LOL. 5 star reviews. Really? As the name states, this is NY pizza. As in super thin, super greasy, with crust so hard and crunchy, once you finish the parts with sauce and cheese, the rest of the pizza is inedible. The business itself is a dive. It's definitely a to-go place. It's dark and cramped. Not inviting. Just a few cheap tables and chairs set up. I won't ever come back here. Look! Apparently I don't like NY style pizza! That's not their fault. I find the crust dull and insipid, the sauce was fine, and the cheese was good, and the Pie was huge, but if the crust is thin it shouldn't be that soggy. More of a quick tip than review, but the famed Zepoli's are only done every once in a while, usually around the Holidays. I only found this out by mistake when I asked for Zepoli's and got Cannoli's. Oh btw the Cannoli's are really good. Cannoli's are supposed to be made with lard, it creates that crackling flakey crust, which this has. I so rarely get a Cannoli, let alone a good one I almost can't recall, but these are really good and to me makes no difference, your obviously not coming here watching your figure. read more

I thought it was OK. It was a little too well done for my tastes, but where the crust wasn't over-baked, it was a decent thin crust (but a little on the plain side). Could have used a touch more cheese. Will try it again to see if the oven time varies a bit. read more

Oh my God delicious! Amazing New York style pizza outside of New York, more often than not, is a lost cause. On this front, taking the advice from a kid a Best Buy was the best thing we could have done. We walked in and asked "You guys really from Brooklyn?" Answer: Chef is. Real New Yorker from Flatbush. A guy who knows his pizza, who loves his pizza, and you can tell. When you go to a franchise like Domino's or Pizza Hut, they measure everything. There's no artistry. But when he gets to work, it's all muscle memory - a sign that he's been doing this for years. For starters, while we waited for our pie, we snacked on some garlic knots. Yum! But nothing compared to the pizza. We devoured it! I don't think my stomach had been so happy with me in a long time. One bite and I knew we had found our go-to spot for doughy, saucy, cheesy goodness. We've got to go back for when they make zeppelins. read more

The pizza here is pretty great. I recognized one of the owners from another pizza place down in San Diego so I figured I had to try his place out. It's good to see people start their own businesses, especially in this economy. The place was pretty busy so that's great to see. I was told that this place has been opened for three months now. The pizza is really good. They have a great deal on slices. 2 slices and a drink for $6. Not so bad especially with the size of the slices. The combo should fill you up unless you're an avid eater. I tried some of their specialty items such as the lasagna slice. It tasted really good. They also serve beer here which is a huge plus. The owners seem nice. This is one of the better places to get slices up in North County. Does it beat Grimaldi's or Di Fara's in Brooklyn? We'll see...but this place definitely fits the bill! Try it out! read more

I grew up in Brooklyn and had missed REAL pizza! The worst part about moving to CA was the lack of great NY style pizza. At least it was til I found Brooklyn Boyz! Upon entering, immediately I felt as if I had found a little bit of home! The owners, brothers Dennis and Kevin are friendly, fun and generous in every sense of the word. The food they prepare is fresh, delicious and a great value. As previously mentioned in reviews, 2 slices and a soda for $6 can't be beat. Genuine fold over slices PACKED with toppings if you choose or perfectly complimented with their great tasting sauce and cheese. Garlic knots are HEAVEN! I recommend asking for extra galrlic and you won't have to worry about a vampire for a week! I can honestly say I have found a bit of "home" at this restaurant. Our family loves it here! read more

I came across this place by accident because I was originally planning on going someplace farther away. I was running late and so I stopped in here since it was close to where I was, and I'm glad I did. The pepperoni pizza I got was really good and the server was very friendly. From what I saw, it looked like most people who ate here were regulars and I was the only stranger. And I don't even think that this place exists in the greater Los Angeles area, but I could be mistaken. The price was not too bad either. It was $2.75 per slice of pepperoni pizza. They also have a deal where you can get 2 slices and a soda for $6, but since I don't drink soda I just got water. Fortunately, that ended up being under $6. If you are shopping in the area that this place is located in, give this place a try. So far it made a good first impression on me! read more

I had been given incorrect directions by my friend and they helped me find the place when I got all turned around. First impression, the place looks nice and has a good vibe. For food quality, the lasagna pizza was WAY TOO greasy and the marinara dipping sauce looked and tasted like tomato soup. My salad came with mushrooms but they were wet canned mushrooms and the cucumbers were whole(although that part could just be a preference). Um, yup... This place was bomb-bomb.... (thats two bombs). The pie was super delicious and large... The bread thingys were killer and cannolis were off the chain! I have never had a cannoli and when I read that they had them, on our way home, we turned around on the 78 and bounced the hell back for them... But I felt like a fatty, but then I realized, I am!
