The amazing, talented, sweet Ashley not only gave me exactly what I wanted - her consultation was full of knowledge, patience, and explanations - which made me so comfortable and all nervousness left my body. I tried 3 ppl before finding her and I'm SO incredibly grateful. Not only is she talented and actually listens, but she is also kind and fun which makes spending a couple hours in that chair fly by. She is reasonable in her pricing as well, which makes it possible for me to afford to maintain my hair vs skip meals to afford getting my hair done and waiting 6 months to a year to do so again.. which makes it seem pointless at times. Extremely disappointed in the service and the "no accountability" Marlene gave me today. First let…read moreme say I have had my hair done before numerous times!! Has it been awhile yes I am a mom, my kids come first. So on my birthday I decided to come get my hair highlighted, I came in about a few months back to get a haircut and Marlene did a great job! Today it seemed like Marlene was in a rush but I did book my appointment a few days ago, so she should have been made aware that I was coming today. Marlene starts bleaching my hair, once the foils go in I start feeling a burning sensation on my scalp. I know this isn't a normal feeling because like I said, I have had my hair highlighted all throughout my 20's before I was a mom hehe. Well I mention it to Marlene and she then starts to blame it on me and says oh yeah your box color is why. Mind you I have had box color all throughout my late 30's and I have never experience this burning sensation. However, she says it's almost done. Can you just leave it in for a little longer and proceeds to use a blow dryer on cool setting for my scalp. As she's doing that I ChatGPT, what I'm feeling on my scalp. It tells me to have her remove the product immediately as this is a chemical burn. Mind you throughout this whole application I have hair dye on my forehead on my eyelid ( I will be providing pictures ). She did mention that she could take some of the foils out because that's why it's burning, that heat is coming through the foils because they are all bunched together. She proceeds to leave it in a little bit longer, then she washes everything out and proceeds to style. After she's done she's like ok, I'm going to write all this down because your scalp is sensitive on your card for when you come back next time. Then she proceeds to give me a paper card that she filled out for me to sign and just wants me to hurry up and sign it but if you know me, I don't sign anything without reading it first. Sure enough it states that it's a chemical burn and basically she wants me to sign away all liability. Honestly, if she would've just been honest and apologized, heck even gave me a little of discount ( $300 is what you spend at a upscale salon with a haircut and your scalp doesn't burn) . Everyone said why the hell did I pay for service like this but I will say the one plus is the color did come out good, which is why I gave the two stars. I was just extremely disappointed in how the situation was handled and because of it, she lost a customer and is receiving this bad review.
