They even had a live singer performing, which added a great vibe to the visit.We shared a pizza while doing our tasting, and it paired nicely with the wines. The wines were good overall, though not quite enough for us to buy a bottle. One of the wines seemed like it was starting to turn, but the rest were enjoyable. Very peaceful, low key winery with friendly folks manning the wine tasting area. We came to celebrate Father's Day here on a drizzly, wet day with a small group. I made table reservations online for $20 (you get to choose a 3 hour block of time) -- and while it probably wasn't necessary the day we went, if the weather is warmer on a weekend, I'm guessing you'll need it! Minimal food available for purchase, but you can do tastings, flights, wine by the glass or bottles and are allowed to bring outside food and decorations (just not outside alcohol). Price point is reasonable, and we enjoyed a bottle of Cayuga white while overlooking the vines and fields. Peaceful venue, not fancy and kid friendly (which was a plus for us) and we appreciated being allowed to relax and enjoy the fresh air and wine! I visited this winery on Saturday, July 20. We were a group of 8. We had a great time. First off, the grounds are really pretty and very serene. No craziness, frat party vibes / zoo animals which tend to be a thing now days. Wineries used to be live music with responsible adults. So I was really happy to find this place. The personnel was very pleasant. I can't remember the names, but the lady manning the shop was super nice. The guy with the beard as well. The guy who did the tasting was an absolute doll and full of information. The wine tasting was very thorough. The wine was good. The charcuterie boards were individual and plentiful. We all enjoyed our time here. We had a round trip limo so that we could drink and stay responsible. We kinda drank a lot and were a bit rowdy but at our table. We had a great time. This place is also good for dates. Now I don't know what happens after hours but we arrived at around 2 and left at around 5:30. All I know is that I left happy and plan to return. read more

I had a day off and wanted to try out a new winery outside of my area so I drove an hour and got there on a steamy Wednesday as they opened. The setting is beautiful and it's only 5 minutes from the PA border so a trip to the Delaware River overlook is a great photo op. The lady pouring our flights was super friendly and knowledgeable. When you do a tasting you are only allowed to choose red, whites or sweet wines and you do not get a choice of what is poured. Unfortunately I was not a fan of any except one and got 1 more glass of it, which was a very generous pour. We were the only ones there until we left around 1:30pm when 2 others were there and 2 more came in. It was the middle of the week in a location where I don't think there is much else so there's that. The reviews were great which led me there but I just didn't enjoy the selections. read more

Brook Hollow is a very chill winery. On a beautiful Saturday at noon it wasn't crowded at all. It was easy to snag parking, a table overlooking the music and there wasn't a long wait for food and drinks from the tasting room. Wineries and crowds usually go hand in hand on beautiful days, so I appreciated the calm atmosphere. They have a very large lawn space with plenty of seating which didn't hurt. Wine was just okay. My dry rose didn't look or taste like rose at all and was more like a light red wine. I also tried a fruity white that was overly sweet. Usually I'm a fan of a flight, but the flight didn't look too appealing and came in the tiniest plastic cup. Glasses of wine are $7 and a bottle is around $16-$18, so if you are getting two glasses a bottle is definitely the play. They have limited food options, but I suggest bringing your own. My pretzel was stale and the cheese wasn't too quality. It's a beautiful property and you really can't go wrong with a glass of wine and some live music on a nice summer day. read more

2/26/22 Update: We came to "The Wurst Night" at Brook Hollow Winery. Lots of good German food and music . The accordionist was Erik. He took requests by all the attendees. He also performed at a pig roast we attended in 2021. At the present event, you could purchase wine by the glass $7.00 or by the bottle $20- $30.00. We had a glass of Chardonnay and Chambourcin. Tonight's dinner was a buffet style. Started out with some really tasty appetizers-liver wurst, lox, deviled eggs and crackers. Next, we had sauerbraten, potatoes, sauerkraut and other good German food. All the food was from Alpine Meats in Blairstown, NJ, Lastly, we had an excellent cheesecake. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner Paul. Paul gave us a lot of good information about the winery. The entire Brook Hollow staff was great! Just want to give a special shout out to Shayne who was of great assistance during our visit early that week! A wonderful bottle of 2018 Cabernet Franc came home with us. The winery is open daily. You can go for regular and premium sampling of whites reds and sweet wines. All the wines are wonderful! Yelp does offer a 20% sampling discount. Wonderful experience. We went there on a Saturday at 5:00. We wanted a quiet, relaxing place to hang out and drink good wine. It did all that. Grace helped us inside deciding on which bottle to try. Then, we sat outside and had a view of the vineyard with some enjoyable entertainment. We brought our dog and Grace can out with a bowl of ice water for him. We enjoyed a bottle of Frontenac Blanc with some home brought snacks. After finishing the bottle we went inside to purchase some bottles to take home. We ended up joining the wine club and tasting an amazing chocolate merlot milkshake. Grace and Nick were knowledgeable and so helpful. My husband and I enjoy going to Brook Hollow and bringing our friends! The service is always great, the employees are so helpful, informative, and kind. The views when you sit outside are always lovely. The Cayuga White is my favorite wine to get, but I love doing a tasting and seeing the other options. I primarily drink white wine and my husband drinks red so we have found a few week like. Some are hit or miss but there is always a good selection. We went last night for a Food Truck Friday and enjoyed the food truck and live music. It was a tad loud in the building because of a meet the author event, but I love that they do so many events. Found this cute winery by accident a while ago and now we seem to end up here fairly often. Located right off exit 4 on 80 and near a ton of hiking trails and the Delaware Water Gap. Open til 6 on the weekend with live music on most weekends. They have a large tasting room and outside patio with tables and seating that overlooks the vineyard. Dog friendly. The wines are consistently good and they offer tastings. Came today during the heat wave and they have a chocolate Merlot milkshake, a Cran-raspberry slushie, and a Merlot slushie. Deliciousness! I recommend doing a 50/50 blend. Cut the chocolate Merlot milkshake with one of the slushies. This winery is definitely worth a visit! read more

This winery is a great, pet friendly place to go with your friends if you want a fun wine tasting experience. A tasting of their menu is only $10 and if you bring their wine glass back, you get the tasting free. It's a great deal! Our server, Nic, was really awesome and answered all our questions. We ended up buying 13 bottles of wine total and received a 20% discount on everything. Located close to the Delaware Water Gap, it is a bit of a drive, but that gives me the excuse to linger and enjoy the scenery. I usually come here to have a sampler and listen to the live music for a couple of hours while overlooking part of the vineyard. On this particular day we assisted in bringing in the grapes. It was definitely work, but really fun too, with so many new people to talk to. I really like that in the future, I can look at bottles from this year and know I had a part in its making. read more

If you're a fan of dry wines this is the winery for you. The tasting room is in a wooden barn and unlike a lot of tasting rooms, warm and cozy. We went on a Sunday and there was live music. They have tables set up to sit and enjoy a bottle of wine and enjoy the music. Or you can go to the bar and enjoy a tasting. Me and my friend did the tasting at the bar. For $10 you get about 12 pours and 2 wine slushee tastings and you keep the glass. Bring the glass back again for free tastings any time. One thing I didn't love here was there are no chairs at the bar and no hooks for your bag or coat. The man doing our tasting was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the wines. One thing I really loved about this place is their support for their neighbors. There are pictures everywhere of the wolves at the nearby Lakota Wolf Preserve. They also have two bottles of wine with pictures of two of the wolves. If you purchase a picture 100% or the proceeds go back to the Preserve and if you purchase one of the wines with the wolf on the label 20% of your purchase goes to the Preserve. They also have another bottle of wine with a photo of a Bear. This bottle supports their other neighbor the Antler Ridge Sanctuary and 20% of the purchase of this bottle goes to the Sanctuary. read more

This was an impromptu trip for the wife and I and we definitely enjoyed ourselves. Place for wine tasting is a massive hall with rows of tables, was pretty empty when we were there. Couldn't see the grounds well because it was evening and there was a massive rain storm over the area. Wines lean on the dry side so take that into consideration going in. I'm not a big dry wine guy myself, I prefer to know I drank liquid after I drank liquid. Flavors were good though so if you like that style give it a go! If you're using Google Map to find this place be careful, it wanted us to turn off early into the middle of a field so keep your eyes out for signs. Place is definitely wheelchair friendly. Large spacious walkways and the bathrooms are generously sized. We had a good time here. Not sure if they serve any sort of food (we didn't see any) but if they offered something up, even pretzels or something to help soak up the alcohol I think it would be greatly appreciated, especially for the drunken couple we saw stumbling around the parking lot. read more

Hidden gem!! Beautiful wedding venue for anyone looking for DIY options with a homely feel and a hands-free day-of experience. And competitive prices to boot (especially relative to the metro areas of Philadelphia and New York)! We did our own decorations, and the event staff allowed us to configure the space exactly as we wanted. Nonetheless, the event staff added some nice decorative touches and ran a smooth event. There is only 1 wedding per day, so you have the venue and staffs' full attention. Communication was excellent, and there was ZERO drama or big-day mess-ups. Of the many unique aspects of the venue, my favorite was complete access to the space. Rather than constraining us to a small indoor space where everyone dances or sits with their cliques, we had access to a fire pit outside, a covered wrap-around space to mingle, games, a gazebo, and the beautiful vineyard. The space provided a comfortable feel for everyone - whether they wanted to dance, sit around the fire, mingle around outdoor stand-up tables, or play games. There is plenty of covered outdoor areas too, so some rain didn't ruin our fun. A couple of small notes: Be clear about what the venue should do if you go over on wine with an open bar, and don't forget to confirm your policy on the day of (or you'll get charged afterwards). We stopped in for food but there was a car show across from the place on that day so only wine in the location. The two wine/ bartenders were so polite and welcoming. They were also quite knowledgeable about their wine selection. We had a few samples of various white wines, and the Reisling I had was a perfect semi-sweet!! I bought a bottle of it! My mom had a lovely dessert wine and she loved it too! The place is very quaint and has a rustic ambiance. Lots of wood and feels cozy in there. I went to Brook Hollow Winery today for an amazing author event and fell in love with the relaxed atmosphere and beautiful setting. The book signing event was amazing with many talented writers of all romance genres. We were able to get a couple bottles of the winery's product and my friends, who are wine particular, said that they really enjoyed the blends. This would be a perfect place to spend a beautiful afternoon or have an event, perhaps even a wedding. My friends and I brought blankets and a picnic lunch, bought a couple bottles of the Brook Hollow wine and just had a relaxing and informative afternoon. I would come out here with my dogs next time for a restful, relaxing wine tasting. it's right off Route 80 and there is plenty of parking. Highly recommend. read more

Beautiful, great wine for my money! Friendly service! We arrived in a party bus around 4 pm. Our group reserved 2 tables and we had a ball! We brought cake and finger foods. Our server was friendly and she gave us a guided wine tour. There was a live musician there that sounded awesome! We got to keep our glasses. I was originally concerned because of the reviews about noise. My group wasn't quiet. We talked, laughed, and sang happy birthday. We have been coming to Brook Hollow since 2017 when we discovered it while camping up the road. On July 18th, we had our wedding at their event facility. I cannot say enough great things about the place....be it for a casual day out or for your event! First off, I'll start with Jess. She.Is.Awesome! She walked us through everything we needed to do for the wedding and then as we had questions for her in the process, she replied quickly with the answers. On the day of the wedding, she helped to make the room so beautiful. She even added some signs (Eat, Drink and Be Married) and letters spelling LOVE to add to the decor. She put up the tulle and made sure that the florist set up everything in the way that we wanted. She (and her staff) were wonderful and I can't say enough great things about them. During the event, Jess flawlessly executed all the things I asked of her....moving wine barrels from outdoors to indoors, making sure that the casino company (we hired one when Covid shut down dancing but got so into the idea that we kept them even after the restrictions were lifted) set up quickly while we were inside, poured the Chocolate Merlot smoothies for our guests (YUMMY), and took care of everything! The staff was wonderful and if you need a bartender, ask for Nick! He was so fun, did a fabulous job and was loved by all, most especially our son! The venue was gorgeous! Our pictures tell the story and it was exactly what we were looking for....rustic, shabby chic! We chose to give splits of Brook Hollow Merlot wine for our favors. We designed the labels for the splits and Jess made sure that they were just as I wanted. They were perfect and a big hit with our guests. We wholeheartedly recommend Brook Hollow for your wedding! Four thumbs up from the Raccioppi's! You won't be disappointed! Aside from our wedding (which was absolutely the perfect day for us!), we frequent the winery for tastings and to hang out and listen to some music. They allow you to bring cheese and crackers to the venue. We researched every possible venue in northwest NJ for our 30th high school reunion and could not have picked a better place! The private outdoor location overlooking the vineyards along with a large beautiful indoor space checked all the boxes. The event staff was warm, accommodating, and knowledgeable about all that was needed. We worried about nothing since they took care of EVERYTHING. Also, the price?? This is the best kept secret. They really could charge double per person and it would be well worth it. Food was abundant and delicious, and they catered to a variety of tastes and dietary needs. The costs per person were less than other places (without the beautiful atmosphere) AND you supply your own desserts as well as liquor so the bar costs are much lower with just the in house wines. Location was also ideal for those traveling since it's right off of route 80 at the NJ/PA boarder. Without hesitation, we know we will book again for our 40th! read more

Stumbled upon this winery during our summer's camping trip at Camp Taylor. The wines are awesome, we kept coming back for more Frontenac, Cabarnet Franc and their wine slushees, merlot milkshake -- a must! Wines are on the semi dry to dry, for me it's just right, hint of sweetness. Favorite whites include their Cayuga White & Chardonnay. There's news of a Rosé launching soon, will let you know how that goes ;-) I live about an hour away from this winery, I visit it at least 2-3x a month. It's just a happening place, live music, comedy shows, bbq, pig roast. The staff are welcoming and hospitable, more importantly knowledgeable about thei. We went to Brookhollow winery yesterday last minute as an added stop on our adventure to the slopes because we saw it on yelp, and we noticed that the hours were until 6 PM. It turns out that they actually close at 5pm. When we got to the winery, it was full, but there were still some tables available. The bartender gave us the information on how to buy the tasting flights and for other purchases options as well. We were pleased to notice that there was live music by a soloist singing and playing a guitar. Some of the guests were up front dancing. Some families had a children with them. Everyone seemed very friendly. I noticed that the winery sellskitchen towels, mitts and other gift items. I definitely recommend this place as a stop midpoint. read more

Leann was our wine tasting bartender and she was the absolute best. Gave us the scoop on all the wines and answered all of our somewhat dumb wine questions. She definitely made the experience!! We held our friend's bachelorette party here a couple weekends ago. We had a reservation for 1:30 for the tasting; we all got there about 10-15 mins earlier, as requested by the vineyard. We didn't get seated until around 2. It is understandable that stuff happens, but we started to get attitude and shortness from the greeter for asking how much longer the wait would be at around 1:50. She blamed traffic on 80, although that's the route all of us took to get there, and we managed to get there earlier than our allotted time. We also noticed that all of the staff was merely wearing face shields; an essentially pointless COVID precaution without a mask. Despite the shaky start, I would be back, because our tasting went well. The staff member assigned to our group was really kind and hospitable. Our group definitely enjoyed the Cayuga White the most, and I also enjoyed the Dry Riesling. We appreciated that they kept a reserved table for us after our tasting. We were able to enjoy a nice ambiance with the live music, beautiful views, and a bottle of Cayuga White. read more

It is a pretty place. The four of us went on Saturday, June 20th for a day with one of our birthdays. The valley is nice. A good amount of people and customers there. We had registered $10 each to have a wine tasting of the local Brook Hallow wine. To be honest, it was OK. Nothing higher for our level it seems. It was a nice short tasting of one swallow each of 10 flavors. Nothing more. By the end you might have had one full glass of wine from all 10 small flavors. White, Read and Rose. One flavor of just fruit and now grapes that became a wine. This is fine for guests int he end. However, if you have traveled wineries around the world (including Napa and the South fo France trips) there are better places to go. In the current world we are living in this is fine. The tasting was super comprehensive (13 wines) and affordable (10$--which includes a wineglass that you can bring back on a return visit and get a free tasting). The Cabernet Franc was particularly good, and is competitive with those in Napa / California. Another standout was the Cabernet Sauvignon, which I was definitely not expecting since it's typically not an NJ varietal. All in all, Brook Hollow's production is high quality. A place to visit! This winery is enjoyable on the weekends - they have music & a beautiful setting. They do not have any food so bring your own - they are totally OK with that. Many people bring coolers of sandwiches, cheese & crackers, etc. The wine is not bad for Jersey wine. I like the Cab Saviginon or the Cab Franc.
