Great location, casual western rustic atmosphere and decor, excellent food and service. I arrived with a friend for lunch a bit early before the crowd so we our choice of seating. I loved the decor with antiques, and the western theme. There was background music (ballads and love songs) but it was light enough we could converse without a struggle. The menu has Mexican antojitos, steaks (cuts like ribeye, filet mignon, ribs, etc.) as well as chicken, and salads. The prices were reasonable. They offered a full bar as well as iced tea, sodas and aguas frescas. They have a breakfast menu, and their lunch-dinner menu. On Wednesdays they offer a buffet that sounds great. They had a private parking lot. It would be appropriate for meeting friends, family, business lunches and small groups. Everything looked clean and orderly. I'd definitely return. read more

Very expensive. The starter they brought out tasted like dog food. We ordered steaks. The filet mignon was ordered medium rare and came out purple in the middle. Yikes. The flavor was pretty good, well seasoned, but the uncooked steak was a downer. Service was fine. The guy was nice and brought our food very quickly. Absolutely phenomenal. This is my new favorite go-to in Ensenada. The decor is cute and has an old western theme when you enter. The decor, furniture, and cutlery are all new and well maintained. I like the decor! It is definitely a different atmosphere. We were greeted and sat promptly. The staff was friendly and our waiter immediately took our drink order. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the margaritas. Definitely one of the best margaritas I have had down here. The chips and salsa are another hit. They are good! The salsa has some good heat but hearty in flavor. We polished them both before the meal even came out. I ordered the "La Tradicional" and my friend ordered the filet mignon. The food was incredible. The carne asada, the pollo and the chorizo were cooked beautifully and the flavor was incredibly well seasoned. My companions steak was good (though he eats them well done so to me kind of ruins it - BUT it was still fantastic). The baked potato was probably saturated in butter and calories but holy cow - was it good. I was stealing forkfuls off his plate. We were too full for desert so I can't make any comments. Our party 4 arrived at 9:30 and feasted our hearts out on the 3 person especial dinner with the cow intestines. Yea the steak was very well prepared, solid quality of cuts but the cream used on the potatoes was otherworldly. I am very impressive with this restaurant. The flavor of the meat is sooooo good, juicy, and tender that I ate the whole "parrillada" and that's a lot. They have a lady making fresh tortillas, super. I have a vacation home near Ensenada and have been meaning to try this place for some time. I am certainly glad I finally did. To start the service is top notch. The restaurant is imaculate and clean with western decor. Let me tell you this was the best steak I have ever had in my life! The cuts were generously sized. I ordered the filet al cilantro, my sister had the filet de Don Esaak and my mom bruchette. All were to die for! The filet melted in my mouth, the bake potatoe was to amazing and they make their own tortillas fresh while you are ordering. They also have a large wine selection. The buffet here is so delicious. Bummer its only done on weekends. However the restaurant is open during the week and is still very very good. Service is excellent as well. He was absolutely correct, it was very delicious food, everything was tasty and well prepared. Surprisingly it was a buffet, so we got to eat all we wanted.
