Please read this before you decide on using Brookey Ins as your broker for car insurance. Worst over all customer interactions I have ever experience in my life. I will not even go into what I was told versus what I have received. I understand that sometime errors happen and I too make errors at work. That I am okay with. What I am not okay with and find extremely unacceptable is the service I have received in the short 15 days I have been with brookey. I have cancelled already. I dont want any money back. I just want out of this joke of a company. I never write bad reviews because I typically like to focus on the positives because we are less likely as humans to appreciate the good. However, all that is out of the window. I called on FOUR occasions and each time I was told that Cassy Brooks would call me back. I call the DAY I receved an overview of my policy. I had some very important questions. Never received a call. On my 4th and final call (today) I asked if I may be placed with someone who is more available to talk. I was then told anyone could help me. Wow. That would have been nice to know prior. Anyway, I shared my frustrations. Two minutes after we got off the phone I receive a phone call from Cassy Brooks personal phone ON HER DAY OFF. This is how the conversation went. "Hi is this amanda. Yes. This is cassy from brookey ins and my coworkers are blowing me up on my day off and I do not appreciate you making threats to my employees about our reviews. And i know you know my aunt from treatment and she is not doing well so...." I hung up. 4 seconds later brookey called and said "I called cassy to let her know what was going on. I said yes, and she called me, cussing me out. The girl said well figure it out with her cuz I don't know what's going on." I said wait, are you serious. She said, yah I dont know what to tell you. I then asked if there was someone in upper management that I could speak with. She said...I will forwArd your information. Nooooo. Unacceptable business practice. First off, her coworkers called her on her day off, for what? Sounds to me like high school musical.... Needless 2 say, I called state farm, got a quote. 15 dollars cheaper and my down payment is my 1st month of insurance. I have also been advised to contact the insurance commissioner and file a formal complaint. You bet you I did. I have also screen shotted her phone call from her personal cell. If you would like to avoid this high school drama, I advise you to stay far away. Read the reviews and trust them. The lesson I have learned through all of this is to do more throughout research before I sign anything. I truly hope you are reading this BEFORE you are suckered into signing with Brookey Insurance. This is the worst company ever! You will be lied to. You will pay too much. You will be hit with a deceptive fee. They will/might take care of things for you ONLY while you have a policy, they will NOT take care of any errors if you cancel. They will NOT provide good customer services. They will NOT treat or talk to you like you are a real human being after you cancel your policy through them. Like most others on here I was at the dealership, it was late and I was ready to sign the finance paperwork and get out of there, but I needed insurance first. Like others have stated my sales person told me Brookey Insurance would get me the best rate possible and it would be fast. I took the bait, she said fast, it was near 8pm and I had an hours drive home and still had to sign the finance paperwork. So I agree and sign the paperwork with Brookey Insurance, the agent said she found the best company and best rate for me and I took it with much apprehension (they signed me up with the insurance company I had been dealing with for months and was very unhappy with, their client hit me causing a total loss of my vehicle and settling was and still has been a nightmare). I got the whole promise from the agent that in 6 months I would be able to get a better rate no problem at all. Of course there was the sketch fee I had to pay, but what are you going to do at 8pm at the dealership? About a month after the purchase of my car I received a letter from the lienholder stating they hadn't received proof of insurance, which I was told would be sent to them. I called Brookey and they sent it in. I changed banks and was on an auto draft, so again I called Brookey Insurance to notify them of my account change, they took care of it. After 5 months of paying too much to a company I hadn't been happy with and have been trying to settle with for 6 months, I decided to look for quotes from other companies on my own, without Brookey Insurance. Sure enough I find the almost same exact policy with another company for a lot less money, and half the deductible! I again call Brookey Insurance to cancel, the receptionist in a very rude tone asked "can I ask why?" I told her I had found a better rate with another company, and I got nothing but rudeness from then on. She said that I had to send a cancellation notice in writing and provided me with an email and fax number. I cancelled on the 13th of the month, my auto draft was set for the 20th, so I asked the lady if everything would be taken care of with the auto draft so that I wouldn't be charged for that month, she assured me that everything was fine and no other charges would come out. At no point (sign up, changing my bank info, getting proof of insurance sent, and finally cancellation) did I ever speak directly to the insurance company. On the 20th, at 5pm I receive an email from the insurance company saying thank you for your payment. I checked my account and see that they money was debited from my account when I had been told it wouldn't. I called Brookey Insurance, there was a voicemail and it gave a phone number for afterhours quotes. I called that number, obviously upset. The lady, even ruder than the receptionist, says this number is for quotes only and I'm not working, you're going to have to call the insurance company yourself and hung up on me. I kept calling back and finally text the number letting her know I could do that all night, she replied that my policy had been cancelled and the money should not have been taken from my account but there is nothing she could do because she is with her family and the insurance company is also close for the evening in addition to Brookey Insurance being closed so I could call the insurance company at 8am because Brookey is just an agent and doesn't have my money. It's not their problem, but I was having my wisdom teeth removed the next morning at 8am, when both places opened, I knew afterwards I wouldn't want to call either company to deal with this as I'd be in pain. Not to mention the fact that I had NEVER dealt with the insurance company directly. But because I was no longer over paying for the insurance they found me they were no longer willing to help. Boy I wish I had gone with The General Insurance instead of dealing with these crooks! They told me my policy would be $149 a month, charged me $249 and then when I cancelled, they refunded me the 149 but kept the extra $100! Highway robbery if you ask me! Also I cancelled because I was sick over the extra $100 they drafted out of my account without my knowledge and so I shopped around and not only did I get a better policy from Farmer's, but at $49 cheaper each month! I originally purchased my car Insurance through Brookey Insurance back in June of 2013. During my purchase the representative mentioned that in 6 months I would be eligible for a discount, which I highly appreciated. I called in November and requested a new quote based off the information my first rep gave me. The new rep provided a quote that was $30 cheaper than what I was paying. That said I asked the rep to move forward with that so I can take advantage of the savings being offered. I specifically asked if I need to do anything else and she said no for it has all been taken care of. Now comes December 2013 and I notice my insurance auto-pay gets charged the same amount meaning the discount was never given to my new quote. So I call Brookey Ins. and speak to a new rep, the rep says that the system has no conversation recorded about my request to cancel my current policy and renew for the cheaper price. She also mentioned that multiple people were fired because they were not doing their jobs properly. So I asked if there is formal training and whether or not they have any sort of SOP's which she responded with "I am not sure." That was a little disturbing but I empathized with the rep about the lack of talent in her office and proceeded to request another quote with them, Again the rep tells me that I am eligible for the discount and she sent my cancellation form to get signed. I quickly signed and returned it to the email that it was sent from. I have the email and time stamp as evidence. Due to me lack of experience with purchasing and cancelling Car Insurance I figured the rep had taken care of everything and my new policy would be issued for January. Now comes January and I notice I have been charged the same amount, again! I reached out to Brookey Ins. and got the owner on the phone. She said that the rep that had spoken with me is no longer working there. Then she started telling me a story about how these recent reps that have departed were driving long distances to come to work and couldn't handle the commute. How that is relevant or applicable to my issue I have no idea. She then claimed that I never sent my cancellation email of which I said I would send to her for validation. After I sent the email to her showing her that I had taken care of my part she responded with this email: "Lisa was still with the company at this time, but I do not show that we received this email. I am the owner and have access to all emails. You didn't follow up that this was received or processed." I am under the impression that when I respond to an email with a signed .PDF, it would constitute as a "follow up." The owner did not empathize with my issue what so ever and was very agitated and saying "that it is unnecessary for you to call them" when I mentioned I would call the car dealership that she has a relationship with. I have exhausted everything I have in trying to explain to her about the nature of her business in regards to Insurance being a commodity and that if she would like to continue business with me I would appreciate a compensation for the money that I would have saved during this fiasco. read more

The dealership surprisingly recommends this insurance. they set me up for 143 telling me that would be the best they could do with my driver's record. They then charge 100$ extra as some kind of fee,. I go with it because I needed insurance--big mistake. I try a geico quote, and guess what...they can set me up with my driver's record and all for the same package at 69$. Plus no 100 fee. Meanwhile, I've been paying very promptly with Brookey, and still they decide to up my premium t0 175 bucks because I'm not set up for automatic payments. Even though I've paid you promptly twice already, you feel the need to up my premium just becaue I don't want to give you my banking information. Nice. It sure seemed to me these guys are just in it for that initial big payments and are taking advanatage of people who need insurance fast and haven't though about it before hand are are stuck at the dealership needing it bad enough to be sold this bill of goods. I actually had the opposite experience from any of the other reviews. I bought my car in 3/2013. Got my policy and everything went well with payment and terms. Never was charged more than I was told. Had a review of my policy 6 months later (after receiving a speeding ticket) and was still able to get my policy lowered by $20.00 a month. So today I emailed them for another policy quote since mine expires at the end of the month. read more

Then once you're insured they come back with a different rate, in our case more than double the monthly quoted price. I switched to statefarm and they cost 150 less monthly than what i was given with them! Beware of this Scammers Company. Hyunday Car Pros Renton dealer recommend Brookey Insurance Company when I bought my car. Because I am not originally from the United States and it was my first car purchase in the US, I followed their recommendation. So, my English is not a perfect and i trust salesman who's told me that Brookey Insurance found me my "cheapest rate". Later, I was surprised with the highest rate that gave me a General Insurance via Brookey Company and i cancelled it. Brookey charged me the extra $110! And nobody didn't tell about that extra charge before. There are many reviews here that shows collusion between Brookey Insurance and Dealerships and it looks like Brookey shares consumers fee with sales persons. This is a clear presence of fraud. I cant belive Kia Car pros rocommended this load of crap... at no time was i made aware they were charging ME $100 to find insurance... and I get it 50 bucks cheaper from gieco!!! DO NOT GO THROUGH THEM. I went through this agency while at the dealership I was buying my car from. The girl I spoke with had found me my "cheapest rate", and was VERY nice. However when she gave me my total, I questioned why it was $100 over what she quotes my monthly insurance at. Instead of being HONEST she told me the $100 was for my down payment on my insurance. I didn't question it, however I should have. Turns out they charge you $100 as a one time fee for using their services to find insurance... While I understand everyone has to make money somehow... you are paying them to "Find the Cheapest Insurance rate" and they did far from that. I found multiple insurance companies with monthly rates at $50 less than the one they found me. You'd be better off searching for your own insurance quote. The best part of this experience was when I called the office to ask about this charge and I was told "Well it was in the paperwork, sorry she didn't tell you." read more

Warning Avoid. I bought a car and the salesman said this agency will help with the insurance. A lady at this agency got on the phone and told me she was going to find me the best insurance policy at the lowest cost in the market. I paid close to $300 down payment and they said they got me the best insurance deal/price of $178 p/month but after my first month I found out GEICO can give me the exact same policy for only $117 no downpayment! When I called this agency to discuss a partial refund of the $300 downpayment the staff was dismissive and very rude and put me a super long hold I had to eventually hangup. Avoid!!!! This agency uses deceptive and misleading language to make you think you got the best deal when in fact what you get is a rip off deal. read more

They charge $100.00 to sign you up with a different insurance company. They say they can get you the best rates, but you will get the best rates if you call whatever insurance company directly. I was referred to this company--specifically Kendal Pappuleas by Hanson Motors. I was told she was the best and would get me the best rate. What she did was rip me off. The company is very unprofessional and shady. I would NEVER EVER reccommend doing buisness with this company. I cancelled my insurance with them after 3 days and was out $100, PLUS $40 to progressive. the company did not get me the "BEST RATE" they didn't even come close to that. Once I wanted to cancel, and asked for a refund, no one would call me back or respond to any emails. They REFUSED to answer any of my questions or contact me regarding my frustrations. Brookey is ood team of brokers...keep in mind though-they are brokers-which entails a brokerage fee...they shop you between several different companies and do the hard part for you. I don't like spending time online putting in my info and getting calls from several different places for weeks...so the benefit of a broker is huge to me personally. If you don't want that service- don't go with a broker- if you do- they will take care of you promptly and provide great customer service after you sign up. I give them 4 stars. read more

I work another insurance company/broker, so I know what great customer service is. I have been a customer with them for 2 years now. What customers don't understand is rates change, driving records change, not all info is disclosed to the agent when the customer is signing up, this is no fault to the agency. Unfortunately agents get the short end of the stick most of the time. I must say Danyelle and the other agents there have always assisted me with any need that I may have. They did in fact find me the lowest rates possible for my situation. She followed up with me when I needed to add onto my policy. This was the worst insurance experience ever. The rates were super high and the service was terrible. I was lied to and they did not even cover my car when they said it was covered. I ended up getting sued by the person I got in an accident for over $10,000 because my car was never covered like Kim said it would be. I will never recommend anyone to them and buyer beware they are such a scam and stole my down payment and won't return any of my calls. I have hired a Lawyer to try to get my money back. I am a single mom from Alabama here alone with 4 children that now have to take public transportation everywhere because of Kim's and Brookey Insurance lies. Will not help you find the greatest deal. I was quoted auto insurance on my new car at $296 a month plus an additional fee to start it up that went straight to Brookey. That additional fee was over $100 and it was not made clear to me that it wasn't refundable when I found that I could get auto insurance at $168 somewhere else. I'm a new driver and didn't have much of a choice at the time because I had bought a new car and needed insurance right away to drive it off the lot. Sucked. Was charged $ without being them telling me. Was told it was my down payment to get my insurance started. Come to find out I was charged one amount for the insurance and a separate amount for there fees which equaled the amount they charged me. They NEVER said I was being charged a fee. I can't even say enough how great it was to have awesome customer service from Lois at this office. I am expecting a baby in 2018 and with the rising cost of Insurance in the state of WA, I had to evaluate all my options. When I bought my car last April Brookey Insurance was able to get me off the lot THAT day with coverage. I recently had to cancel the policy that Brookey had gotten me into me. This was NOT due to anything they did and the circumstances were out of their control. Lois was extremely understanding and helped me cancel the policy and she even gave me guidance for insurance in the future.
