Decent prices and never crowded which I appreciate. One major issue we ran into were dirt bikers on the White Course. These little cretins were jumping the trap next to 7 green and wiped out in the trap. They just hung out in front of the green as we were hitting up. They cursed us out as we were approaching and stole one of our balls. I know this must be hard to manage but if they can't stop this nonsense I won't be back. read more

Loved this course. Great conditions good greens nice fairways good pace. Shot 78 here first time, it's a hard course. You have to place all your drives. I like the space between holes, had a very nature feeling like it was built to preserve wildlife. I've played all over Chicago and I think this ones my favorite. Played blue and white read more

We are a ladies league and we live here in Carillon and we are being treated very poorly. This golf league has been here for 20+years. Our tee time has been at 10:00 forever and now this year we have been moved to 11:00 to accommodate the MEN!! It was busy today. Hardly any extra carts and we were told to wait bc the men needed them. Chris is so rude to all of us women and never says hi or smiles! All of the ladies are complaining but I took the initiative in writing this. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED on how we are being treated!!!!!!! Chris shouldn't be working with the public!! Don't ever choose to golf here. Worse decision we ever made. Kicked off the course at 7pm when there was no one behind us all because ranger wanted to get off early on Friday night. (Daylight till 930pm. Ranger said manager told him to do that and when we asked manager why in clubhouse she denied everything and blamed it in ranger. Then when ranger came in they threw each other under the bus. I was embarrassed for them and refused when they insisted we finish our 9 holes. Worst run course I've ever seen and I've played at many shaky places. I'd avoid it at all costs until it's under new ownership that I'd bet won't be too long after the disaster we witnessed. Was here for an event a few weeks ago. The food is full of MSG and preservatives. The bread served was stale. The salad was swimming in salad dressing. The service is friendly but lacks quality and pro-activeness. Such as making sure the water on the table was full, that guests had cups for the water, that plates were cleared away in a timely manner etc. The tent is graying and dirty, the fake plants are coated in a gray dust and topple over, and there were used cups in the planters from previous events, and the floor needs a good vacuuming with a vacuum that actually works. A day or two of work reinvigorating the tent would do worlds of wonder for this place. read more

I booked a tee time on golf now and some how Golf Now didn't communicate with the golf course and didn't see that there was an outing and I couldnt play when and where I was supposed to.! The nice lady in the club house, which I believe was the manager called Golf Now to see what went wrong and help me get out to play. She then was able to get me out at the exact time I was supposed to play but just a different starting course. The lady was very friendly and helped me in a very timely manner. I'm being refunded from Golf Now and was able to play all the courses I wanted to. Overall great experience and great staff on hand to accommodate my needs. The course was in pretty good shape and will be back to play again in the future!!! read more

My husband and I just had our wedding there and I cannot say one bad word about this venue! Brittany and Holly are incredible wedding day coordinators. They took care of every aspect and made our wedding perfect. The food is AMAZING. I would recommend this venue for anyone who is getting married. You will not be disappointed. read more

Played 18(Blue/White) here on Sunday early afternoon for $2 including a cart thanks to golf now and a promo code, can't beat that. Facilities & Staff: Pro shop is tiny and the #bro working in there was nice...a little to sarcastic for my liking, but nice. They Rangers and cart girl were also all friendly. They have ok practices areas with a putting green. Chipping area and a range. I Got a bucket to warm up on their range which is pretty far from the pro shop if you were walking. Range itself is nothing to get excited about just somewhere to warm up. No distance markers, just flags and a barn I pelted a couple times. Carts are very slow and the first one I grabbed had gas spilled all over the floorboard...I'm a smoker and that could been bad if I didn't catch it. Course & Gameplay: Started my round solo which was nice of the starters to let me try and play a round alone. Played the first 3 holes of blue like a champ the I got paired with a threesome of slow playing, long talking, senseless schmucks which totally killed my round. The blue course is a reasonably good challenge and nice to play. We had 30mph winds when I played which made every low iron shot a doozy. Made the turn to the white course after 2.5 on the front 9 with no one holding us up. Played 4 holes on the back nine and called it a day and drove off the course after realizing that I was stuck in golfers purgatory with a bunch of hacks that thought they were good and the last 4 holes would take over an hour, didn't want to let my frustration swings set me back before the end of the season either. Course was in overall good shape, the greens & fairways are ok, the rough was very manageable. The only bad thing they had going were their traps that were rock solid. Would i play here again? I've played there many times this summer and for good reason, it's probably the best value to be had in suburban golf! I've been a member at semi private courses and have not experienced the level of service that I have had at Carillon. They have three 9 hole courses that are very challenging and are always in great shape! The food is great and the menu above average. Service in the bar with a smile and is always top notch! From the pro shop, course staff, to the grill and bar, everyone there is willing to go above and beyond to ensure a great experience is had! Do yourself a favor and give Carillon a shot! read more

Chris in the Pro Shop is the unfriendliness person I have ever met!! You deal with the public and treat people horrible. You don't even acknowledge when we walk in to pay to play golf!! I golf here because I live here and belong on a league. Tuesday was horrible. We were told we could start early so we went up to the starter and Chris had put some ladies in front of us!! Someone had the wrong tee time!! Never mind the ladies league Chris???!!! Shame on you!!! The starters are GREAT!! Just treat the ladies league with respect as well as the other golfers!! Played this course for the first time this year..What a great track! Place was busy but everything moved along. Rangers were on top of things(considering most courses these days don't have rangers)Course was in the best shape of any course I have played. Guy charged me a newsletter rate of $39 which included cart! No wonder it was busy..Staff was awesome..Starter/ pro shop went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. Golfed 9 yesterday and the course is very poorly maintained. The cart paths have more potholes than the inner city in February, there was a tree that fell over recently that no one has bothered to address, and the biggest issue I had was the Tee Boxes and fairways were festooned with goose poop. I had trouble finding a place to put my tee down so I could tee off and this was at every hole, not just a one off issue on a particular hole. I know other of plenty of other courses that have water features and geese and never found goose poop anywhere on another course. They need to fire their greens keeper. Do yourself a favor and shell out a few extra bucks to go to one of the other courses in the nearby area where you can drive your cart on the path without spinal cord damage and not have to worry about your ball or shoe landing in feces. read more

I used to play in this course with my family mainly because it is easy and relatively inexpensive. The course has, however, deteriorated quite badly over the years. The course is not properly maintained, the cart GPS is dysfunctional, and many parts of cart paths are in terrible shape. Worst of all, their customer service is horrible. The lady in the pro shop is very rude and unpleasant. On one occasion, I made a twilight 18-hole reservation. During check-in, however, she insisted that I only made a 9-hole reservation and to play an 18-hole, I had to pay the regular fee. I, of course, refused to do it and when I returned to the pro shop to pick up something, I heard her calling a ranger to give an angry instruction not to allow us to play prior to our time even when there is nobody ahead of us. I found it very offensive, insulting, and unprofessional because I never asked her if I could play early. The ugly story does not end there but to make a long story short, they really have a serious problem with customer service. I know one thing for sure: I will never play there again. read more
