Had brought our puppy in the Stay Kennels twice and so far our Dog has always enjoyed her stay and was excited to come back. Definitely recommended as the people are very nice and accommodating especially to our little girl. They give updates once requested as well to help reassure pet owners with photos and videos along with it. Plus points for accommodating me and my husband on short notice when I had to go to the ER due to a medical emergency. Definitely we will board our dog more whenever necessary with them. read more

Having boarded dogs at Stay OKC for a number of years, I was stunned to learn today that my dog (who has stayed there annually for years) is no longer eligible because he is now over the age of 13 years. Their BS excuse is that they do not have night staff. What? Do they think I stay up all night watching my dog because he is getting elderly? Other side of the coin: obviously I would not be so upset about this if I did not think he got excellent care there over the years. But to all of a sudden age him out like old trash is disgusting. read more

The people here are so kind and welcoming. I had to go on a trip out of the country and I even called because I missed my babies so much. They were kind enough to let me know how they were doing and kept me informed. They showed me the area where they would be and they were very organized with everyone having labels on their food. They kept me up to date if they were sad and not eating their food. When I picked them up, I had scheduled a bath and they were all bathed and ready for pickup. All their toys were together in their bags and it was a smooth pick up. I wanted to use them again for Thanksgiving but they already had a waitlist. People know a good place. We have a VERY active Miniature Pinscher - and haven't ever looked into Daycare for him. He was home all summer with us and we just started school back up about a month ago so we started going back to work - which he didn't like so he's changed his attitude. Decided to try out STAY today for a half day just to see if he'd calm down a little. It wasn't the best day to take him - soon after I dropped him off - it started pouring the rest of the day. I just picked him up - and he is covered in mud and they said he had a wonderful time and played with another puppy the whole afternoon. He immediately fell dead asleep in my lap once we reached the car. The staff was very kind and showed me around and called me and my dog by name when I went to pick him up. Highly recommend!! This place is the only place I feel comfortable leaving my dogs. I have two rescues - one of which which gets really nervous and tends to not play well with others. Stay allows me to give them access to a yard without opening them up to a host of other animals that may intimidate them. I am so happy that Stay was recommended to me! I rescued a high energy puppy two years ago and was having to go home at lunch everyday to let her burn off some energy. After being told about Stay, I took her for her 3 day trial package before she was allowed to commit to a 20 day package. She passed and has been going there every since. I try to take her three times a week to let her get her energy out. She is so excited when we get there, loves ALL the employees and is absolutely exhausted when she gets home! Money well spent! I have also used their boarding facilities for when we travel and would recommend it as well. I trust the staff completely! I boarded my 4 dogs, for two days, over Thanksgiving. I was really nervous about it because I've never left my dogs anywhere. We dropped them off Wednesday morning. When I got there we gave them the dogs food (already marked with their names) and a couple toys for them. I specifically told them about the toys and the girl set them off to the side. I filled out the paper work and left feeling a little more at ease. When I got down the road, I realized that they had over charged me by a day. I had called a week before and changed my reservation and I guess it didn't get updated in the computer. I called and got that fixed with no problem and a refund was processed. My mother actually picked up the dogs. When she got there and they brought out the dogs belongings, they brought out a toy that didn't belong to us. My mom told them it wasn't ours and the lady told her that was the only toy in the cage. My mom insisted that it wasn't ours, so the lady went and looked and came back from another room with our toys. Needless to say, the toys that I took to make my dogs comfortable never made it in their cage. Also, we took more than enough food and only a small bag was given back. Overall, I'm just not impressed with kennel as a whole. For the amount of money I paid, I feel like my dogs toys should have atleast been in the cage where they belong. My husband and I inherited two labs when we moved to OKC. It was pure agony thinking about who was going to watch them during Labor Day weekend and beyond as we prepared to travel, but I came across STAY through an internet search. When we first went to visit the facilities there was a staff member stroking a baby kitten in a blanket to keep it warm. Everyone had a task and looked like they enjoyed working with animals. We received a tour of the facilities and felt our dogs would not want to return home! Not only was there a dog run and mini pools for them to play, but also enough space (the facility sits on acres I believe) to walk and super clean kennels that lead to a grassy area. We also saw how they carefully label each dog's food. The price is pretty decent and the service was amazing! I'll be using them again for sure. read more

Best pup facility in the city!!! We travel a ton and wasn't happy with other kennels. Tried this place a year ago and never looked back! Huge indoor/outdoor runs, grass play yards and great staff. Sadly, I will no longer be using STAY and can't continue to recommend them. Firstly, let me state that I have been a loyal STAY client for a few years now. I had always felt that my dogs (3 different dogs throughout our time there) were always safe and secure. Even my old cattle dog that was just cranky and cantankerous before he passed. Recently I feel that the quality of care at STAY has deteriorated though. The last two times we have boarded our newest pup (a Weimaraner) there he has come back very sick. The first time was an upper respiratory infection and a pretty rough cough. I gave STAY the benefit of the doubt and just attributed it to a young dog catching a bug. I was also a little frustrated with the fact that they said they bathed him but he was still muddy and didn't smell very clean when I picked him up. Again, I blew it off as him just romping after his bath This most recent visit was more concerning. The big pup was with them for two weeks while I was out of the country. When I picked him up this time he was a total mess. STAY indicated that he was having trouble with their food and wasn't feeling well. It wasn't just a food issue though. The dog had the worst cough ever and his eyes were so infected up he couldn't even open one all the way. We took him to the vet and he again had a bad upper respiratory infection, bad eye infection, was severely dehydrated and had lost a good percentage of weight. None of this was mentioned or worse noticed by the staff when I picked him up. If I had been forced to travel longer for work or something would they have noticed that my dog was really sick? What would I have come back to if my trip had been a week longer? Also, paid for a bath and a nail trim again and have my doubts that either occurred at this point. His nails were longer and sharper than ever when we picked him up. I hat that such a great place may be going downhill. Maybe they will make corrections. On the plus side, after a couple vet appointments and a two week push of some heavy antibiotics the big pup is doing much better read more

I can't say enough great things about this place. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. When I walked in they let me see where my dog would be staying and go with them to put him in the kennel. They even let me call to check on him and they could tell me exactly what he was doing and who he was playing with in doggie day care. I thought this really showed that they cared and spent time knowing about each dog since there were 100+ dogs there that weekend. The facility was very clean. Each pet has an indoor and outdoor area plus there's lots of extra outdoor areas for the dogs to play. I enrolled my dog in daycare during his stay, so he was one exhausted dog when he got home. This is the place my dog will be staying anytime I have to go out of town. read more

I boarded my dogs here for the first time ever. I was an emotional wreck, but the woman working the front desk was so kind. She was so calming, and so understanding. She explained everyone feels like I do, and assured me that my dogs would be well taken care of and I could check on them at any time. The next day; I took them up on that, and they told me my pups weren't eating much (they tend to do that when I'm away) and said that with my permission, they would put some chicken in their food to encourage them to eat. So sweet!!! Obviously I can't speak for what happened while they were there, since I was gone, but I can say that they didn't want to leave. That while I was so excited to see my dogs, they wanted to see their caregivers from the weekend. I trust my dogs, and my dogs like Stay. read more

We have used a different kennel in the past but chose to try Stay for our last vacation. I was very pleased with our experience. For starters, they were welcoming of our dog and greeted us as soon as we walked in. They were patient while I asked a LOT of questions and let my son walk him back. Our dog has separation anxiety so I was nervous leaving him. The last time we left him at a different kennel, he was taken from us abruptly and came back with scabs on his elbows from staying on the hard ground. I knew he would enjoy the fact that his kennel had a grassy area. Stay didn't charge me extra to medicate him or play with him, and encouraged me to call to check on him as often as needed. When I did call, they were honest about how he was doing and didn't give me the routine "he's fine" answer I was expecting. When we returned home, he was calm and did not appear to be overly anxious. We will be using Stay EVERY time we leave, and may even try the day care! read more

I am new to the area and was looking for a good daycare for my pups! I called this place up after reading some reviews and they were able to see my pup immediately. They have 10 acres where your pup can just run! Also they have ponds as well for them to play in! The staff was super friendly especially Katie. She even let me walk though and see where each of my pups would be. The only complaint i have it that i dropped my pups off for 3 hours and when i picked them up they were so muddy! But they did towel them off for me! And its good to see that my pup got to play in the mud! Because that is always fun! read more

Moved here recently from Kansas City, where there were tons of great options for Doggy Day Care and boarding that had huge amounts of outdoor space for my high-energy husky/lab mix. STAY is the ONLY place I've found with such a huge outdoor yard in OKC. Several other places in town wouldn't even give me tours of their facility before I agreed to bring my dog. After a day at STAY, Dakota instantly gets to the car, lays down and most of the time is asleep before we even make it home. I would say that I have experienced one staffer who is completely rude and when I referred STAY to a friend at work, they called and were so put-off by rudeness that she decided to not even take my word for it. That is one area where they need to improve upon. Otherwise, I have not had any bad experiences-- the other gals and one guy I have interacted with have called Dakota by name and seem to really enjoy their job. Be prepared for your dogs to come back muddy-- as you can imagine with such a large yard that there are muddy spots. I paid for a bath a couple of times before, but found they weren't quite worth the money (its hard work getting soap in to his coat-- not many places take the time) and just bathe him when I get home instead. read more

Stay is a large pet boarding and daycare facility, but it's like Cheer's for our two dogs! Every time we drop them off, they look so sad in the car, but once we enter Stay's doors, our girls don't even look back (yes, it breaks my heart a little). They love Stay and I feel reassured leaving them every time. Stay has smaller and larger kennels called suites, so our dogs are able to board together. Each kennel has an indoor and outdoor space, so the dogs can spend time inside and outside while boarded. Daycare is available Monday-Friday, and I love knowing that exercise is available for them. A couple of add-ons for extra fees are baths and daily walks around the very large property. We love Stay! read more

I originally chose STAY because this daycare had all the amenities my dogs needed. I emailed them about availability for dog daycare. Then, I was promptly told I was going to have to pay full price for my dogs to sit in a kennel all day because they are two Pit Bulls. I was stunned, they didn't even do a behavior test on either of my dogs. I am always wary of daycares that do not behavior test all breeds of all dogs coming in. When I worked at a boarding facility when I was younger, we had a Boxer get severe lacerations and a punctured stomach from getting attacked by a Labrador Retriever. The discrimination from STAY is appalling. I would be more than willing to take my dogs there if they gave my dogs a behavior test but until then I'll have to go elsewhere. Oh, both my dogs are CGC certified, compete in agility, barn hunt and nosework. It's just insulting for people to say that my dogs are aggressive before even meeting them. I have poured thousands (literally) of hours into properly exercising and disciplining my dogs. I don't care if someone thinks they are aggressive after doing a proper behavior test. You would think they would be more concerned about the dogs' safety instead of being politically correct. read more

I was pretty disappointed. I normally take my dogs to Camp Bow Wow, but they were booked so I thought I would try Stay. I picked my dogs up after an 8 day stay, the lady (I believe she was the manager), didn't even bother to say hello. I told her who I was here to pick up, she didn't even call them by name, she just hollered back their cage #. Another lady brought my dogs up along with filthy, muddy blankets. Maybe I just expected them to wash them because Camp Bow Wow does, and for $450, you'd think they would. They forgot to bring everything else up. The manager rang me up and accidentally charged my credit card $4,500 instead of $450 because she was distracted. When I left, nobody bothered to thank me or even acknowledge my dogs. I figure if they are not even kind to my dogs when I am around, I am not comfortable with how they may treat them when I am not. I most definitely will not take them back. read more
