I found my vehicle had been ran thru and my personal items taken , I Phone, ( I filed stolen after tracking it there was turned off and still not return!) and money, and multiple odds and ins. The back seat had tire just thrown in car . Everything just gone thur. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone not even my worse enemy. I have dealt with many towing agencies and by far Broadway Towing is most definitely the worse!! read more

Tom at Broadway Wrecker was fantastic. My car was having issues with the shifting cable and the transmission lever, but all I knew was that the car didn't shift out of drive when I put it in park. I called for a tow to get it to a service shop, but Tom arrived very quickly and looked at the problem. He tried a couple different things, but ended up being able to shift my car into park and reattach the shifting cable to the transmission lever - fixing the problem. But he went above and beyond after that by trying to figure out how to keep the cable on the lever. When that didn't work, he explained in patient detail to my husband and I exactly what piece was missing and what we should do to find the part (for the lowest cost possible). He was also funny and lighthearted, which helped so much! For all of this I just had to pay the small service fee. Thanks Tom! read more

With over 50 years in the towing business Broadway Wrecker is the trusted source for all you towing and related needs. We tow anything from motorcycles to heavy trucks including tractor trailers. We provide battery service, tire changes, and gas deliveries. If your keys become locked inside your car, we'll retrieve them. And make us your second call (after the police) when you're involved in and accident. With response times of less than 15 minutes in most cases we're always there when you need us.

History

Established in 1958.

Broadway Wrecker began as Broadway Shell back in 1958. The original location and the name came from the fact the the towing business was operated out of a filling and service station, (a Shell Gas station) on Broadway street in downtown Jefferson City, MO. From there the business grew because it's ideals were grounded in providing personal service at a fair price. The tradition of trust has developed over the years and we've moved a few times. The first being a 1978 move to 1440 Jefferson Street, (Jefferson Street Conoco) and then in 2004 the business split in two. With the changing times Broadway Shell was separated from the gas station/service station business and became Broadway Wrecker, a towing and recovery business. This change came with a move to 2503 East McCarty, Jefferson City, MO. A new owner in 2007, Don Archer, then moved the business again to it's current location. With more space and more security Broadway Wrecker is now located at 5321 Business 50 West,

Meet the Business Owner: Don A.

Don Archer was born in 1967 in Chilicothee, MO a son of Donald Sr. and Judith Elaine Archer. The family moved to Jefferson City, MO in 1973 where Don went to school and graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1985. He then attended Lincoln University and Tarkio College in the Northwestern part of the state. While North, Don met Brenda Sutton who would become his wife in 1988. Together they moved back to the Jefferson City area and started a family and their business. Now with the children grown Don spends most of his time working on his business. Don's a regular contributor to "American Towman Magazine" and "Tow Industry Week Online" and has written and sold a few books on towing, including "How To Make Money In the Towing Business" and "How To Price Your Towing Services And Profit".

The outer is wearing out much faster than the inner. These tires should last over 60k. DO NOT GET YOUR CAR ALIGNED THERE. I will not do business with them ever again. Edit: I got a 2nd opinion from another alignment shop in town and the alignment on my car appeared to be correct. I'm not sure what caused the uneven wear, especially on the outside of the tires. I've updated my review to 4 stars and will continue get my vehicles serviced there.
