Additionally, the actual shoot was phenomenal, and everyone I worked with was incredibly welcoming and put all of my nerves at ease. Amanda (the photography assistant) was the first person I encountered. She was so helpful and made sure I was comfortable. I also found it impressive how easily she anticipated the needs of my photographer, Jenny, throughout the shoot. They worked incredibly well together. My hair and makeup artist, Joie, was so fun and had great energy. It really was the best way to kick off the shoot, and I felt so good after she finished up with everything. Finally, Jenny was an incredible photographer. I was so worried about posing and my pictures looking too staged, but she really took the time to show each pose first (with very simple instructions to follow), which was very helpful. I never felt rushed, and she got some really amazing shots that I thought looked natural. As a whole, they all hyped me up and made me feel so confident and sexy. Truly a great experience. Even my reveal session was amazing from a customer lens. Cynthia showed me my pictures and was so patient while I tried to narrow them down. She gave helpful advice when asked, and I left feeling like I had a solid set of pictures picked out (though it was hard to narrow them down because there were so many great ones). I spoke with an associate on the phone, she walked me through the process, told me pricing started at $950 and I wrongly assumed that much money would pay for digital images. After I paid a $200 non refundable deposit, I saw a price sheet that spelled out the specifics for keeping my images. Very expensive and very few digital images are included unless you spend thousands of dollars. I couldn't justify the cost of the experience for only keeping one print so I cancelled. If you're looking to do this only for the experience, I bet it would be amazing but I was hoping to keep the images as a gift.

I, on the other hand, would rather drop dead than get dressed down in front of a camera. However, it was our wedding after all and we have been together over 11 years so I thought he deserves something special. So, with a big grain of salt and a whole lot of champagne, I showed up to my appointment at the Line Hotel. I have been to the hotel before, but in general, if you have the chance to book a shoot at this location I really would recommend it. It gives you a whole separate swanky feel. I went up to the room and Lauren was up there with the hair and make up artists. In general it was an absolute vibe. The girls were so friendly and pumped to make me feel beautiful, even though I was incredibly nervous. They asked me what I wanted done with my hair, and I indicated that old Hollywood waves for a more pinup girl look was what I think my husband would want most. They absolutely smashed it. After the hair and make up artist left, it was just Lauren and I. Queue the panic? NOPE! While I am a more curvy girl, Laura instructed me to strike several poses that felt very silly but ended up coming out incredible! She somehow captures a romantic but edgy feel, and there's nothing quite like the lighting that she uses to accentuate the absolute best of us. Her positive attitude, words of affirmation, and general chill attitude made the whole thing feel like I was a movie star. She never pushed me to do any more or less than I wanted to, never made me feel rushed, and helped decide which lingerie pieces would look the best. I'm admittedly not someone who orders them for other family or couple shoots I've done, but something about the way she put together the looks made it seem like the art it truly is.
