I recently went to Broadway Imaging Center (BIC) for my second mammography screening, which was a pleasant and positive experience. The BIC staff was quite courteous, promptly checking and welcoming me in. This place is awful. I come here because of insurance exclusively. The wait is long and arbitrary, they cancel appointments last minute and most importantly they give inaccurate medical information. I had an ultrasound of my ovaries done here - the numbers they gave for their size would have made me post-menopausal. I went to a real fertility doctor, they did an ultrasound and found that my ovaries are normal, healthy and pre-menopausal. He looked at the report from this place and said he could not understand how they came up with those numbers. Obviously this caused me significant emotional distress in the interim. Right now I'm here and have just been told my nine am appointment isn't going to happen until ten am - funny thing is I actually asked to be scheduled for ten am and the lady at the front desk told me that was too late and I had to come in at nine. What a joke. Update: they called to get me to change this review by telling me I'm wrong about all the above. Lol. Not exactly "how to win friends and influence people". When I get accurate medical information in a timely manner maybe I'll consider updating the review. If they spend half as much time examining my ultrasound as they spend examining yelp I should be fine. read more

Only come here if it's your last option. The service is rough for sure. But worst off, their billing department has no idea how to bill insurance. Their online payment portal is broken, as is their contact-us form. I came here for scans a year ago, was battling stage 2 bladder cancer. Hit my out of pocket minimum very early in the year. They could have reached out to my insurance at any time and been paid in full. But only now that we're in 2022 and my deductible has reset am I hearing about outstanding charges from their billing department (so disorganized - my god). They could get a 12 year old to properly update their website to accept modern payment methods like every other provider in LA. But do they? read more

If I could leave 0 Star for the front desk lady I would. That lady is SO rude does not even look up when you talk to her or ask her questions. In this crazy time of COVID situation gave patient appointment and said for the specific procedure cannot do walk-in. Came in on time with my grandpa that is old. There are already 10 people in the waiting area sitting close to each other not even 6 feet apart. No temperature checking at all. Waited 30 mins asked them if they will call him in because it was cold in the waiting area and his appointment was at 12. The lady does not even look up just said "soon". I asked how soon because it's already 30 min. She said I don't know. I asked again the appointment was at 12. Another guy from back jumped in conversation we had an issue with the previous patient so we are an hour behind. I said okay I understand it happens but wouldn't have been better if you would call and let us know ?! And not have patient wait this long considering the COVID situation! He answered: Patient did not have COVID. They were not even listening to my point and I again asked the lady how long he has to wait she said 20-30 more minutes. And she goes: You can wait outside. So rude and so unprofessional. She could have least explained to us " we have an issue it might take 45 min to call you in" when we walked in. The staff in the back are nice but this lady in front Desk is not happy ever. She does not look up to talk to you. And talks so low and you feel like you bother her when you ask question. Another older gentleman was there trying to explain himself with very broken English, the lady speaks Armenian. She was not trying to help the gentleman at all. She's just rude. I was a little hesitant after reading all the reviews but when I came to this imaging center everyone starting from the front office staff to the tech that did my scan were so wonderful. There was a mix-up with my authorization and they called my doctor and took care of it right on the spot. I don't think that these reviews are a clear display of how wonderful these people treated me. Anoush and Maral were especially helpful when I was very nervous about the whole process. Terrible customer service and the lack of empathy. After calling and being told that a chest x-ray can be done by walking in and no appointment required, we proceeded to go in. My father was in visible agonizing pain. Bad enough that three of the patients waiting were trying to give advice and struggling to see him in pain. For a STAT chest x-ray which took 5 minutes to complete he WAITED OVER 1.5 HOURS. It was brought to the staff multiple times and instead of trying to expedite the 5 minute exam they said he needs to wait as he is after 2 more patients. After 5 patients were taken in, I expressed my disappointment and only then did they say he is next. This imaging center should be avoided and I too would have gone somewhere else if I knew how terrible they are. The one star goes to the radiology technician who was actually very kind. read more

When I took my mom there they had a power outage and send us back home telling us that they will call for a replacement appointment. They never called. I call them after 5 days for a new appointment. Last week, I sprained my ankle coming down a flight of stairs. I really didn't think it was a big deal but then I saw the swelling and bruising. I had scans done at Broadway Imaging in the past so I called to see if they could do a quick X-ray just to make sure nothing was broken. They accept walk-ins for X-rays so I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I quickly got my report and thank god I went because I had a fracture and needed a cast ASAP. Horrible service, the receptionists only care about chatting around, kept me waiting for over an hour and a half and still wasnt seen by the ultrasound technician. I definitely dont want to come back here again, its clean looking but the receptionists definitely ruined my time here. Itd be best to focus on the patients rather than small chats especially when theyre standing right infront of you. Super disappointed. read more
