. The instructors are young and energetic, and they are incredibly knowledgeable and encouraging with the kids. After every session, they give parents feedback on how the kids are doing and what they need to improve on. They restrict the class sizes as well, so that each child gets lots of attention. 100% recommend this place! We love it.
