I played this course on Wednesday. And I thought I would give myself 48 hours to sleep it over before I write something negative. But I can't hold it back anymore. 48 hours later I am still pissed off. I played an excellent round, however I am certain it would have been better if it weren't for the terrible terrible management of this course. I started playing the north course with a mate I haven't seen in years. 1st hole, I'm about to pitch into the green, but wait, where is the flag? Ahhhhh grounds keeper forgot to put it in. Second hole. same situation for birdie. Grounds keeper is rolling the greens in his cart, sees my mate and I, drives off, oh and guess what? NO FLAG IN THE HOLE!!!!! Hole #3, I won't even say anything, because you could probably guess where the flag was. That's right. So I got irritated. I called the clubhouse . They sent out one of their workers to us only to tell us, "we need you guys to go to the east or south course." Fine. We go to the south course. Groove was fine. Finished it. Figured hey, let's head back to the north course, maintenance should be done. Which it was. Holes 7,8,9 just take a guess what I came across? NOT A SINGLE FLAG ON THEIR 2 TIER OVERSIZED GREENS!! WOW!!!! I left. Pissed Off instead of relaxed. Where was my compensation for doing what the grounds keeper should be doing??? Broken arrow, if/When you read this; please let me know when I can pick up my check for doing the labor your grounds keepers should have done? Sidenote: I live on a prestigious golf course in lemont, and I wake up every morning at 5AM because the grounds keepers are out there HARD AT WORK, making sure they get the job done before the first person steps up to the tee box. read more

What a dump, do not go here. Majority of the greens are just dirt, no grass at all. Used to be a nice place but it's really a dog track now. Bunch of high school kids running the place. The name really fits the place because it's definitely broken. read more

Course is playable but staff was incredibly bad, felt like we were interrupting the young lady trying to get something to eat/drink. She went out of her way to insure our disappointment. Do not play here right now. Normally I visit this course often throughout the season. Played here yesterday and at least 75% of the greens are burned out and are mostly just dirt. They didn't mention anything to us about this when we booked it and still charged full price to play. Greens were borderline unplayable, extremely disappointing. read more

I don't even know where to start. We had our wedding here in September 2013. This was SUCH a great experience. We worked with Pete during our entire planning process. He was extremely easy to reach and communicate with and very flexible. We even changed our date and he was totally accommodating. We had a cocktail hour before our reception - I would recommend the outdoor portable bar as well! So many people loved it. From what I hear, the appetizers were great! (I was too busy taking pictures to have any!) We picked the shrimp, stuffed mushrooms, meatballs and the veggie/cheese plate. For dinner we added the soup (Italian Wedding - excellent!) as well as a salad. We chose the plated duo of chicken and beef with potatoes and green beans. We had SO many compliments from this. Pete was great the whole night. He was there whenever myself or my husband needed him - he communicated with our DJ and photographer the whole night - and everything went off without a hitch! I would recommend this to anyone getting married in the south burbs! read more

Had an outing with some buddies at this golf course. The course is nice. Pretty standard stuff. Just a little above the quality of a municipal golf course. The staff was friendly and helpful. The driving range is a little small but at least they have one. The only thing that was a bit off, for me, was that in the back nine you have to keep track of which flags you are going for on the greens. There are two colored flag sticks - red and blue (i think) on the same green. The greens are pretty big but I found it annoying that there are two flag sticks on the same green. Some of us got confuse a few times on which flags we were aiming for. I'm an average golfer that shoots in the upper 80s. I found the course to be pretty challenging. Our golf group tried to use Golf coupons from group golfer today at the course and we were turned down the course stated that we had more than eight players and they considered us an outing which is bullshit and they would not allow us to use the coupon they would not even give us credit for the amount we paid with the coupon I would encourage all golfers not to attend the golf course as their attitude over there was very unprofessional and arrogant about this coupon situation read more

Went there for a wedding reception. The manager, Pete, was very friendly and accomadating to everyone. The staff and servers were very friendly. Started dinner with soup and then salad. The choices for dinner were stuffed chicken and pot roast. Excellent! It is my understanding that the cost per plate was quite reasonable. All in all an excellent choice for a small or medium size wedding!!!! read more

Had a problem today 7/05/21. Shot 40 on the front 9, my wife shot 37. For some reason the Red headed counter man, (Manager? Who knows!) felt it necessary to move us to the North 9. This proved to be the "family"" 9" a beat up series of holes with greens pock marked from unrepaired approach shots washed out sand traps and fairways littered with the detritus of major fireworks from the night earlier. It was disappointing to two CDGA players looking to report a good score! read more

Quick run down: -Affordable via Golf Now -Amazing grass and condition -Not too far off of I-355 -hard to get a rain check out of them. I was able to play a round at Broken Arrow thanks to Golf Now. When I pulled into the course, I knew just by looking at the at the hole on my left that it was gonna be a great course. The course is kept in amazing condition. The grass was well trimmed and the greens were up to par. They have a 2-hole system, one red and one blue. It was my first time playing there so they recommended that we play the red flags. Unfortunately, it started raining a bit when we were on the 8th, so we grabbed cover under some trees. The rain eventually stopped and we continued to play. On the 12th hole, it started to rain again and we decided to go grab a rain check. The only reason I am not giving Broken Arrow a 5-star rating is because of my experience dealing with the rain check. When I went to the pro shop to deal with the rain problem, it was a bit hard to deal with this issue. it seems to me that some golf courses just don't give out rain checks very easily. I had to explain that I didn't get the full experience that I payed for and wanted a prorated refund. I eventually was able to get one. Nonetheless, the staff seem like great people. I will definitely be returning to Broken Arrow Golf Club as they provide a very well kept golf course. read more

Granted we played after rain. But this course was so disorganized and unprofessional. The grass was longer than any course I'd played. Bunkers completely flooded and unplayable. On the card they have 3 pin positions but "we don't do that anymore". Which would help me be a better player and know if I'm approaching a front middle back pin. Waited for 5 minutes before I could buy drinks at the halfway house because no cart girl or water jugs on the course. They do not have to worry about my money coming back because nothing was done here to make my free time and passion enhanced. read more

I am attaching an email I sent to the General Manager, the Director of Golf, and the course Superintendent after a recent round at Broken Arrow as my review. I delayed posting this because I wanted to give them time to respond but not one of the above contacted me. I am writing this to let you know what our experience was like at Broken Arrow yesterday. Earlier this week I called and arranged a tee time for Wednesday, May 1st, at 11:24. When we checked in at about 11:10 we were told that our reservation was for 7:00am and we were shown as "no shows" on the sheet but they could "squeeze us in". We were directed to the East course where there were already three foursomes on the first tee and there was a lot of confusion as to who would play where and when. The starter then directed us to the North course and told us we would play North to East. The condition of the course, especially the North, was the worse I have seen in several years of playing there. The tees were overgrown with weeds and the traps were in horrible shape, basically unraked craters. To make matters worse, play was agonizingly slow. After the third hole, we had to wait on just about every shot. I called the clubhouse and was told that a ranger would be right out, but I later learned that there were no rangers but for the starter. We completed our round in just under five hours. After we finished, I asked the starter what the problem was and he said, "we had a group of 30 show up that we thought were coming tomorrow and they all play five hour rounds." The weather was beautiful but the terrible course conditions and the unbelievably slow pace of play made for a frustrating and aggravating experience. I don't think we'll be back for awhile. read more

I have played this course 10 other times this year and cannot believe the issues today brought. Start off with no water on the course at all with 90 + degree heat. Then add no ranger and a useless and near invisible beverage cart and you have a disaster. Course condition was good, so this is purely service based. Three nines and an outing, but only one beverage cart? Needs to be addressed.. read more

After 3 holes, our four some caught up to a FIVE some. After waiting for three more holes, we called the pro shop to complain. They gave us a lame excuse that " we know who they are, they are members". We were forced to follow them the entire 18 holes because of the poor management of this golf course. I recently attended a baby shower here and the clubhouse was turned into an intimate space despite its large size. The food was done by the resident chef. It was Mexican themed and delicious. Everyone was talking about how good the food was for being a golf club house. He also add the cake which was one of the best cakes I have ever had, light, creamy and needed seconds like everyone there. I would definitely have an affair here if the chef is available. The club house has a large bar and the waitstaff was good. read more

I give this course 3 stars. Overall, the layout is nice and fairways are good! Greens are well maintained. Where It fails is the rough! It's absolutely too thick and needs to be better maintained & trimmed. According to landscapers, they need a new cutter and the one they have isn't good enough to cut. Second point on landscapers, they have no concept of space or course etiquette. They continued to cut as loud as they could be while on multiple tee boxes. What really pissed me off was one continued to cut while things were flying all over us and when asked like WTF! No apology, no idea he was doing something wrong! Played this course today and had an enjoyable round. Course is in great shape... only suggestion would be to add about an inch of white sand to each sand trap... It would make course look that much better and would greatly improve the sand play. read more

Where do I begin?!?! Let's start with Pete being the most flexible, understanding and fun guy to work with. And I might add that we were his first Civil Union Ceremony! Our ceremony was on a Saturday in September 2013 and we couldn't have imagined it any better. We had visited other locations prior to Pete at Broken Arrow and walked out of each one shaking our heads in disgust. I get that a civil union is "uncomfortable" for some people but don't judge me for choosing who I love. Pete was awesome, didn't judge us and we cannot thank him enough for that. After our visit to Broken Arrow, we knew that was the location for us. More importantly, Pete was the perfect guy for us! The planning process was flawless, Pete was prompt with responses to phone calls and the staff was great as well. He helped coordinate the linens - which matched perfectly! The food was perfect! From what our guests told us - the cocktail hour, cheese & veggie platters were refreshing on the warm September afternoon. We went with serving our food family style in which our guests continually complimented us. Beginning with a house salad followed by beef & chicken with the roasted potatoes, green beans and pasta with marinara sauce. We also threw Pete a curve ball as a couple of my family members are gluten free eaters. He was 100% accommodating to them and they thoroughly enjoyed the food too! Pete helped us customized our ceremony that we had outside at the golf course as well. We had a beautiful arch with flowers that matched our color scheme. The day off the ceremony - Pete helped shuttle guests one by one (sometimes two) from their cars to the location. When it was my turn to head out, my bridal party had already departed so he held my lip gloss and phone until later that night. My partner said he did the same for her. Something else that I would like to add - the golf course was beautiful for pictures. We were able to go around on the course and capture some great photos. Pete let us "scout" out the course a few weeks in advance so we could let our photographer know where we wanted to go to save us some valuable time. Another add on is that Pete found ways to make the older guests feel comfortable. Some of my family have physical challenges and Pete problem solved with us to make it as easy as possible for them. Family and friends are still talking about and complimenting us on everything that day. Most of them saying it was the best wedding/civil union they have ever been to. Honestly, we owe those compliments to Pete! Pete is wonderful, Broken Arrow was perfect and neither one of us turned into Bridezilla's!! It doesn't matter who you choose to love - Pete will help you out every step of the way! read more

I've never once had a problem bringing a cooler out onto a golf course. Watch out for Jim. He'll put the kabosh on that real quick.

Our eighth grade banquet was held at Broken Arrow in May. We organized our event with the help of Rick Jerding, restaurant manager. The facility was lovely, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service impeccable. Any and all questions we had were promptly answered, and a few logistical issues we had were easily solved by the staff. I have to write a review on Broken Arrow because I had been told that it was ok but not great by some people when I moved here. I decided to try it myself for the first time this past fall for both golf and for dinner and LOVE IT. The staff on the golf side were great, I had a very friendly kid carry and clean my clubs and the staff was very helpful and nice. The course itself was in great shape, carts were new and clean and the GPS system they have is the best I have ever used. After golf we stayed in the bar for dinner and drinks, our bartender I believe his name was Dan was a very nice guy and the food wad very good and the price was even better (compared to most golf courses I have played before). I will be going back for sure. read more
