She is reasonable in her pricing as well, which makes it possible for me to afford to maintain my hair vs skip meals to afford getting my hair done and waiting 6 months to a year to do so again.. which makes it seem pointless at times. Tatiana is so wonderful! I'm 63 years old (gulp!) and my hair is going white and I was so frustrated with it I came to the salon (my first visit) ready to have them chop it all off. I'm so lucky i found this spot so close to home. I've had horrible experiences with my hair because its so thick and full that people CANNOT figure out how to cut my hair without making it choppy. Updated review: I went to Brooke when my hair was an absolute mess. I asked her to help me get back to an ash blonde color. I left the salon as golden as a golden egg from a golden goose. She clearly didn't understand curly hair because my hair had never been frizzier than when I left her chair. She said it was gonna be a work in progress and we had to get my hair healthy so I took it for what it was, and I paid over $300, walked out the door less than happy, but feeling hopeful that I might have someone who could help me get back to the color I want. Fast forward 3 more visits and I'm still not at the color I want. We had a very specific conversation about the color we would use and she even did 3 color strand tests flat on my scalp, right at the root... Which later resulted in scalp burns with scabs all over the strip where she did her color tests. The color she chose was nice, but I asked her very specifically to bring the color throughout my lengths.. you know, leave it at the roots longer and then bring the color throughout so it would match? She said yes, then ended up washing it out before bringing it through... and when I asked why we weren't bringing it all the way through and she said she "didn't want to." She said she wanted to give me a color at the root and let it grow out so that every time I came back she would use the same color and eventually my hair would all be the same color. I told her I didn't want that and I wanted to be one color when I left the salon... but she did what she wanted rather than what I was asking and paying her to do. ... We all know how awkward it can be when your hair is in someone else's hands and you don't want to offend them. I'm sorry, but are you the person who's paying nearly $200 for this or am I? Are you able to charge me more if I want you to do something else? Because I'm pretty sure you can, and I would pay. Because she kept messing up my curls, too, I asked her to straighten my hair when I left the salon so I wouldn't look like a joke again. Well, Jokes on me... this was the worst one yet. Because she only did my roots in a brand new color that didn't match the rest of my color, and then she straightened my hair and cut my bangs in the way that I told her not to... (oh, and she trimmed my hair after straightening it rather than trimming it while it was curly - which is the way I normally wear it and the way that it will naturally fall)... So cutting it while straight is going to leave me uneven... I ended up fixing my own haircut in the bathroom over a trash can with a pair of scissors because one side was longer than the other side. I left the salon looking like the photo attached. It's an absolute joke. When I messaged her later to say I simply wasn't happy, she drunk texted me an essay about how it wasn't her fault. I asked her to set me up with someone else at the salon, she said she would speak to the owner. This was over a week ago and I haven't heard from anyone else and now my future appointments have been canceled by the salon. So guess what? I'm updating my review. Also, completely inappropriate to tell me your "friend is a whore and took a Coke can sized penis and was happy about it "fitting."' SO unprofessional. Curly haired photo is my normal look, straight haired photo is how Brooke left me. Oh, and by the way ... My 1st visit with her was in May and I'm still not ash blonde. Be warned. read more

Found this salon on yelp after searching around online to get my hair done for my birthday. Asked a few friends but ended up deciding on Salon K. So glad I did ! I called earlier in the week to inquire about a balayage and a cut. I spoke to Ashton who gave me a lot of information and suggestions. I don't know anything about hair so she was very nice and helpful. I got an appointment with her later that weekend and fell in love with my hair! Not only was the salon very clean, the staff was professional and friendly. I got a little head massage during my wash which was a plus, and the tone and amount of blonde came out perfect. The curls lasted almost two days but that was expected! I didn't want to get my hair wet knowing I would lose the beautiful job Ashton did. Came down this past Saturday for my mom and Tita. We brought in pictures of the hairstyles they wanted. My mom wanted a U-haircut with long layers and brown highlights. I wasn't happy with the results of my mom's session. I spoke with her hairstylist about fixing it but she didn't follow through. Instead, she concluded the session with a blow-dry. Tita got a haircut from a different stylist. I do like the layers and the volume it gives, but it wasn't the hairstyle she wanted. I believe she wanted the v-haircut. Total spent= $400+. What a find!! I called pre-COVID and was unable to get in since Jenna wasn't taking in any more clients... Then COVID happened. I used to go to Concerto Salon, and it was nice. I just felt that $200 is too much for a trim and toning of my hair. So off I went on my search again. Conveniently enough, after the COVID restrictions were lifted and we were allowed to go inside to get my hair done, I jumped at the opportunity to try to get Jenna again. She answered the phone and I knew that it was a sign!!! She booked me for a Sunday, during Labor Day weekend, which was two days after I had called. Me being ecstatic was an understatement. I was running 10 minutes late, but she was super flexible. When I got to the salon, it was such a fluid experience. The conversation was amazing. The quality of my haircut and color was phenomenal. The drying and styling (I'm sorry I forgot her name ) was perfect. I couldn't have had a better experience. Desperately needed a haircut after 2 years of avoiding the salon. I used to go to Kriza Aveda in Valencia, but that location went out of business.
