Barely there a month and had to go to rehab for broken hip for 3 weeks. Traumatic situation happen to her on a Friday and she died the following Thursday. I can't prove anything, but know in my heart she was neglected for at least an hour before she was found. She just couldn't recover from that terrible situation. Suggestion to the team, take a picture when an incident occurs to learn from it. Follow thru with night time protocols to protect them. Put bed alarms somewhere to be heard at all times. If that is impossible, have someone sitting in nurses station or in hear shot of the alarms. Our loved ones are already in a strange place and don't understand the things they are going thru whether it is Dementia, Alzheimer's, or Parkinson's. Pay your caretakers more then $17 an hour. Especially when residents are paying thousands and thousands of dollars for care. You say you care for your residents.....

No just a sales pitch but really asked about him as person. I really loved the backyards & how they all touch and converge. Feels like it's more open and free. My dad can take his dog on a walk and visit other houses. The houses are big but there was not much decoration. Kind of felt empty. No little Nick Nacks or cushions & pillows in the bay windows. Nothing to make it feel homey. Everything was clean just maybe too modern. There was not much going on in the first house, just a tv program on, no music & nothing else happening but the second house had an activity and it seemed livelier. But only 3 people were doing the craft. I really loved the friendly staff. I met some directors. Jamie directs the care was super funny & had such a great spirit. I would like my Dad to move here this summer. I know that Tasha and the other staff really work hands on and believe in their place. I love the communication we got and the open door policy. I feel like it's a great fit for someone like my dad who still wants to have some freedom but be safe.

My dad just needs assistance because he is feeling weak to get up. I called the facility because I live out of town. Lori said they do not have caregivers to help my dad because he is in independent living. Lori even told me she is busy at the moment. Wow so if you're love one get stuck on a chair they will not do something, you have to call ambulance. Unbelievable place. No sympathy at all to elders especially LORI she does not deserve to be a director! I am just waiting for another facility to be available, I can't wait to move my dad. Directors like LORI needs to know and change her attitude how she treats elderly, because it might get back to her when she will be at their age. This is a NO! NO! facility no wonder ownership change a lot!!!
