I stumbled upon this place while looking for a place to eat during my lunch break at work, and boy and I am glad I gave it a shot. My review dates back to this summer, but I have kept such good memories of the food and my overall experience that I have decided to write a review of it, and am checking my calendar to see when I can come back here again! So the concept is : fresh ingredients, freshly made salads and tartes. Simple as that. It was the middle of August and so all of Paris was away basically, so the restaurant was not crowded at that point. (Btw this place is seriously tiny! But there is outdoor seating :) The owner gave us his full attention, and was very meticulous in explaining everything and checking up on us to see how we liked our food. I'll see if I can manage to find a picture somewhere, but definitely go for the menu with a large salad and a slice of savory tarte. The large salad was TO DIE FOR! Just soooo amazing. I have nothing but excellent memories of it - just such a fresh and original mix of flavors. Yum yum and yum. The tarte was also super yummy!!! Service was somewhat slow, but to be expected as the owner was by himself and everything was freshly made on the spot. The tartes were finishing cooking in the oven, and we watched him freshly prepare the salad. The owner was just so adorable though! The bathroom is tiny and kinda secluded off (you have to pass a little courtyard from what I remember) but the owner was adorable and checked out the bathroom to see if it was stocked with toilet paper before I went. And again checked with us as we were paying to see what we thought of our lunch. You could tell he was passionate about his restaurant and making customers feel like they were chez moi (or rather chez lui).

The place: Well, first of all, I discovered these guys in New York a few years ago while on a business trip and I fell in love. For real. They make fresh food daily including sandwiches, salads, some hot meals, baked goods - everything. I was so excited when I spotted the sign - the photographer I was with had zero say about going in. The goods: I had the lentil salad with avocado and roasted veggies - and it didn't disappoint! I also had a brownie. I love their brownies. In fact, one of my colleagues once cleaned out the Prêt near our NY office and mailed me 21 brownies. True story. My friend had a wrap and really enjoyed it. Service: Great - super friendly! We were so glad we did! This place specializes in GF sandwiches and the buns they use are fantastic! The three of us all had different sandwiches-the grumpy bear, the sneaky raccoon and the river run! We were all quite satisfied although we would normally not think of sandwiches as a complete dinner! The fellow who was working there was patient and kind and luckily spoke some English to help us with our decisions. The ambiance is inviting and cozy with a clean and trendy aesthetic. I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to those looking for a delicious gluten free meal in Paris!
