Gorgeous venue and grounds. The owners went above and beyond to make sure my daughter's wedding day was wonderful. They were doing last minute touches right up to the ceremony to assure perfection. It was a tough go with postponements and occupancy restrictions due to Covid but they did an amazing job.

Attended a wedding there last weekend . Can I say loved loved loved . Everything was perfect . The decor was stunning . Funky lit candles through the dining area . Rustic different sized chairs . So quaint and beautifully done . Staff was more than accommodating . Food and drinks were plentiful . My favorite part was the old singer sewing machine in the ladies room ! Great place for a wedding ... loved every part of it ..

My daughter held her wedding at Jack's Barn this year. We had found it on the internet, looked carefully at the website, read reviews, checked the Facebook page, made an appointment to visit and fell in love with the concept of a barn wedding. Everything about it was really perfect -- Darren, the owner and his daughter Demi, the manager have a list of preferred vendors to work with which made the whole experience of planning your own wedding from beginning to end much easier. We knew we were working with people who had been successful there before and could be trusted to do a good job. Even though it was an hour and a half from our house, much of it was accomplished in a few visits and over the phone. The site is really spectacular, the gardens beautiful, and everything about the day ran totally smooth. You can dress it up or down, make the wedding as formal or as informal as you want, borrow lots of items or rent them very economically. One thing I loved is that it has lots of spaces for people to talk and at the same time a great dance floor and space for a band -- how many times have you been to a wedding where the music is so loud that you honestly can't hear anything that anyone says to you? I honestly can't say enough good things about Jack's Barn. Weddings can obviously be a nightmare and a money pit if you let them, but with a little thought and a venue like this the important day becomes a real joy.

Unfortunately we didn't play the entire course, since the event was on the driving range, chipping area, and practice green. From the limited access to the course, you can tell this is a very well-maintained course, inside and out. The Pro Shop is full stocked with apparel, equipment, and accessories. Clubhouse staff was helpful and friendly. Nonetheless, the Hawke Point and PGA HOPE staff made everyone feel welcomed. The competition was divided into teams based on branch of service. The stations were well ran by the PGA HOPE staff; each were easy to jump into, even if you were new to golf. The energy and camaraderie was great. Made some new friends and the whole day felt meaningful. If you're looking for something special that combines golf with purpose, I highly recommend getting involved with PGA of America's REACH Foundation. After spotting a social media post about the garden's Cascade fountain reopening after a 16-month restoration, my walking companion and I decided to check out this hidden gem. Greenwood Gardens was a private family estate until 2003, when it opened to the public under the auspices of a non-profit organization, and you can really feel that rich tapestry of the families' history as you wander through the grounds. The highlight of our visit was the Cascade fountain, which now features water flowing through it for the first time since the early 20th century! If you're looking for a peaceful, historic, and beautiful place to stroll, Greenwood Gardens is absolutely worth the visit. We'll definitely be back! Pro Tip #1: Plan on about 75-90 minutes for a self-guided walking tour, buy tickets online in advance ($15 for adults aged 14 to 64; $10 for Seniors aged 65+; $5 for children aged 5 to 13), and wear weather-appropriate attire/walking shoes. Pro Tip #2: Leave your tripod at home. Casual photos on your phone are welcome, but portrait or staged photography (for events, engagements, graduations, etc.) requires prior permission and special facility booking.

Really friendly staff gave the kids a scavenger hunt page that turned our visit into part garden tour, part treasure hunt. Between the terraces, tile work, grottoes, and gardens, the whole place blends European formality with a whimsical, art nouveau vibe. Plenty of benches invite you to sit and talk, while fenced-in chickens, geese, and beehives bring the grounds to life. The gardens feel peaceful, playful, and magical all at once. The beauty here is truly un-beleaf-able! NOTES/TIPS: **Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors/students, and $5 for kids, with free parking close by. **Very limited wheelchair-accessibility: okay for the Main Terrace and some flat areas, but most paths are sloped or uneven, so access is limited. **Restrooms near the entrance.
