I go to this nail salon when I want to get a pedicure done. I come here with my fiancé every so often. The staff here are always so friendly and they are always happy to answer any questions I have about their services. There have been a few times where I have brought champagne as well to drink while in the salon, and they have never said anything about it. Obviously be courteous about it. My fiancé and her girlfriends come here quite frequently for both manicures and pedicures, it's always their go-to spot. The prices here aren't terrible either. They all do such a great job, so you won't be disappointed in their quality at all. I'll definitely be back in the future! read more

My partner and I walked in about 30 minutes before closed and we were greeted extremely well! The staff working on Wednesday evening were so pleasant to work with! Been coming here on and off for a while. I recently started getting SNS nails and got my first ones here. First time, my nails were really short so it kind of looked awful and I think the technician mixed up the color so I wasn't fully satisfied. But after several times here and at my usual spot, I preferred the overall quality and longevity of my nails here. Few things to note, for SNS, they remove it with lots of acetone or chemicals. Smell is little hard to bare but the process is easier than how my usual nail spot does it, which is the same removal process as gel nails. Thickness has been consistent here as opposed to my other spot, where it differed based on the technicians and was on the thinner side that it would easily be chipped or be broken within couple of weeks. Initially when I made a visit here, it was hard to locate the spot since the name is Brookhaven Nail City but the logo/signage outside of the building only states Nail City. I think the gps mark is also little off on Yelp that it made it difficult as well. I remembered during my initial visits, it was a guideline that the technicians only spoke English. While that doesn't seem to be the case anymore, it was nice while it lasted. I actually thought the colors were little limited as opposed to my usual spot, but is adequate to meet your needs. As far as parking goes, there's 2 dedicated spots for the nail shop and plenty of parking in the back since the front parking are limited to 30 minutes. A bit of a hassle, but little walking won't kill you, I suppose. Overall, this is my new spot for nails! read more

I had a good experience at Nail City. I came in Monday afternoon with no appointment and they accommodated me with open arms. I was greeted by a lady with blue & black hair (I'm unsure her name, sorry) and she informed me Kenny will be doing my nails. I received a fill in with a nail repair. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he executed perfectly without complaints. I also received a pedicure, I wish I remembered her name I think it was Tham but she did okay. The ONLY con I have to give if I'm being honest is that I didn't get to soak my feet before/during and my feet still feel the same as when I entered no softer or refreshed like I usually feel after a pedicure. She just went straight to removing polish and performing the pedicure. Just wanted a second to relax and unwind before going straight into it & I wish she would of used the callus remover like I asked, she just used the filer that's used when buffering your nails on my feet. But I mean it is what it is, my feet look pretty in this lime color she chose. So I'll commend her for that, and the positive customer service experience I had. They did follow Covid policies by wearing a mask, just everyone wasn't socially distanced once people started to coming in to get serviced. But it wasn't bad or overly packed. Relaxed environment. Kenny made it a good experience by listening to me and my nail request, and the chill music. read more

Not really sure how this was rated so highly -- maybe I just got them on an off day or had the wrong technician, but this was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. I came in on a Saturday, maybe that is just not the most ideal time for this place. They were very busy, but I did not see anyone waiting For service, so I'm not sure why everything seemed so rushed. I got an SNS manicure with removal which came out to be $35. Usually I would say this was a good rate but considering the service, it was highly overpriced. When removing my SNS instead of just soaking them with cotton and foil, the technician had a bowl with a paper towel and acetone and rubbing my nails on the paper. Maybe I'm Bougie, but that was WAY more work than I was interested in doing-- call me crazy, but I like my trips to the salon to be a relaxing experience. There was also an issue of cleanliness. I noticed my technician was using a disposable file that had clearly already been used and when I asked her if she could get a new one for me, she responded with: oh we don't like to use new because they rip the skin... sure, lady. When applying the SNS, my tech also would coat multiple nails at a time and then dip them, instead of doing so individually and did not apply a base coat. It was just a very sloppy process overall and the coats were not even and thin so I could still see my nail through the polish at the end. she also did not even bother to clean all the excess dust on my nails at the end of the service. Also less than a week later, the polish had already cracked on 2 nails and chipped on one. But my tech was overall pretty nice and friendly so I will give 2 stars for that, but 0 for the service itself. read more

This salon has to be one of my favorites. I loved everything about my experience here. As soon as you walk in, you feel very welcome and relaxed. Their chairs are wonderful and have many different options for speed, pressure, etc. I really want to take the chair home with me so I can sit in it every day! The staff here is really great. Everyone is so polite and very friendly. I like that they don't pressure you into getting services you don't want or need. Also, having English speaking employees is always a plus. That way there are no misunderstandings or miscommunications. You also don't have that awkward feeling that they are talking about you or making fun of something. They also have a really good color selection. A nice manicurist with a bubbly spirit started on my feet while a more quiet one started on my manicure. The shop is clean, organized and the chairs are amazing. Went here yesterday, not real happy with the service. While the older gentleman did a ok job on my pedi, the gel mani I got wasn't good at all. The girl was polite and nice, but I will not go back because the service I got from her. First, she used a electronic nail file to take off most of my old gel, which is fine, but she filed so deep that the file went hot on few of my fingers, and I could actually see the uneven part on my thumb, which later felt really hot in the uv light...now my nail is ruined and I gotta spent some time to grow it back. Second, one of my nail was cracked pretty deep where you can't cut it off, she said she'll put glue on it, and I told her the glue is probably not gonna hold...she didn't understand me, so the guy that did my pedi translated, and told me they will put some powder before the gel...well, that didn't happend. She went straight to glue and that was it. Third, the thing that bothers most, is that she can't get the almond shape right...she end up cut and filed very deep to the sides of my nails, and now my fingers hurts...it feels like my fingers are swollen till now, it still hurts. Four, the gel polished I received was very thick which cost extra heat sensation under the if light, and just looked ugly. Everyone in the salon was nice, basic pedi and gel mani was $53 which is pretty cheap...but I am not going back... read more
