Melanie and her staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I have used them for assistance in senior and disability matters.

If that is impossible, have someone sitting in nurses station or in hear shot of the alarms. No just a sales pitch but really asked about him as person. I really loved the backyards & how they all touch and converge. Feels like it's more open and free. My dad can take his dog on a walk and visit other houses. The houses are big but there was not much decoration. Kind of felt empty. No little Nick Nacks or cushions & pillows in the bay windows. Nothing to make it feel homey. Everything was clean just maybe too modern. There was not much going on in the first house, just a tv program on, no music & nothing else happening but the second house had an activity and it seemed livelier. But only 3 people were doing the craft. I really loved the friendly staff. I met some directors. Jamie directs the care was super funny & had such a great spirit. I would like my Dad to move here this summer. I know that Tasha and the other staff really work hands on and believe in their place. I love the communication we got and the open door policy. I feel like it's a great fit for someone like my dad who still wants to have some freedom but be safe.

My father continues to receive…read morecompassionate, loving care from the incredible nurses, CNAs, therapists, and physician at The Ranch. They know him, they genuinely care about him, and that means the world to our family. That said, I have two concerns that I hope management will address. The first is the decision to convert one of the rooms into a three-bed room. Quite honestly, it is simply too small. There isn't enough room for three patients, their visitors, wheelchairs, walkers, and the staff who need to care for them. The patient in the bed nearest the door has people constantly squeezing past, and visitors often have to step out of the way just so others can enter or leave. With three televisions competing for attention and conversations happening all around, the room often feels chaotic rather than restful. When a physician, nurse, therapist, or other staff member comes in to provide care or transport a patient to therapy, the room becomes so crowded family members often need to step out just so everyone can move safely. Maneuvering wheelchairs and walkers in such a confined space is difficult, and there is very little privacy for conversations about a patient's care. Even as visitors, we often find ourselves speaking in a low tone of voice because we don't want to disturb the other patients or interrupt their care. It creates a crowded, uncomfortable atmosphere that doesn't feel conducive to healing and, in my opinion, could become a safety issue if there were ever an emergency. My second concern is staffing. This is not a criticism of the staff themselves. Quite the opposite. They continue to be some of the kindest, most compassionate people we've ever met. My concern is that they appear to be carrying an impossible workload. They are constantly moving, always helping someone, and rarely seem to have a moment to breathe. It breaks my heart because these are exceptional caregivers, and I worry that they're being asked to do too much. I truly hope management recognizes that the people working here are this facility's greatest asset. Please don't stretch them so thin that they burn out, and please reconsider whether that three-bed room is really in the best interest of the patients. We remain grateful for the care our father receives, and we still recommend The Ranch. I hope management views this review in the spirit it's intended. We continue to trust The Ranch with our father's care, which is exactly why I'm taking the time to write this. These concerns aren't meant to criticize the outstanding staff--they're meant to help preserve the quality of care that makes this facility so special :)
