The Rose was a great experience both times I was there. I felt they cared about me, I felt safe and well taken care of. BHA's - Chree & Kate were soooo caring and understanding- as well as nurses Sharlene & Monica (LOVE LOVE LOVE Monica!) they are in the front lines and handle difficult situations with grace and integrity. I was discharged from The Rose on 10/21/19 (yesterday) and I have attended the Trauma group, Professionals group and meditation. Therapists Nicole, Sharon and Erin (director?) helped me through the painful processes of healing. Since I have a dual diagnosis the doctors took my concerns about depression and anxiety seriously and recommended medications that may work for me. Dr. O is great, a straight shooter and no BS. But my true angel was Mel W. (Alumni Coordinator) When I relapsed I reached out for help on the FB closed group and she contacted me immediately- She came to be with me during my intake for support at 11 or so at night! She let me fall apart and just cry. What staff does that? Not any of the other treatment centers that I've been to. If you REALLY want to stop using, will go to any length to get sober and have come to a place of acceptance, I highly recommend (as a woman) The Rose. What more can I say? Thank You

In March 2025, i found a hidden camera in my apartment complex RISE48 in Pheonix Arizona and then proceeded to have a failed suicide attempt. Throughout the next year I was a victim of Project Monarch, and received many death threats and was gangstalked for over a year in person. Online very many people participated in my Project Monarch -- severely mentally incapacitating me. I checked into this facility to receive treatment for the accompanying alcoholism that followed. My time at the facility was nothing more than their attempt to further Monarch me and attempt to 'split' me. Several other residents referred to me as a man throughout my stay. Further DID behaviors were directed my way every single day I was at the facility by residents and staff. The residents intentionally tried to get under my skin every single day, all day long. Ending in theft from my roommate prior to my walkout. Having stolen something of my own, I found amongst her own belongings. Every single resident in this facility perpetuated my PROJECT MONARCH including bullying, slights, and themes meant to intentionally unravel me. Themes of my monarching were present amongst alomst every single resident at the facility. Four of the other residents referred to me as a man / he / him while I was at the facility. I am a young woman, 28 years old. Project Monarch. One resident called me a BEAST and referenced BEAUTY AND THE BEAST as she did claiming, the case worker LINDSEY had mentioned it prior. They set me up to fail (purple bag bag'd) every single day and prior to my first step in the facility. They set me up to fail no matter what I did or did not do. 0/5 stars.

Not only that but when you bring clothing in and they inventory it prior to taking it to the patients rooms, they lose items and don't seem to care about that fact. I have visited my mom several times while she has been in there and every time i find them not taking care of her needs. I wouldn't recommend this for anybody that has a paraplegic older person. Seems like they only care about collecting the insurance money and not the patients well-being.

I was told they offered late appointments (4-6 PM), which is the only reason I agreed to move forward. That turned out to be false--the latest appointment they offer is 4 PM. I adjusted my schedule anyway and booked eight sessions 2 weeks after the initial appointment . I then get a call, one week before my appointment saying they made a mistake and scheduled me with a therapist who only handles Workers' Comp cases. Now all of my appointments have to be redone. Their solution? Daytime appointments that don't work for anyone with a normal job. Between the long wait, misinformation, and careless scheduling errors, this place clearly does not have their operations together. I will not be using Brooks Rehabilitation services.

I would have to say that the physical and occupational care team were the best and deserve all the highest rating possible for such a facility. That being said, I can not say the same for some of the other staff members/ health care providers who work there. They often use agency staff members to fill in on days that they are short staffed. it's clear that a majority of the agency works don't really care about the patients and treat it as if it's just another paycheck since they get paid by day. That being said I did find the regular employees to be pleasant and treat the elderly residents well. In the long run, I would not recommend sending any of my loved ones there as a long term or short term solution and would highly recommend that if you are thinking about this place for an elderly loved one, please visit them first when going your research. Although it is located in a nice part of town, surely there are other centers I would consider first.

In order to get to my husband's room, the first hall we had to go down was a nursing home environment. This included what appeared to be duller/dingy lights, the smell of bodily fluids, & someone yelling "help me!". We were there for in-patient physical therapy, not to be sent to a nursing home. The room itself was a private room, on the larger side. Only problem was, there was one chair in there. Not suitable for the patient, if they wanted to sit instead of lay in bed, & not suitable for visitors that were staying for more than a few minutes. It was very depressing in there. My husband was in the room for several hours at a time, without anyone coming in there to check on him. When a resident pushed the nurse button, a squealing noise could be heard very easily, even with the door shut. The staff ignored the call lights & the light/sound would be on for a minimum of 20 minutes before staff went in there. While he was there, the same person yelling "help me" could be heard on multiple occasions. He first was transferred there at about 2:30pm. Without medicine. They did not give him any medicine that night. The next morning, I had to bring him his morning medications because they still did not have any for him. He needed pain medicine for what he was originally taken to the hospital for. He couldn't get that, not even Tylenol. When I tried to tell someone about our concerns, no one seemed to know who to talk to about it. When I tried speaking to the social worker, she was leaving to go to a meeting. What started as a 30 minute meeting turned in to her being gone from her office for literally hours. When I mentioned leaving AMA, the nurse said that my husband could not leave. When I assured her that he could, then she changed her story & said that he could, but insurance might not pay. As soon as we told her that he wanted to leave, she was not nice at all. Needless to say, we came home after one day. He has an appointment with his doctor & he will be doing outpatient physical therapy. Stay far, far, far away from this place. We will never go there again.

She followed up by sending me an email with a link so I could explore the facility. She also offered a tour when it was convenient to me. A friend from Church was going to visit his friend, a resident at Atrium, and invited me to go along. I had to wait in line to sign in and pay ($10) for lunch. Not sure what was going on with the receptionist. She was somewhat rude to the person in front of me who was a resident ordering a ride to an appointment. When it was my turn, she took the money and told me to sign in using an automated device. I did not receive a receipt and have no idea how the dining room staff knew if I paid or not. We made our way to the dining room. The salt and pepper on the table were labeled as belonging to a specific person. No other salt/pepper was available. We were given menus but they did not match what I had seen on line. On-line the menu has 2 versions: a standard and a seasonal one. The on-line version has a cheeseburger as an option and tilapia was on both the standard and seasonal menu. In person, there was not an option for a cheeseburger and the fish was basa. I ended up ordering the basa, baked potato, carrots and soup (cream of cauliflower?). It took more than 20 minutes for the food to come out. I was brought a salad (maybe they were being nice) and eventually the soup. The fish was a sliver, about the size of my index finger, and I have no idea what kind it was. No taste and covered in what appeared to be pepper. There was a baked potato which was so over-cooked it had began to shrivel. No carrots-no explanation when I asked. No butter for the potato- they use a cholesterol friendly alternative. Inedible. My friend is a diabetic and it did not appear that they have a menu to address that. Asked a staff member and she either didn't hear me or ignored my question. Dessert came by on a tray and you could select what you wanted. It was a sad experience for me. I enjoyed the company and felt like I was able to see the true facility. We are still looking for a place. I would definitely make a visit to any place I was considering before placing a loved one there.
