Had a fabulous time at the Uncle Louie comedy show, the waitress was awesome the entire time. The food and drinks were delicious. The only thing this place lacks and needs is an extreme update and better seating arrangement. Everyone was pretty tight and it was hard for even the comedians to come in and out of acts.

    Me at this comedy club!

So I went to this comedy club with my husband tonight. We had a good time. However, it felt like -10° similar to how you would feel as if you went with no jacket into Western Beef in the Bronx. I asked the waiter several times to turn off the air conditioner. He said " Ok, they turned it off". Every 5 to 7 minutes the air conditioner would turn back on over and over again for 2 hours straight! I was frozen like the Statue of Liberty on the commercial from back in the day, " City Sidewalks" style! The following thing that happened......we tried to leave the club, no one else got pulled over to the side but us. There was a heavyweight guy at the door and yelled " somebody find Ronnie!" We literally stood at the door for five minutes until someone found Ronnie because Ronnie did not have a walkie-talkie and their ticketing system is piss poor. I will simply never go back here again. 1 because I'm still frozen and someone else is typing this for me as I dictate it, 2 it took forever to find Ronnie, and 3 no one else got pulled over but us, and I really don't appreciate it as this really rubbed me the wrong way! By the way we brought our tickets in advance online and spent $80.00 to be treated unjustly. I've never been treated this way and was completely embarrassed. #Neveragain #CitySidewalks

Food and service was great. The ambiance is exactly what you expect from a comedy club. Very authentic.

Food ought to be hot and not merely lukewarm. Eat before you go and have a few drinks at the show.

Tasteless, small and not needed The soda I ordered came in a small glass. Would have like it bigger. I was afraid the order a refill as I didn't know if I would be charged for it The place is dark which I guess is typical of a comedy club. However the chicken fingers leave much to be desired. Very crusty like it had freezer burn and was then microwaved. The fries also taste burnt too. It looked much better than it tasted. The brownie was okay, it was served hot and with some obviously artificial whipped cream. However we did enjoy the comedy acts. Bathroom-the last stall toward the end was way too tight. Not enough standing room when wiping your ass. lol had a great time in general! Definitely will avoid the chicken fingers next time!

The overall ambiance is wanting some updating. There is a full service bar when you walk in which also serves as the staging area for the next seating. Once seated the entertainment area reminded me of a German Beer Hall, long tables run vertically from the stage. Chairs closely lined up so you will get to know your neighbors before the show is over. There are some tables lined horizontally to the stage which would pose some viewing challenges if your chair is facing away from the stage. So be prepared to adjust your chair for better viewing. Getting there earlier allowed us to get our drinks ( there's a two drink minimum) before the show started. Once the show starts it did take some time to reorder. I think they could have used a few more servers as the show was sold out this evening. We did not order food so I cannot comment but there were a number of various food items to choose from. The comedians material are all different so there's a style for everyone. It does get noisy especially if seated under or near the wall mounted speakers so be aware of their location when being seated. I was impressed with the "manager" Lauren who stopped by our table to welcome us and we had an interesting conversation. I was quite surprised that she also performed herself as the opening act and was very humorous herself. Overall a great place to see upcoming comedians and have a good time. One note you may get that occasional heckler who thinks he or she are funny too. The comedians did a nice job of handling but I think the establishment should take a stronger action when this occurs as I saw some attendees getting upset. But I suspect that occurs in many comedy club. Entertaining evening and I'll definitely return for another show when back in the area.

They have a two item minimum, not two drink minimum per person. The comics were very good on 11/23/24. My only complaint is that the tables are set up vertically when I feel they should be horizontal. My neck definitely got a cramp. Now on to food and drinks. I do not have any pictures as I didn't want to take my phone out of respect for the comedians on stage. The menu has lots of different things. I would say there was something for everyone. I ended up having a Caesar salad and I added grilled chicken. It was about $4 extra for the chicken. I thought I would get nice strips of grilled chicken. Instead, I got chopped pieces. Not worth $4 at all. For my beverage I had a HighNoon seltzer. They advertised they had White Claws in various flavors, but only had one. A bit misleading. My boyfriend had baked ziti and had a white wine. He said the baked ziti was nice and cheesy. His wine had a nice pour. My mom had spinach dip and a cocktail. She enjoyed both. My stepdad ordered New England clam chowder. It was not good at all. The consistency was off; it was very thin/watery and not thick at all. From what I was able to see, I didn't see much of any clams or potato. He had a soda for his beverage. Overall, it was a nice night out. We agreed we would return in the near future.

I reserved a spot online to avoid the hassle of not making the cut at the standby line. As a party of 1, I sat with another party of 1 and she was there to see Usama Siddiquee as well. What a coincidence! 2 item minimum and phones are put in a puffy mailer bag that you have on you until the rest of the show. Their beef yakitori skewers were juicy and tender! My cucumber gin drink was refreshing and not too strong. Each comedian that went up did such a great job with various styles of humor and experiences to share. I wasn't expecting a drop in but Marcello Hernandez from SNL went up and did some new material. God.. I love good surprises. Usama closed out the night strong and I was incredibly pleased with the show. Not gonna lie.. it was kismet that I got to shake their hands after their sets since my table was by the exit door. Def an evening I'll never forget!

Listen, I don't have to say much about this place. It's a staple. It's legendary. It's iconic. Been…read morecoming here for years, and it's never once been a bad time. Founded back in 1982 in a basement on MacDougal Street, and it's stayed almost exactly what it's always been: low ceilings, brick walls, candlelit tables packed close enough together that you're basically eavesdropping on the next table over whether you want to or not. Godfrey is a regular here, and he never fails to make me split my sides. He's been holding down rooms at this club for the better part of three decades at this point, and it shows every single time. Then there's the actual reason people fly in from out of town for this place: the surprise drop-ins. I got lucky and caught Kevin Hart doing a full 45-minute set for my friends visiting from out of town, completely unannounced. That's the magic of this room. Chappelle, Chris Rock, Seinfeld, half the biggest names in comedy have all quietly walked through that door to work out new material in front of a crowd that has no idea who's about to walk on stage next. Food and drinks are great, though pricey. Doesn't matter. You're paying for the room and the possibility of a night like that, and I'd happily pay triple just for the ticket alone with no food or drink involved. Only real knock: the door guys aren't especially friendly, and if you land on their bad side, they will kick you out, so tread carefully there. You also lock your phone away in a pouch the second you walk in, which sounds annoying and is actually the best part of the whole system, since it means the room is actually watching the show instead of filming it. Service moves fast and you barely notice them working around you. Just make sure you order everything you'll need up front, once the room gets going, they don't want anyone breaking the flow to flag down a waiter. A true New York institution, and worth every dollar.

** The laughs can be okay, but the service is not. We won't be coming back! **…read more The issue here is not the comedy, it's the service - specifically the wait staff for food and drinks. One time we went, my friend and I both ordered coffee; each of our coffees was cold - not room temperature cold, more like day-old-coffee cold. That time, luckily, the staff was willing to make fresh coffee when we complained. The food is atrocious here, as well. We ordered pita bread with hummus, and it was tasteless, overpriced (about $10), and reeked of garlic, which gave us dragon breath the rest of the night. Don't order food unless you bring cash or pay with one check for the table because the staff is unwilling to split checks. What business can't split checks in 2018? One that doesn't want my business, that's who. I really want to ask: how different is 5 people placing single orders than 5 people splitting one order? One of the times, since we were forced to pay a combined check due to the lazy wait staff, we were overcharged (charged for a drink we didn't purchase) and some of the cash we had provided mysteriously went missing. On top of this, the aggressive and stand-offish "I'm correct" attitude of the manager gave us all a bad taste in our mouths, one worse than the ghastly food. Needless to say, we won't be returning. In the event of issues, their motto is not to side with the customer, but to side with their own staff, and any business that is alive today knows that customer service is of utmost priority. Stay away.
