Food and service was great. The ambiance is exactly what you expect from a comedy club. Very authentic.

I have to start off saying, we need more places like Brokerage Comedy Club. We bought tickets to see Tara Cannistraci and the venue changed to Brokerage Comedy Club. I'm easy to please, not a big deal. When we pulled up to the venue, there is no parking?? In front of the venue, all street parking is full so I was able to park at the mini mart across the street. Once inside, it's dark and clubby. The Brokerage Comedy Club is set up the same way as Governor's Levittown, with long tables that one seat gets to see the performance while the other seat has to turn to see the stage. The rug? I swear, each step I took I was sticking to the rug. Gross. But, Tara and the other artists slayed. These are the types of venues where you'll see fast rising stars. Years ago I took my family to see Sebastian Maniscalco at Gotham Comedy Club. Now, he fills up Madison Square Garden. The one redeeming factor? After the show we hit up All American Hamburger in Massapequa. read more

4-5-25. Haven't been here in probably over 20 years. Went with a few couples on a Saturday night. I believe the tickets were $30 per person and there was a 2 drink minimum purchase. I believe you're able to order some food in lieu of drinks. All in all, I thought the price was fairly reasonable for a Saturday evening out. Cristina Miriani headlined that particular show and we enjoyed it very much. She has some off beat, dark humor and wasn't politically correct at all .......which was refreshing in this day and age of people being offended by everything. The crowd was lighthearted and everyone seemed to enjoy her brand of comedy. So for a night out, it was a good one that didn't break the bank. read more

Had a fabulous time at the Uncle Louie comedy show, the waitress was awesome the entire time. The food and drinks were delicious. The only thing this place lacks and needs is an extreme update and better seating arrangement. Everyone was pretty tight and it was hard for even the comedians to come in and out of acts. read more

Never been here before, went to see Jim florentine last night with a friend. Had some beers and a pizza, pizza was aight, wasn expecting gourmet food. All the comedians were very funny. The seating arrangement is long tables which makes you turn your head to see the comedian. Would return for more shows read more

Food ought to be hot and not merely lukewarm. Eat before you go and have a few drinks at the show.

Warning do not sit near the comedien. I was badly picked on for quite a while on 10/12 by the headliner. We've been going there for years. Never again. No more comedy clubs anywhere. read more

First timer and from start to finish I had an amazing experience. Seated by a friendly waitress who recommended a table for two. We explained we never been at the club and she took the time to explain the menus the two item minimum and how she will be our server thru the evening. When we went to order she recommended the burgers and I am so glad I took her up on her suggestion. (i wish i remember her name). The burger was divine. You don't go there for the food. Eat first abd have a few drinks there. Yes, parking can be an issue. Seek and ye shall find a spot. You go to hear comedians and would-be comedians do their routines. Some will be funnier than others but laughs will be there. It's a tight fit along the tables but not something that will ruin your evening. I always find it a fun night read more

Crazy fun experience. i've been to a few of the Governor venues and they're always so much fun. the comedians are always funnier than i expected, tend to have a dive bar feel - but in a really fun, community kind of way. loved it. and the Food - wow the burgers are good. i had the fried ravioli here and waitress recommended the garlic aioli go with it and it was aweesome. disclaimer, i performed- but i loved the other comics and the comaraderie of the crowd was spectacular. i had a big crowd and they totally loved it. read more

The comic I saw was great but the seats we got were terrible. If the stage is usually at 12 o'clock in a theater (straight ahead of you) the stage here was at 7-8 o'clock. You might be thinking "just turn your chair" which was my first thought as well but there were so many people packed in at the table (long straight table) there was not enough room. I was rubbing shoulders with the guy next to me. The show was sold out and I get you wanna make as much money as possible but come on guys. Remove 1 or 2 seats per side of the table and everyone would be way more comfortable and would actually be able to turn and see the stage. The comic opened with a joke about going to the chiropractor which I found ironic cause I was thinking I would have to go after cranking my neck for 2 hours. read more

This place hasn't changed in at least 20 yrs. It's a typical comedy club scenario of trying to squeeze in the most people possible, claustrophobics beware. After so much time, I expected that they would have improved the food and drink service, but it is unforgivably slow. Everyone around me was complaining and asking where's their food and/or drinks. I waited a long time for my drink only to find out the waiter had forgotten it. I hope the management will make improvements. If they can't have enough wait staff due to the crowded space, having more people working the bar and kitchen to get the orders out might help. My table and 2 other tables around me spent a lot of our time there being upset about not getting our orders instead of being free to eat, drink and enjoy the show. read more

Went to see a buddy of mine perform here in a "Laugh Off" competition. Small parking lot in front was packed when we arrived, so had to park a bit away. Service was attentive. Drinks were cold. Appetizers (wings, mozzarella sticks and jalapeno poppers) were future heart attacks on a plate. About 19 comics given 5 minutes each to make you laugh, giggle or cringe. A fun time. I wanted to say how accommodating the entire staff was at the Brokerage Comedy Club. I celebrated my daughter's 30th Surprise Birthday this past weekend and the entire staff may her celebration so special. They announced her birthday, along with each comedian making an announcement, and at the end, brought out a small brownie with a candle and everyone sang to her. So I went to this comedy club with my husband tonight. We had a good time. However, it felt like -10° similar to how you would feel as if you went with no jacket into Western Beef in the Bronx. I asked the waiter several times to turn off the air conditioner. He said " Ok, they turned it off". Every 5 to 7 minutes the air conditioner would turn back on over and over again for 2 hours straight! I was frozen like the Statue of Liberty on the commercial from back in the day, " City Sidewalks" style! The following thing that happened......we tried to leave the club, no one else got pulled over to the side but us. There was a heavyweight guy at the door and yelled " somebody find Ronnie!" We literally stood at the door for five minutes until someone found Ronnie because Ronnie did not have a walkie-talkie and their ticketing system is piss poor. I will simply never go back here again. 1 because I'm still frozen and someone else is typing this for me as I dictate it, 2 it took forever to find Ronnie, and 3 no one else got pulled over but us, and I really don't appreciate it as this really rubbed me the wrong way! Very intimate comedy club. The seating is arranged nicely so that no matter where you are sitting, you have a pretty good view of the comedian. I went to a late show on a Saturday night and yes, it was crowded. They offer tons of drink options so no matter what you like there's something for you. I also tried the sweet potato fries which were good. I'd recommend them. They book a lot of fun shows, so I'd recommend coming here. Comedy Club. I was sitting on my couch all cozy in my drawers watching something on National Geographic when some friends called me to come along to some Girl Scout fundraiser at this comedy club. I haven't been to a comedy place in a long time, mostly because I crack myself up for less than the 2 drink minimum... but I have to say I had a blast here. The performers on the bill were funny, they had me rolling. The food offerings were solid if nothing spectacular. The drinks were surprisingly decent - so all in all I'm glad I got up and went. This comedy club isn't bad. I've been here a few times with my sister and husband for some comedy events. The comedians I saw were hysterical, showing up here for the laughs was worth it for sure. The plus side is that even with a two drink minimum the bill at the end of the show isn't really all that much, it's fairly reasonable. Also if you sign up for their mailing list you will get a lot of mailings offering you free admission into the club which means all you end up having to pay for is the two drink minimum plus if you want any food. The food I've had there is decent, it's not terrible but not outrageously wonderful. The down side which is why this place gets three stars despite the excellent comedy. It's packed out as all hell. Every show I've gone to has been crowded and the space is pretty tight. This is just a personal preference I dislike being packed out with other people with barely any room to move around. I like my space and I tend to enjoy a place a little more if there's not so many people around. Overall I would come back here again for the laughs, they do get excellent comedians in here that will have you laughing the whole night through for sure. read more

We absolutely LOVE the Brokerage Comedy Club!! The service is great and the drinks are delicious!!! You never leave without your stomach hurting from laughing so much. Michelle Fox is absolutely hilarious!! Her jokes had us dying tonight!! Definitely would love to see her headline and will be keeping an eye out for her!! She is someone to definitely seek out!! This was the third time I had the privilege of seeing Tim Gage and he never disappoints!!! Literally has you tearing from laughing so hard. Can't wait to see him again too!! #strawberrysnapple Last but not least the headliner tonight was Rich Aronovitch I seriously can say with confidence I laughed at his entire show. Literally the whole time. He has such amazing jokes fun for all ages (18 and up)!! Loved how he played with the crowd too that was probably my favorite parts bc he's funny on the spot. A comfortable place for really good comedy at one of THE best venues on Long Island !

Last night had a good time at the brokerage comedy club. Reading the reviews you would think it was bad but honestly I thought it just reminded me of the cool comedy clubs where you're up close with the comedians and they can Interact with you in the audience. we just had a really good time. It's a nice option when you're in Long Island and there's not much to do on a Chilly night.Also if you sign up on the website I was told you can get comp tickets for some future shows. read more

C'mon this place is great and everyone always has a good night. That's why you go to the comedy club! BUT, the food has taken such a turn for the worse that it drove me to leave this feedback. Barely edible anymore. Seriously, don't eat the food. Just don't. Devastatingly bad. Horrific. ALL of it. Honestly, I can't believe they have the audacity to even serve it. This is one of the only remaining comedy clubs left, especially on the island. They usually bring in local comics but sometimes feature headliners and I always have a good time with friends here. It's small enough to feel like you're in the middle of the action but if you want to not be the butt of a joke you can sit in a corner table or further away from the stage. The food and drinks are okay but that's not really the point of going. It's just a cool way to have some laughs with friends and some light bar grub and feel like you're doing something different. Staff is always friendly and it's good not to have to go into Manhattan to get a laugh or two. They could probably use a bit of a "facelift" with the tables and so on but that sort of adds to the appeal somehow. read more

It was my first and only visit. Comedians were ok but the atmosphere, room temperature, seating, restrooms and quality of staff and service were very poor. The only positive was Mark Jigarjian AKA Jiggy, he is super talented. I have been to many, many comedy clubs on the east coast, and this is by far the worst rating I could give any club I've ever been to. There is a reason why they give free tickets out every night. I could tell a lot of people there were first time or not frequent customers. I am not the type of person who would call and complain to the manager, I just felt compelled to write this so people know what to expect here. I hope someone who works here reads this or responds with a positive change so that I'll consider recommending it to anyone. read more

Over the years I have brought a lot of business to the Brokerage (and their other clubs, Governor's and McGuire's) however, our last experience was so bad that I don't think I will be returning unless some changes are made. The last time my group was there, a table of older women were aggressive and rude to my guests. They were loud and obnoxious, they purposely banged into other people's seats (including that of one friend who had had back surgery!), threw drinks at my friends and threatened them with physical violence. Despite the fact that numerous staff members witnessed this behavior, no one asked these women to behave or to leave. Nothing was done to protect my guests (or those guests around them) and their complaints were basically dismissed. I do not feel that the staff supported us in any way and felt very unsafe. This is very disappointing and disturbing. Threats of violence and actual physical altercations/assaults are not just annoyances, but crimes. What is the purpose of bouncers/security, if they do not protect paying guests and control the behavior of those being disruptive? If this had been a nightclub, these women would have been thrown out - so why were they not even spoken to? My guests received comp tickets for a future show, however they are apprehensive about EVER returning at all if this is the behavior they can expect from the Brokerage's patrons and the poor level of service they can expect from the Brokerage's staff. (Also these "comp" tickets weren't actually complimentary. They include a $5 "service fee" at the door, in addition to the usual 2-drink minimum. That's hardly going to make up for such a terrible experience.) I don't know if it is their official policy to ignore this kind of behavior and condone physical threats and assaults... or is this was just gross negligence on behalf of the staff that was scheduled to work that evening. Regardless, it was unacceptable and I will not be returning unless I'm assured that it will not happen again. read more

Two drink minimum is annoying. But after complaining about lack of notice on that, the owner pulled us aside and gave complimentary tickets to another show. Chris Monty show was hilarious, the waitresses were rude and the prices were okay. Three stars though because of the manager and the main act. One of the funnest things to do on a Saturday night! The comics are always hysterical. Drinks are great. They do have a 2 drink minimum, but if you happen to get free tix to the show, that's not a bad night out. Their food is normal "bar" food: hamburgers, sandwiches, salads, etc. It's decent, but not spectacular. Be prepared to sit shoulder to shoulder with the person next to you. It's a little bit of a tight squeeze. But once the show gets going, you hardly notice it. The only other negative about this place is their bar/lobby area. It's way to small. Even if you get there early, (they ask that you show up 30 min before the show), they aren't always ready to seat people. So, you're forced to either pack into their bar or wait outside. It can get very claustrophobic. read more

I've been to the Brokerage numerous times and have had great times there. Tonight we saw our favorite comedian,Jessica Kirson, and she was hilarious as usual. Prior to the great show there was a seating issue and I would like to say the manager handled it incredibly well and our waitress was extremely sweet and accommodating. We appreciated it and we made sure we tipped more to show that appreciation. read more

A full house for Mr Oumarou! Came here to be entertained by my comedian husband and a troupe of newcomers to comedy. They do this "Stand-up University" which is impressive - in only 5 weeks, they put together a very funny show for 1/2 the cost of admission on a regular night! We were able to fit our group over two really dirty tables...good thing it was dark because I didn't even want to know what was under the stained paper place mats! There's a two drink minimum (very watered down drinks) and absolutely no reason to order food (Even the host kept saying "we'll all go to a diner and do cocaine after")(cocaine?). We had things like spinach dip, calamari, and jalapeno poppers which were served cold. But we weren't there for the food anyhow - we laughed our a's off and became comedians ourselves when observing the service and crowd. It was a fun-filled night and I will definitely go back for more shows! Admission is actually free when you sign up for their mailing list! read more

I Went once. Myspace had a Free secret showing of Adam Ferrara. It was a fantastic night for me and my girlfriend. The place is packed but so is every other comedy club you go to. The two openers were funny but what made this night so great is that the lights kept going out so most of the show was spent with the comics standing with Colman camping lanterns and no mic. As you can imagine it made for some great laughs. Adam Faerrara was outstanding and cracked on me and my girlfriend for a good 15 20min and even called his wife to tell her about me and her and our line of work. At the end of the night he signed posters and took pictures with everyone. He was on stage well over what the limit was and kept it rolling with a ton of laughs. I will come back. 2 drink min is retarded but the show was free so I cant say much. Food was "okay". Drinks kind of lame. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Tickets said doors open at 9:30pm. My girlfriend and I waited outside in the rain until 10:10pm (10 minutes after the show is supposed to start). They sat us at a table made for two with another couple. No leg room, no arm space. Waitstaff had too many tables. Took an HOUR to get our first round of drinks. Chairs uncomfortable especially sitting for 2+ hours. Kitchen even messed up our food order. NEVER again. read more
