This was my first time here, which it was to view a documentary. Upon entering there are seats & a bar, which gives you sometime to mingle if you get there before your showing start time, or you can mingle after. One of the things that I wasn't too happy with was a man was literally talking loud during the documentary & I felt security or someone should've removed him sooner than they did. I saw when he was getting escorted out & he looked drunk, but him talking went on too long & the theater part is small. Everyone had to have heard him. Aside from that, it was a cool little spot.

This is like the perfect place to see an off broadway type show. Staff were very welcoming. The location was easy to find. The theater was very quaint and intimate. I'd go back for another show.

Wow what a space! South Williamsburg's needed a space like this. Between the cafe, bar, and rehearsal space-- not gonna lie. This is heaven. I rolled through on a Saturday night and bumped into one of the owners. I was sort peeking in from the outside and one of the owners waved me in. I was dressed like a bum and looking hella suspicious so shout out to them being a sweetheart. I was just looking for bar and lol accidentally found myself attending an interactive piece later in the night. The space is pretty new. It's a mix between a bar/cafe, theater, restaurant, and they even have podcast studios. It's HUGE. The entrance is a rotating active gallery. It was set up with Genesis Be's work at the time. They're known for leading the charge to remove the Confederate Emblem from the Mississippi Flag. I love spaces with active gallery space. Being able to live and interact within art warms my heart. Apparently there are also shows most nights -- There's a weekly circus show called Cirkus Moxie on Wednesdays. Definitely mad interested. I got there in-between the first and second show of the night. There were some snacks served -- mediterranean bites and charcuterie boards. The crowd was varied and genuinely nice. The real stand out was the Matcha martini and the orange wine. Sooo delicious, it's definitely worth a try. I also need to give a shout out to the OLIVES in my dirty gin martini. I'll be back with my partner for sure. A solid date spot. They're open late which is a big bonus post COVID.

I manage events remotely from the West Coast, and I was in dire need for a last minute drumkit rental. To make matters tougher, the drummer for the event was traveling so I couldn't get the exact specs needed. Here's what the team did for me: 1. Helped me pick the PERFECT drum kit for our jazz set simply based on previous videos/pictures of my drummer's performances. 2. Accommodated an earlier pickup on the day of to help us do sound check in time. 3. Accommodated a later drop-off because of logistical issues on our end. 4. Lastly, despite being in need, they didn't scalp me. They worked with me, and offered a reasonable price. I work with a lot of studios + venues, and the professionalism and hospitality of this team is undeniably S-tier. If you're an event promoter, an artist, or a band manager, I can't offer a higher recommendation for Red Note. Special thanks to Will for ironing out our contract, Rose for handling logistics, and Joey for really looking out for his employees as well as graciously dealing with us.

When I would travel far from home, sometimes I would need to find a place where I could find a piano/keyboard practice to use. I checked out Yelp to see what studios were near me during a recent Brooklyn trip, and Red Note had excellent reviews (and more importantly availability on short notice). If you are looking for a music expert/audiophile review, you can skip this review now given my lack of technical knowledge. However, I can say that it was super easy to book a room by the hour, and the person checking me in once I arrived was friendly and helpful. The digital keyboard that I used worked well, and while it took me some time to figure out the audio setup, I ultimately had no trouble using the space on the two days I went. I would return to this studio without hesitation whenever I'm in Brooklyn or the NYC area.
