I stumbled on this bakery while wandering this popular street, which by the way has quite a few Asian restaurants, as it's nearby Chinatown (which itself is not anything to speak of at all). There's also a book written about the restaurants and shops on this street, but this is NOT a touristy spot like so so many of the bakeries in Amsterdam. It's small and quaint with quality baked goods, not massed produced pedestrian food. Although the selections are fairly limited, what they have here is high quality baked goods. They're a very bread centric bakery, which is why I'm guessing their clientele is more local. I've seen locals coming in purchasing loaves of their freshly made breads. I tried their raisin bread and there were so many sweet rainsins in every slice! If you're putting a foodie list together for Amsterdam, definitely add the Apple Turnover here to your list.
