A nice chill vibes pool hall. There waitress was fast and came around often making sure I had everything I needed. The staff was friendly and you don't have to play pool, you can hang out at their bar & watch sports. Music wasn't loud at all. It was a comfortable volume to go with the vibe. This is a nice hangout spot for any occasion.

This is a newer pool hall that is right across the street from the Brooklyn Brewery and is a short walk from the Bedford Avenue L stop. The bar area in the front is super long and has plenty of space to drink and watch sports. As you go up the stairs in the back, you then enter the billiards area. They have a good amount of pool tables here - I think there were 12 in total. The place is not fancy and is your average pool hall decor wise, but the game is what's important after all. Plus, their prices are decent. They only charge $10 per person per hour.

This place was nice and airy, with a large menu. We played several games of pool. The waitress took our drink order and was super hospitable. I liked the vibe and will be back.

The menu is pretty diverse with various appetizers, sushi, and also ramen/curry so your standard izakaya fare. One of my favorite dishes here has been the chirashi. The fish was very fresh and it's pretty affordable. I've only ever been here in groups of two and I probably would recommend it for smaller groups because the space itself is small and most of the tables are two-seaters if I recall correctly.

It's been open for a few years, so clearly it has a good enough formula to keep the neighborhood happy. I have been here once before, but returned last week after dining several meals at Tomoni in Jackson Heights. Apparently, the owners are friends. Nonetheless, I needed to make the comparison. After my first few bites of their Tora Don and Chirashi Don, it was clear that this restaurant has the better quality seafood. Each slice of sashimi had vibrant colors, clean taste, and the proper texture. Tomoni is not bad, but fall slightly short of this caliber. With that said, there is an even farther gap between their rice quality. Though Tora is very good, Tomoni produces nearly perfect texture and acidity for my taste buds. Other than the best omakase restaurants in NYC, Tomoni shines as one of the best versions of sushi rice in the five boroughs. Service is good and space is cute. If I have a craving for some decent Japanese food, I would drive 20 minutes here for a meal anytime.
