Love, love, love! It helped that a Prince song was playing when we walked up. It is across the bridge away from the main drag. There is something for everyone. We picked strangas & do not have any regrets. Pretty comparable to gyros in Greece. They are extremely generous with tzatziki sauce. It is crowded but we were able to find a seat no problem. Picnic table seating makes you feel like a part of the party. So much fun.

this review is for rort in particular. the service was friendly and quick, but the whole idea of eating these smorrebrod with your hands... it feels like a trap to look foolish. i bit in, my hands already a mess from the toppings and sauces, and the fish wouldn't come apart easily, leaving me with the flash choice to either eat it all in one go, or abandon my attempt and spit it out. i ate it all at once. it was a mess. i wouldn't go here. the ingredients were quality, but you can find cheaper, less gimmicky smorrebrod lots of places.

Just a 10-minute walk across the bridge from the bustling Nyhavn area, you'll find a vibrant outdoor food haven offering some of Copenhagen's best bites. Set by the water, this lively space is packed with top-notch food options. We indulged in the famous tacos from Sanchez and delicious open-faced sandwiches from Rort--everything was fantastic! The salmon one was my most favorite. I highly recommend skipping the more touristy spots in Nyhavn and heading here instead. It's a relaxed, self-serve setup with food trucks and plenty of seating to chill. In the evenings, they even have a DJ and host various events, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy great food.

Fun open air food court on the canal with a number of options from pasta to burgers to Indian food to Greek to plant based to fish and chips or mussels and fries to bahn mi and fried chicken. There's basically something here for everyone. There are also various stands where you can get a beer, wine or mixed drink, so I imagine it gets pretty fun at night. When we arrived there was a DJ playing some music and a mixed size crowd. It was a nice way to grab a bite, hang out and listen to some music.

As someone that loves food, this is a great place to walk around and explore some options. Oink Oink caught my attention as I was entering the building after seeing a bunch of people walk out with a pulled pork sandwich, or burger as they call it at the stand. I got in line as soon as I found Oink Oink. I went mid-day on a Saturday and there were a lot of people. The line at Oink Oink goes relatively fast seeing as they only have three options on the menu: pulled pork burger, pulled pork burger with fries, and a pulled pork and slaw box (basically the burger just without the bun). Just the burger will run you 80 kr. (same with the box) and with fries 100 kr. I went with the burger only to save room for other things. The bun itself is soft and toasted. The pulled pork was very tender and well seasoned and the BBQ sauce was sweet and tangy. They add some simple slaw which is perfect for not overpowering the the sauce or pork, just adding some crunch and lightness. Also added is some quick pickled cucumbers, adding just enough sweetness. They'll ask you if you want to add chili, say yes. The chili adds a nice bite. If you get everything in one perfect bite, it's simply delicious. Definitely worth a try if you like pulled pork.

The pulled pork burger looked and was pretty damn tasty. It was about 80 DKK with just the burger a la carte. There was a chockful of meat on the burger, so the bun to meat ratio was more than ideal here. There was also more cole slaw than I was used to on a pulled pork burger but nothing to complain about. The only problem I have was I did eat a part of the pulled pork with NO BBQ sauce, and it was dry and tasteless. So I'm guessing what even makes this good isn't just the meat, really, but the BBQ sauce. A little messy to eat, but by Copenhagen standards, I would come here again and enjoy it just as well.

First let's call it by its rightful name: Polse ("pool-seh") translates to sausage, but what it really signifies here is hot dog. Copenhagen, like New York City, is a great street-dog town. Now, let's talk about the variety: bacon hot dog, veggie, Umami, pork, roasted hot dog Then, the toppings: chopped onions, fried onions, mustard, mayo, ketchup, cucumbers Where to find it? Metro stations, street, kiosks. My friends, do you want to see a happy tourist.. the one with a mustard ketchup mustache, dripping down the chin! This little kiosk serves the most delicious hot dogs and vegan is on the menu! The staff are sweet and personable. They take the hot dog business very seriously, as they should! "Hanegal refers to a Copenhagen-based food company specializing in organic products, and it is also the name of a specific organic hot dog stand (often associated with DØP) located at Købmagergade 52A, Rehlat. The bread is whole grain, from slowly raised dough and topped with linseeds. Hanegal sausages are a key ingredient in DØP's gourmet organic hot dogs, which are sold from stands near the Round Tower and Church of the Holy Ghost. No, seriously bro - what's an Asian girl got to do here to have an easy access to those divine baos? I have tried baos here and there, but MAOBAO wins the fluffiest bao competition hand down although the fillings can be better varied, but I ain't complaining here. With the price of 60 kr for two baos, it's a little bit steep everywhere else but Denmark (well, maybe not Norway but I am not even sure if there are baos up there in the arctic circle) but I would definitely shut up and let them take my money. For now, I would just have to stalk them on social media to find out where they're going to appear next.
