Great butcher in Astoria with fantastic customer service. Came to get some kabobs and meat for stew. Picked out a piece of chuck and they were kind enough to cut it to size. $1.50 per kabob is a steal.

I love this butcher. They have pretty much everything you could ever want and if they don't they can make it for you if you call ahead of time! Super friendly service which is quick and efficient. You can also get ground meat from anything you want. I let them ground my burger meat or for meatballs. Its amazing!

My beloved Lora and I decided to go to my friend's butcher shop. I was truly impressed by my friend Yanni for I did not know how much he knew. You see my beloved is a Michelin Star trained chef by the whose who in French cuisine and also had an Italian restaurant up in Provincetown, Cape Cod for over 20 years. Anyhow to fully gauge on the experience click on the YouTube channel to see his handiwork and how my beloved prepared a standing rib roast. Will definitely be going to him again. Thank you Yanni. The best butcher in NYC hands down!! Whether need your annual lamb and magiritsa or souvlakia, it's the place to go. Sure, their prices are slightly higher than the rest, but the quality is unparalleled!! I don't shop from anywhere else and I drive all the way from westchester to shop! The guys are quick and know their stuff! Visit and get your meats with no hesitation. Best butcher in Astoria amongst many!!!

Although I wasn't for sale when I walked into the meat market, there were plenty of other hunks of meat to devour. Upon walking in I snagged a ticket to wait in line...didn't know this was a thing and couldn't believe the amount of people in the shop for 9:30AM! Waited a fair amount of time for my number to be called. Maybe 15 minutes? They have 8+ workers in there not including the staff taking boxes in and out of the joint. Any who, I'm eager to dive into my brisket that did not cost as much as I had intended. Only $18.00 for 2LBS. Good deal for a sexy piece of meat. I'd cost a little more according to my better half. Overall, I'll be back for more meats. I recommend getting in early so you don't have to wait in line and know what you want before you step into the meat house.

A must for quality meat. This place is a staple. They don't make them like this anymore.

Ask the Community - International Meat Market

    Is the beef grass-fed?

Some of the beef beef is grass-fed (less flavorful and more expensive) and some isn't. They can order virtually any type of meat that you want if you purchase more than a steak.

Can I purchase a gift certificate on line?

I highly doubt it. This is strictly a restaurant depot type establishment. Just food, supplies, and anything you may need for a restaurant/ personal affair.

When I was in the Astoria store earlier this month, I overheard an obviously epicurean gentleman who spent some time in Austria (with presumably some appreciation for well-crafted old world charcuterie) share that he had come down from Boston and made a special trek out here to experience this Mecca of meats in person. I myself came all the way from the distant shores of NJ that day, enduring horrendous holiday traffic down FDR Dr. and across Queensboro Bridge, but likewise, finally made this pilgrimage after I became addicted to their superlative pork cracklings (chicharron / čvarci / jumări), which is the best on the planet! It's weighed by the pound and the prime time to get it fresh & hot out of the fryer is late morning, though best to come earlier on the weekend. 90% of the products are made in-house, and one can find a dizzying array of cured and smoked meats, multiple varieties of bacon, prosciutti (including hard-to-find duck and lamb!), sausages, salami, pâtés, purées, cheeses, steaks and chops, as well as pickled and jarred foods, canned delicacies, and shelves of dried goods and snacks from Europe. The founders came over from the Balkan region and likewise the counter staff are well-versed in multiple tongues (Serbo-Croatian, Romanian, Hungarian, as well as Spanish) and can fluidly navigate between ethnic product names according to what the customer is asking for. The staff are welcoming, warm, and helpful, and will offer you samples of everything to try. We stocked up on our favorites and also picked up some new goodies: - Chicharrones (always!) - Tarska bacon (a house speciality) - Rolled garlic bacon - Some other bacon (cos yes it's the land of bacon galore) - Duck prosciutto - Various sausages - Goose & pork liver pâté - Liver - Szalonna (pork fat) - Brânză de burduf, a handmade cheese that's a traditional salty Romanian cheese originated from Transylvania. (Muncan is very popular with the local Romanian community) I've always said Queens is foodie heaven and is worth a trip from the boroughs if not the tri-state, and Muncan is definitely a destination stop!

I've been coming in here since I've lived in Astoria (that's almost 15 years) and every time I visit I find something new to try. Their heroes are delicious - the Italian sub has everything you could want on it, the eggplant parm hero is big enough to feed a small army. Service is friendly even when it's packed. Sorriso is an Italian deli offering tons of Italian products, specialty meats, homemade mozzarella, sandwiches, snacks, and more! We were in the mood for some delicious Italian subs and came here to satisfy that craving. I got the Italian Turkey Combo but swapped out the Salami & Ham for Roast Beef since I don't eat pork. The turkey and roast beef were sliced fresh onto the bread, the toppings were all super fresh and added so much depth to the sandwich. I will say the bread was a bit hard and didn't seem like it was made fresh that day. The sandwich also could've used some mayo and pickles. I added some mayo when I got home and got a side of pickles which were actually outstanding! They were briny, salty, and crisp. It added a nice texture and flavor the sandwich was lacking. As we were finishing up, the worker stopped by and offered us some complimentary Fresh Mozzarella which melted in my mouth immediately. I would absolutely come back for that and try out their other speciality items. Great try!
