However, patrons consistently cite frustrating downsides, including exceptionally tight legroom, very steep balcony inclines, and obstructive side-orchestra sightlines. At the orchestra, while offering an up-close experience, extreme side orchestra seats often suffer from obstructed views. Legroom and seat widths throughout the venue are noticeably tight, so booking an aisle seat is highly recommended for taller patrons. The mezzanine has the best balance of price and view. However, the rear section can suffer from the balcony overhang, which cuts off the top of the stage. The balcony offers a surprisingly clear and affordable vantage point, but the steep pitch can feel precarious to those afraid of heights. Restrooms are famously tight and lines move slowly at intermission, making it best to plan ahead. Drinks are available for purchase, though lines can be long. Because food/drink policies can be strictly enforced by house staff, be prepared to consume any outside snacks before entering the auditorium. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed watching " Hell's Kitchen"

And yes, once again an obvious head obstructed my view, but this review will be focused on the show. Getting back to the production. The clever premise of the show spans several years back in L.A. whereupon comedians join forces to literally stand up and read from celebrities memoirs/autobiographies---and it works. A 90 minute solo, mash up and dialogue being read by the comedians offers hilarious entertainment. The celebrity memoirs included those past and present. Granted some of the audience roared with laughter while I remained amused. I was never a stand up comic show kind of gal though I've seen plenty. In my opinion, what was really funny was the manner in which the memoirs were written. Some were so painfully bad. No disrespect to those who passed on, but it included Suzanne Somers, Bob Newart and Carol Channing. The contemporary autobiographies were equally bad, including Matthew McConaughey, Tiger Woods, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sylvester Stallone and so on. The roster of comedians will always be changing until it concludes its run in August. I saw Mario Cantone, Ralph Macchio, Brooke Adams to name a few. I didn't recognize some of the other comedians. If comedy with a twist is your thing, it's worth checking out. As the comedians emphasized, they can't make this stuff up as it was spoken in the words of the celebrity authors.

The show was in Stage I; we sat in the very last row, Row M, seats 101 & 102 and I can honestly say they were great seats. Save some money and rest assured you'll still have a great view of the show. Theater and stages are accessible by stairs and an elevator. I look forward to returning to see other off-Broadway and varied shows here. Street parking is available.

Some Encores I've seen: La Cage aux Folles, Urinetown, Light in the Piazza, Oliver!, Into the Woods, Parade, Sunday in the Park, Evita, Brigadoon, Merrily We Roll Along, etc. Productions like Chicago, Into the Woods, Sunday in the Park, Parade, Once Upon a Mattress and Ragtime have had successful Broadway transfers from City Center. Their mission: To be an accessible and inclusive center for the arts, reflecting the energy of New York City. Encores was designed to preserve the legacy of American musical theater. After standing for a few hours, I really regretted not getting a ticketed seat for myself. So in the future, I'm glad that I have that option. Once you enter The Shed, you take the escalator upstairs to get to the concert hall. At the end of the concert, the doors open and lead you out right next to The Vessel so I thought that was a nice visual perk at the end of the concert. I hope I get a chance to come back and get to walk around the place and see a little bit more of it.

Production review: When I learned Tom Hanks would be performing Off Broadway in "This World of Tomorrow", I was eager to get tickets. Although the production is Off Broadway, the prices were definitely Broadway and no surprise there with headliner Tom Hanks--one of my top favorite actors of all time--in the starring role. The play takes place in the year 2089 and is all about time travel with Hanks' character--Bert--traveling back to 1939 during New York's World Fair. Without giving anything away, the storyline explores themes on falling in love, technology and what makes life meaningful. We really enjoyed the production which runs through December 21. Overall, it received positive reviews. Some were mixed and in my opinion, I thought the play should have been shaved down by 20 -30 minutes (it was 2 hours + 15 min with intermission). As a Tom Hanks fan, it was truly a delightful treat on a holiday weekend.

Clothing, accessories, you name it and individuals are making some of the coolest merchandise that I like to call "wearable art". Well, we saw some of the most gorgeous things that one can put on and use last Sunday afternoon during an event at Kumble Theater. Kumble Theater is located on Long Island University's Downtown Brooklyn Campus. Easily accessible via mass transit, before you know it you are walking down the block, through the gate and passing by the security guard station all in a matter of minutes to get into the theater. Kumble Theater consists of a Black Box Theater, Dance Studios and "The Humanities Gallery"- a glass enclosed art gallery that is used for art exhibitions. In my opinion, it is a nice and somewhat cozy space (around 300-350 seats) in which to view performances. Comfort is key and their cushioned seats are comfortable. We attended "Gifts of Gathering-28th Annual Coat Show & Market Sale" Marvelously displayed items were for sale (clothing, jewelry, etc.) in the lobby portion of the theater area. Tribal Truths Collection w/ Fashion Designer Brenda Brunson-Bey partnered w/ Kumble Theater to have this event that included her Coat Fashion Show. Guest designers from companies Edgewear Designs (Afrocentric/Denim line) and Ashanti Fields Menswear (Afrocentric inspired) also showcased their clothing. Fantastic Fashion show! Clothing w/ vibrant, bold colors, spectacular designs, band playing live drums and other instruments while models walked, etc...you name it and it was in that fashion show. Pershing is a three-theater facility located on 42 Street between 9th and 10th Avenues. The building, designed by Frank Gehry Architects, has everything theater-goers want: a cafe, ample pre-performance seating, modern restrooms, elevators and comfortable stadium seats in the theaters. The show I saw, "Art of Leaving," illustrated six perspectives of marriage with a humorous and entertaining script. I'm a fan of live theater, and now a fan of the Pershing Square Center.

Unfortunately, the show had to be canceled due to tech issues. I was super bummed. This time around, I went with my two older sisters. It was our treat to ourselves while in town. Let me tell you something, it was worth the wait. The cast was different, but dare I say better. I love this theater. There's truly no bad seat. We also got upgraded and ended up being seated on the second row. Going to the bathroom worked out for us. We were walking to our seat on the 8th row when a couple ushers stopped me and one asked if my party was 3 people. We fortunately were and when I told her that she asked if we wanted to be upgraded. Duh When I tell you, we were so close to the stage we could see the cast spit whenever they were reaching for high notes. Truly, the best show. My oldest sister was laughing the whole time. I loved all the current events references. Funtastic music and such a great cast. 10/10

I visited this theatre this past week to see TITANIQUE and it was AMAZING, PHENOMENAL, ENTERTAINING, UPLIFTING AND JUST A JOYOUS EXPERIENCE!!!! We sat in Orchestra - Right, seats 101-102 on the aisle, and we could see the entire stage and had great access to the exit and restrooms. ORCH. SEAT R101 IS RECOMMENDED FOR TALL PEOPLE, THERE'S NO SEAT IN FRONT OF IT. [You're welcome ;) ] The cast was amazing, and I plan to see it again before they close in September 2026. Sarah Gallo played Celine Dion in my show, alongside Layton Williams, Frankie Grande, Deborah Cox and Jim Parsons. They were all amazing and the entire car worked well together. The icing on the cake was that I forgot an item under my seat. Nothing expensive or particularly important, but it is sentimental to me. As soon as I left the city my heart dropped realizing I'd left it tucked under my seat. I immediately searched how to get items back from the theatre and contacted both the ticket vendor and the there company owner. But the next morning I had responses from both and later the next day received a reply that my item was being held at the box office!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!!! In a citi of 8+million plus it was a relief to get my item back. I thank the ATG Entertainment staff for their prompt response and ease of assistance. Like the show I feel that anything is possible, if you only imagine it!!!!
