I still wanted to find another. A neighbor told me about Happy Hounds. I'm glad they did, bc Happy Hounds was the best decision. First, the owner herself is extremely hands on in the business. I liked that she was there to greet the customers. In fact any time I've walked in, she's been there. Early AM or for the PM pick up. For our temperament test, we arrived during a shift change. As I watched on the lobby cameras/screens how my girl was doing for her test, I heard the staff exchanging stories of how the day went. ...Which pup was there, and their activities, moods, etc. The whole staff was clearly engaged in the convo, with clear intent to carry the information into their care. When I dropped my girl off for her staycation, I was a mess. It was new spot for her, she looked at me like "why are you leaving me?" Like a good parent, I swiftly walked out with a smile, and only lost it once I got outside and she couldn't see me. The staff was so nice about my clinginess, always gave me a swift response when I asked about my girl. That first night saying she quickly adapted, ate dinner, and fell into the routine quite well. I chose HH because they said they touched base 2x a day. And they did! At another spot we'd tried for a shorter stay, they said they would - but I had to ask and wait for a response to find out anything. But, with HH, I got a pic in the AM and PM. Every time I could see my girl was doing great and having a blast. Which every time my husband would tease, "she looks like she's having a horrible time. All smiles, and happy." I always received a little extra info on her if I asked. Never made me feel like a bug bc I asked. The more days we were away, the less I asked bc I could tell she was happy and just fine. I hesitate in telling too much about HH, because one thing I like about it is that they don't seem to have 100 dogs everyday like some of the other places we checked out. Happy Hounds made it feel like your dog would get personalized attention, and not in this large corral and a sea of furry faces so they could have more $$ per day. I liked seeing posts of days they were already full - and not trying to squeeze in more dogs just to make more money. I want my girl to get interaction, not be a number for the day. The proximity is close for us, so we've been back for day care. The easy drive up pick up and drop off is super nice for the play dates. Their center is SUPER clean. When I picked up my girl after our long vacation, my heart filled with the staff on duty swooning over my girl. She was happy to see momma (me) , but also saying her sweet goodbyes to the staff. I could tell they took care of her the same way I would have. Which is why HH will be the only place we board our corgi girl when need be.

The boarding is also excellent. I also enjoy all the pictures they post and the efforts of their staff to take such great ones and share them! The day before I told her that her car was parked the wrong direction and she might want to move it so she doesn't get a ticket. She stood there and listened, and then just stomped off. Other than standing there and listening, she didn't other wise acknowledge me. I'm tired of being disrespected, having my property abused. I was polite to this women every single time. This clinic does not care about the community, respect and they do not care about the diseased cats and dead kittens that their clinic attracts. They just leave them to suffer in the abandoned house next to their parking lot. I've had to have the city involved multiple times over this and I Will continue to report the sick animals that keep turning up and being neglected. It's very unfortunate that when I attempted multiple times to work WITH the clinic, they not only refused, but tried to push blame back on me. Despite the fact that this issue predates my residence here. And they killed my dog by giving him Unnecessary enimas until he died. Slapped me with a big ol big for it too after they misdiagnosed him and killed him. Now their balcony overlooks his grave. I spent thousands of dollars there just for them to be hateful and abusive to our community. I wanted to move on from this situation, I let it go. I've been kind to the people who park in front of my trash cans, who block up my driveway, prevent my utilities. All from their clinic. But they KEEP doing stuff. No changes, no accountability, no communication, no kindness. If you want me to let it go, stop disrespecting my property. This is ridiculous to continue to be mistreated after we already did a claim with the BBB.

But after the appointment my mother gets multiple calls from Mellissa (the owner) who accused my mother of being rude and yelling at her for not waiting in her car. She also yelled at my mother for not tipping for the service when the service was $65 and she was just getting a nail trim and the dogs coat shaved off and trimmed around his face. She called my mother a bitch, and multiple other names. My mother finally got fed up hearing the lady yell so she stated "thats fine, I will take my dog somewhere else to be groomed from now on" and hung up, the lady then persisted to call and text her calling her more names and harassing my mother. I called to understand what was going on, because i was literally on the phone with her for 2 hours and not once was she rude or was asked to wait in her car. The lady at the front desk actually was laughing at something with my mother while she was there. I let the owner know this, and she stated I was lying and started to harass me as well. I would never recommend anyone to go to this establishment unless you want to get lied on and constantly harassed. I have let me owner know if she contacts me or my family again than I will get the police involved and file harassment charges.

It had been about 10 years since I had to board any of my pets. We have always been lucky enough to…read morehave a family friend come take care of them if we were gone overnight, but since we were going to be gone longer than usual this time, I had to find somewhere I actually felt comfortable leaving them. I spent a couple of weeks researching places around us, reading Google reviews, looking at websites, etc. This facility is a little pricier than some of the others I looked at, but price wasn't my main deciding factor. I wanted somewhere I genuinely felt comfortable leaving my dogs and felt confident they would be well taken care of, kept busy, comfortable, and hopefully not stressed the entire time we were gone. After our experience, the little bit of extra cost was absolutely worth it. After I finally decided on Pawparazzi, I created an account and started getting everything set up. I emailed them with a few questions, and not even an hour later, on a Sunday, they had responded and gotten both dogs scheduled for their assessment that following Tuesday. I was honestly impressed with how quickly they responded, especially on a weekend, and everyone I spoke with was friendly and helpful. The day I brought them in for their assessment made me feel even better about my decision. It wasn't just a quick "okay, we'll take them from here" type of thing. They took the time to talk to me and get to know them, then took each dog back individually. What really surprised me was that neither one hesitated to go with them. I work from home, so these two are with me all day and normally think they need to know where I am at all times. While we were gone, I received the evening updates I had signed up for with pictures and little report cards about what they had done that day. I loved getting to see them enjoying their activities and getting some one-on-one attention. I also messaged a few times while we were away and always received a response pretty quickly. We picked them up at 8:30 Labor Day morning. Their baths had been done the night before, and I was honestly impressed that they didn't come home smelling like they had been at a kennel. They were clean and smelled great. I had also asked for their nails to be Dremeled and buffed really well. My father-in-law has very thin skin and is on blood thinners, so a dog paw to the arm can cause some serious battle wounds. They understood the assignment. Their nails were short and SO smooth. I've had their nails done at other grooming places, and they've never gotten them this smooth. Hopefully my father-in-law won't be rocking hot pink tie-dyed Band-Aids on his arms the next time he visits. Pickup was also really easy. We didn't wait long for them to come out, and all of their stuff was already together and ready to go. One of the biggest things I noticed was their behavior afterward. They were obviously excited to see us, but they weren't completely wound up or acting crazy. They're normally rambunctious in the car, but even the ride home was pretty calm. Once we walked through the door, they got comfortable, curled up on the couch with us, and were perfectly happy spending the day being lazy and getting snuggles. I really think all of the activities and attention helped keep them busy while we were gone and wore them out before we picked them up. I couldn't be happier with where I chose to leave my fur babies. They were happy to see us, but they didn't seem stressed or desperate to get out of there. After being so nervous about boarding them for the first time in about 10 years, that alone told me I had made the right choice. We will definitely be back!

From the friendly customer service and the attentiveness of the staff, to the cleanliness of the building (as much as you can be with 4 legged friends) and the extra caution they take for caring for the pups...this place has never disappointed me! They have cameras for you to watch your pup while you're away. It's fun watching them play with their friends and follow around the staff in the kennels. My pup has had play times, been boarded here and used their groomers. All services have been good. If I just say "Pawparattzi" my pup gets excited to go see his friends! I almost hate giving this review because I don't want others to know about this gem; however, I do want them to stay in business. So try them out but make sure you don't take my pup's spot!
