Unprofessional and will not be returning!!! I never had a issue with the women there. However,the guy there was rude and gave me a whatever attitude when I inquire about my nail color. The guy knew I left unsatisfied but he didnt care. I usually tip and left without tipping due to his whatever attitude. Also, I've been there before and it seems that their prices isn't consistent at all. I actually been coming there since I've been to ATL. I remember I paid for the same service before and I don't remember it totaling to the price he gave me. When you think you will be charged one thing and it end up being higher. Im over it and will be finding a different nail salon. Best pedicure I've had in a long time! Nice, new, modern nail salon and spa. Everyone was pleasant. Several massage pedicure chairs and nail service stations. There were 4 TV's (one in every corner). The gentleman providing my pedicure service brought me a bottle of water (without me asking for it), patiently helped me decide on a color and really took his time on my pedi. I appreciated that he did a thorough job on my cuticles and heels but he was gentle and there was no pain involved. His leg massage was amazing! I was in desperate need of a mani-pedi and because I was new to the area I just came to Buckhead Nails because it is close to my house. I don't think I will need to try anywhere else! When I walked in, I was asked to check-in but putting my phone #, name & date of birth into a kiosk on the counter. New & weird but ok... After I did that, I chose a color and was immediately called to a chair. The water was nice and warm. A lady came and gave me a pillow to place on my lap. She then laid a towel across that and asked me to stick my hand into a plastic sandwich bag. New & different from what I'm used to but again, ok. She then went to the back and returned with a complimentary bottle of water! They don't even do that in the upscale salons I've been to in NY. She poured a liquid into the bag and then pressed the liquid into my cuticles. She proceeded to do my manicure. She asked what shape I wanted and made my hands look like hands again! Like I said, I was in desperate need! Mid-way the manicure, another lady came to start my pedicure. I never even felt her doing anything. That's how good she was! Extremely gentle. But when she started the scrub rub on my feet and legs, OMG! I never understood when people said they were going to pamper themselves with a mani-pedi. It always felt like a chore to me. Initially my nails looked great, but they only lasted about a week. I've had SNS done numerous times and I've never had them to crack. Now it's been a little over 2 weeks and almost every nail has multiple cracks going across or down the middle. Usually my nails are dipped in the sns powder 3/4 times. This nail tech only dipped my nails twice. I thought that was strange, but I didn't question it. I figured new salon, new products, etc. Total waste of time and money. I know it's time for a fill, but the cracks are evidence of an inexperience nail tech. read more

Imagine being told that your nails were $85 dollars at the chair and getting charged $105 at the register?! Also imagine picking a $65 pedicure and then being charged $85 at the register?! There is "up charging" and then there is scamming and this was a scam! NONE of the prices were as advertised. I've been to this shop before and this has never happened but I noticed the nail tech asked "do you live in this area? And have you been here before?" Which very well may be the prerequisite to her deciding to scam me. Then she had the nerve to try and have a conversation at the end of my service about the economy and how a lot of shops were being sold etc. I knew that she was fishing for a tip but to turn around charge $105 for these nails was down right criminal. One of the better nail salons in Atlanta! Situated next to the Cherokee Plaza Kroger, it's a convenient stop if you're on a grocery run. It's upscale, comfortable, & relaxing. You receive bottled water when you're seated. Of course they're there to pamper your tired soles with a deluxe service, but when you're in a hurry & just need to pop in for the bare minimum pedicure &/or manicure, they're the best at accommodating you & fitting within your time constraints. They don't try to upsell to a mani/pedi combo as much as other places. They're all very courteous, efficient & detail-oriented. When you have the time for a pedicure with a massage - go for it! They do an amazing back / shoulder rub down & end with a facial massage & scalp massage. I felt so relaxed I could melt into the chair! The salon is clean with modern decor & modern equipment (massaging chairs). Although they mostly see women, they also care for men's feet. They have a large variety of polish colors, both for gel & non-gel applications. Walk-ins are usually acceptable but if you want to go during a busy time (weekends), it may be good to make an appointment. You can usually slip in & out quickly after work during the week. Prices range from $10-50, depending on what you have done. Most pedicures run $25-45. The prices are on par with other salons. Expect to spend ~1 hr for a routine service + drying time. read more

Came in here because it was very convenient to where I was running errands. Nice big salon & at 3.45 on a Saturday I didn't have to wait, which was nice. I had Miss Julie as my tech for my brow wax, lip wax & manicure. The brow & lip wax were good, she was very gentle which I appreciated. The manicure was only ok. I felt very rushed, and she kept looking behind me to see if she would get another guest who was having more done - mani pedi kinda thing. After examining my nails they just look sloppy, which I really hate. The whole time she went too fast & at some points filed my nails while looking away- not ok! Seated next to me was a regular (she knew everyone's name) & her tech was much more precise & slow. As a walk in I think i should have been given the same respect & service. I'd drop back in in a pinch for a wax but probably not a manicure unless I had time for them to redo it if I wasn't happy - which was not the case today. read more

Tommy did my (Gel) manicure and Daisy did my pedicure, both were FANTASTIC. I don't treat myself often to get this done, im definitely a fish out of water lol. Im also very sensitive, its actually uncomfortable/painful to have my cuticles trimmed and both big toes have hangnails. To say I loathe a mani - pedi is an understatement. I explained my sensitivity snd BOTH of them took extra care to make me comfortable. I was lost at where to put what hand and foot, We laughed together about it. Mani - Pedi was painless and came out perfectly. Both were engaging and conversational im spite of the language barrier. I have been a loyal client to this salon for over a year. the person who does my nails does a good job but they have zero idea of customer loyalty. they will NOT do repairs and if they do they will make you wait hours or tell you to come back the day the person who did your nails works. I have come in countless times and even called over the phone and was told Kevin did not have time to do my nail repair. They didn't know I also wanted a pedicure. IT IS LIKE A SMACK IN THE FACE TO GO TO SOMEONE FOR OVER A YEAR. HE CHARGES THE SAME PRICE BO MATTER WHAT I GET. ITS ALWAYS 100.00 or more. I normally pay over $100 at my normal place for nails and feet, so the price wasn't the issue, it was how they went about it. Why ring me up for a full set if I got a fill in? I decided to stop here for an SNS french manicure as I didn't feel like driving to my favorite salon in Roswell and I wanted to stay closer to home in Buckhead. I should have driven the 30 minutes. I specifically asked for rounded and got square nails. Ok, I can live with that. But the quality of my french manicure is lacking. Not only were my nails not smoothed properly and misshapen, but the french manicure on my right hand was done sloppily with the white running done the side of my nails. Went to this place for the first time. I asked the employees at the front desk (2 men) if I could get a gel pedicure, my acrylic nails removed, and a gel manicure with an acrylic overlay. Both the men laughed in my face and said "uh huh". I looked at them blankly & and said idk get what's funny. One said I was joking with you and was telling you I understood what you were saying. I really didn't get the joke. It was more snarky than anything. Honestly the worst part of this experience to me was the manicure. When the nail technician decided to remove my nails the old school way with an acrylic nail. He ripped all my natural nails off basically. Before he did the second hand I asked him if he could try his hardest to salvage the nail he said yes. Then continued to roughly rip the rest of them off. I just think he was rough and rushing through like he didn't care about how it felt. Living in California, maybe I'm spoiled, but I'd never go to a place like this again. And if I'm being honest, ladies, specifically black women, we really can find better services in our own community rather than going back to these nails shops that don't treat us right or know how to do anything special like creative designs. I'm coming in a bit harsh, because my pedicure wasn't that bad. Still... just overall rough and not really caring about the customer. Sadly I'll walk away from this experience with horrible nails for the next few weeks until my fingers properly heal. Whole experience just weird. Yes, I paid $84 for a manicure and pedicure, and yes I'm ashamed to admit it, but the level of service I got here was fantastic and it softened the blow of the "Ow my gosh did I just pay that much for nail service?????" realization. I did some type of super pedicure that involved scented salts, candle wax, soft music played personally by Kenny G himself, bottles of water, and multiple massages. Yup, it was pretty amazing. I'm a runner and 2 weeks later my feed still look good. That's a definite plus. Here's why I can't give them 5 stars; my manicure was meh. My nails still held their shape and haven't really broken off (I have the worst nail beds ever) but I'm not sold on the manicure. I got the same level of service (Kenny G, scented salts, multiple massages and by candle wax) with my manicure, but I left with my nails looking "aiight" instead of "flipping fantastic!" This place is a gem. I almost don't want to write a review so it will remain my secret spot. I have been there twice, and both times walked out with a superb mani/pedi. They paid attention to detail, took pride in their work, and didn't try to sell me a bunch of other stuff like extra massage, or special potions that "You need". The standard mani pedi comes with a shoulder massage too! One of the best things about this place is how clean it is, and it is obvious that they take care to clean after each client.
